"Spent four days at the Overlook with my wife & three adult sons and had a nice stay at this charming, comfortable log home with great views, privacy and plenty of bedrooms and plenty to explore in the region. The Hoback River from the upper head waters about 14 miles away (four miles as the crow flies) throughout the public access areas has cutthroat trout with numerous feeder creeks going all the way to Moran. There is a great deal of wildlife around the home with mule deer and antelope on the property. On the head water road to the upper Hoback there is a sizable bison ranch with numbers well into the hundreds.Katherine & Geoffrey were helpful in supporting the local businesses and we had a pleasant experience with the various people we met. Wyoming is big country so driving 100-150 day for basic items can be expected. Owning or renting ORV's adds a great deal to this property since you will have direct access to the national forests and linking trails from the house. Renting is possible through the sports equipment suppliers in Jackson & Pinedale but plan ahead. You will need a hitch to trailer the rental ORV's to this location which is common in the area since numerous trailheads are off highway roads where ORV's can't be used on. We rented ORV's one day in Alpine and fished the Greys River over the course of the afternoon and caught some nice cutthroats in 12-14" size. All our fishing access was from our rental vehicle. A four wheel drive vehicle is not necessary to access large portions of the Hoback and feeder creeks.
Beautiful country, you are in the wilderness so be "Bear Aware" and enjoy this location! Check out the Overlook Book at the house for the numerous activities Geoffrey & Katherine recommend."

"We loved staying at Warm Springs Lodge. The property was very nice! There was plenty of room for 12 of us! The kitchen is well equipped. The owner was very nice and quite helpful. We used the gas grill for our evening meals. The kids used the fire pit out front for S'mores. Crooked Creek Ranch was nearby and one of the couples with our group chose to stay there. It was close to us and we walked over and rented a 4-wheeler for the day. We were able to take a day to Jackson and another day to Yellowstone, but it is a bit far to see all of Yellowstone and get back to the lodge around dinner time. The lodge could have been a bit cleaner, but it wasn't unappealing at all."

"We are a family of 4 with 2 kids (age 5 and under). This cabin felt like it was just plopped in the forest; meaning the forest comes right up to the door. It was easy to get to, but feels very secluded. The owner was out of town during our stay but a neighbor was there if we needed anything. Another reviewer said the road to the cabin was busy, but that they had stayed during hunting season. We saw a handful of dirt bikes and 4 wheelers during our stay and that was it. Very peaceful. And plenty of room for our family. A word of advice, I have a 3 year old not 1 year old but I do remember what they are like. If you have a toddler bring a baby gate to prevent them from getting up the stairs into the loft area. Also the cabin has many knick knacks; you might want to go through and put them in a safe place before letting your toddler run freely about."
