Direct Oceanfront Oceanview 1 Bedroom 1 Bath
Pam's Palm Place is a recently remodeled St Augustine beach front condo (#118) in what is affectionately known by the locals as South Beach or Crescent Beach, just 5 miles south of St Augustine, the oldest city in America.
In November and December of 2016, we gutted this 400 square foot, one bedroom, one bath unit. It now has everything new...new drywall, new paint, new flooring, new cabinets, new quartz countertops, new appliances, new fully tiled bathroom and shower, new furniture, new TV and new blue ray player for those afternoon showers we tend to get on the coast. We have been told by several employees at the complex that this is now, by far, the nicest unit in the entire complex. We know you will love what we've done to the place.
The unit is small, only 400 square feet. Don't want you to be caught off guard by that. But, we have maximized the layout to make it feel roomy. It is on the first floor and conveniently located in the middle of the complex giving it great access to the stairs, handicapped ramp, parking, office and pool. It is nice not having to take take the elevator but the best part about being on the first floor is the patio. You still have a great ocean view but you don't have to look through the railing. You will think you are the only ones there when you are on the patio. It is very private and there is room to move out onto the grass and stay in the sun if you prefer or you can enjoy the shade once the sun moves over the complex at noon.
It has a queen bed in the bedroom along with a small closet area and TV. The bedroom also has a ceiling fan and new AC. Open the bedroom window and the back door and enjoy the breeze.
The living room is furnished with a full-size sleeper sofa.
Crescent Beach is considered by locals to be the most family friendly beach around. The beach is very spacious and as the tide goes out, it leaves behind a giant natural wading pool.
The bathroom has been tiled floor to ceiling and is absolutely stunning. The unit does not have a bathtub. It does, however, offer an easy-in, easy-out, step-in shower.
The kitchen has lots of cabinet space to store your food supplies. We furnish cookware and everything else you need to cook and feel at home, including a microwave/convection oven, two burner glass cooktop, blender, toaster and coffee maker.
There is a small dining area designed for two but if you extend the leaf, you will have room to spread out.
Above the dining table, we've installed a new 50 inch TV and blue ray player in case the weather turns bad. But as we say in Florida, if you don't like the weather, just wait 30 minutes!
The living area features a leather sleeper sofa and oversized ottoman to kick up your feet up on or you can jump in the recliner and watch the shrimp boats pass by on the horizon while you doze off for an afternoon nap.
The patio has seats for three plus two additional folding chairs. A great place to sip your morning coffee and watch the sun come up over the water.
We also provide two beach umbrellas, two beach chairs and other beach items so don't bother spending money on stuff that will just be taking up room in your garage back home. We don't furnish surfboards, paddle boards or bicycles, but there is a rental shop two doors down where you can rent those sorts of things.
You can feel secure, even though you are on the ground floor because the first floor patios are gated off from the public and even better, we are next door to the police department. There are dunes between the complex and the ocean which are home to various wild life. Our favorite are the turtles which like to nest just over the sea wall in front of our unit. The walkover to the beach is at the south end of our complex between units 107 and 108...we are unit 118...so we are just steps to the beach and also the pool. The pool is saltwater and is heated...very relaxing and great for your complexion.
You will love the location of this unit. There are four good restaurants within walking distance and another 30 or so along the five mile drive into St Augustine proper. There is a convenience store across the street and down one block where you can buy fuel, ice, snacks, beer and wine. You are one mile to a Dollar General. Four miles to a Publix grocery store. Five miles to the St Augustine Lighthouse. Five miles to St Augustine Beach. Six miles to famous restaurants like the Salt Life, Oasis and Sunset Grill. South Beach grill is still the best, though, and it is a two minute walk from the condo :) You are ten miles from the Bridge of Lions and the fort in St. Augustine.
The condo is smoke free with smoking only allowed in the parking area and on the beach. We rarely allow pets, but will consider a very small dog for an additional fee and deposit. We live in St. Augustine and are available to help with any problems and tourist type questions you might have. Our goal is for you to have an awesome time while you are here visiting. The beaches are great, but honestly, there is so much worth doing in St. Augustine, it is almost a crime to not experience the numerous things to do. About Kevin and Pam McBroom
The McBrooms have called St. Augustine home since 2011. They hail from Tennessee, but have fallen in love with the Florida lifestyle and the many fun activities of St. Augustine.
Kevin and Pam McBroom purchased this Condo in 2016
Why Kevin and Pam McBroom chose Crescent Beach
The McBrooms purchased this condo to accommodate visiting family and business associates. The unit was completely remodeled and refurnished in late 2016/early 2017 with top of the line cabinetry, quartz countertops, tile bath/shower and new appliances and decor. They chose this particular unit because of it's first level location in relationship to the dunes. Most of the lower level units have an obstructed view of the ocean, but not Pam's Palm Place. In fact, our favorite feature of our condo is that you have a beautiful private ocean view from the patio without the restrictive railing of the upper levels. As the sun heads west over the complex, you can move your lounge chair out into the grass and still soak up some rays or enjoy the shade on the patio.
What makes this Condo unique
Queen storage bed. Full sleeper Sofa. 50 inch TV. Wifi. Recliner. Blender (may sound trivial but they are rare!) Private patio with love seat and rocking chair. Beach chairs. Beach umbrellas. Beach towels. Laundry. Heated pool. Ice machine. Four restaurants within walking distance.

The condo is well kept and equiped for a short stay with many amenities near by. Great beach to walk. Trip by car into St Augustine or out to Flagler beach were easily made.
The perfect beachfront condo for two
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed a two night getaway in this beautiful beachfront condo. It is small was but just the perfect size for the two of us. It has been refurbished and decorated so well. Everything was so clean and fresh. The bathroom has a spa-like feel with beautiful tile and a stone floor shower. The condo is well decorated and has such a relaxing ambiance. The view of the ocean through the glass sliding doors is completely unobstructed and is amazing. The owners have created a wonderful oasis here. They have been so welcoming and helpful. We hope to have the chance to stay here again!
This waterfront condo was adorable on the inside. The view was great although we unfortunately went at a bad, cold, rainy time so we did not get to enjoy the beach at all. A couple of negatives are the size. This condo is small, really small. Also, this condo is also in a building where I assume they offer single nights stays. The maids would be rolling there carts up and down the hallways and guests can have dogs that would be barking a lot.
Dear Leann, sorry your experience was anything less than heavenly. We certainly wish you would have reached out to us so we could have tried to do something to help you feel better about your overall experience. I understand you are trying to inform future renters, and that's a good thing, because it can be hard to find the right fit when you're traveling. So let me address your issues...
In our own defense, we emphasize the size of the condo in the second and third paragraphs of our description of the property so folks are completely in the know before reserving:
"The unit is small, only 400 square feet. Don't want you to be caught off guard by that. But, we have maximized the layout to make it feel roomy."
People are busy today and maybe don't take the time to read the description. But honestly, we try to let people know what to expect, because we know how important their vacation is to them. We travel a lot and rent using HomeAway and VRBO and we've had good and bad experiences. So we try diligently to think of everything to make sure our condo allows for a time to make good vacation memories.
Although we rarely allow dogs, many of the owners do have a pet free policy. I've personally experience problems with this once at a Hampton Inn, so I understand your pain if your trying to sleep in. The staff onsite can usually correct any issues like this if asked to do so.
Some condo complexes have a Saturday to Saturday check-in/check-out policy. Beacher's Lodge allows each individual owner to rent as many or as few days as needed. So, for instance, your stay was from a Thursday to a Monday. There are multiple cleaning services changing the rooms as people check out. I'm sorry this was a nuisance for you, but it is pretty much unavoidable unless the whole complex changed to a Saturday to Saturday only policy, which the individual owners would never allow.
Up to this point we've had all 5 star reviews. We knew it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea and sooner or later we would receive something less than 5 stars. But I'm glad that your disappointments were for things you disliked personally and not for something where we weren't doing as our job as host and hostess.
Hopefully, this review will encourage future renters to read the property description thoroughly along with other's reviews about their stay.
By the way, we appreciated your taking such good care of our condo while you stayed with us.

The property is very clean with a beautiful view of Crescent Beach!
The property and room were both exceptionally clean. I was very impressed by all the amenities in the room. The floors were so clean I could’ve eaten off them! The view was beautiful. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the back patio and while watching the sunrise. There are restaurants within walking distance, and it was nice being so close to Saint Augustine. I would highly recommend staying at this comfy, clean condo! Thank you, McBroom’s!
Very nice condo for our 3 night stay!
This was our first trip to St Augustine and this was a very nice, clean and comfortable place for us to spend our 3 nights while here. Would definitely stay again!
Quaint, clean condo
nicely updated condo perfect for a couple's get away. Owners were easy to work with. We came in on heels of IRMA, and the owners made sure everything was okay and ready for guests. The best rating of a rental is, 'would I stay there again?', and the answer is definitely 'YES'.
