Charming 4 Bedroom Country House - 10 km from Summerside -

Mac Lean House is a bright and spacious 4 bedroom country home 10 miles west of Summerside.

The Grand River is about a half-mile stroll down a private lane beside Mac Lean House.

Mac Lean House has an enclosed deck where you can relax in the rocking chairs with your morning coffee. The kids will enjoy watching the farm tractors haul their machinery to the field.

After a day on the beach, you can mellow out with the setting sun and light up the fire pit out back.

This house offers everything you need for a relaxing stay on Prince Edward Island. (This is an easy-to-care for and no-fuss house suitable for kids and pets.)

There is a fully stocked kitchen, including a lobster pot and wok. Linens and towels are on hand. Jumbo beach towels are available upon request.

Washer, dryer and clothes line, dishwasher.

Location: Five kilometers from Miscouche. From the stop light in the village, take the Ladies' Slipper Drive N (the sign is up on the stoplight) out to Southwest Lot 16 on Route 12.
We advise our guests to remain on Route 12 on the way to MacLean House.

Summerside is a 20 minute drive away for grocery shopping, Empire 5 Theater, restaurants and two wharf-side lobster and fish markets and the Linkletter Golf course. The Mill River Golf Course and Water Park is 30 minute drive west.

There are a number of scenic routes and fabulous beaches such as Belmont Park, Linkletter Beach, Cabot Park and Thunder Cove within a 5 to 30 minute drive from Mac Lean House.

Cavendish is 45 minutes East.

Charlottetown is 60 scenic minutes away and here you will find diverse and wonderful restaurants, an historic waterfront area, and downtown shopping.

Cancellation Policy:
Travelers who cancel at least 60 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they've paid. If they cancel 30 to 60 days before check-in, they'll get back 50%. Otherwise, they won't get a refund unless their reserved dates are re-booked. If you have a reservation and wish to cancel, please let me know so that I have a chance to offer these dates to someone else. If you have a booking and do not show up to stay at the house and I haven't heard that you are not coming there is no refund for your booking.

Place was as advertised, clean and had everything we needed. If you like old farm houses you will like this place it had old charm. The cell reception in the area and wifi were not as fast as I am used to but it was a great place for a quiet getaway with the grand kids. No complaints we enjoyed our 4 nigjts there.

PEI base of operations!

The house was in a lovely location and had views of great sunsets in the evenings from the deck and the kitchen. The kitchen was very clean with good appliances and plenty of gear for cooking and serving etc.There were news bottles of shampoo and hand soap and body wash for guests and plenty of towels in the bathrooms. The rest of the house was a bit of a labyrinth with some odd rooms and uneven floors. The stairs were a bit steep and the landings not level so had to hold on tightly to the bannister. The host was there to greet us on the day of arrival and was very friendly and cheery.We found the location great for island exploration and hadsuper weather. Thanks PEI, we enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic Country House

Our stay at this country house was one of the most comfortable rentals we have ever stayed at. Suzanne, the host, was very gracious and accommodating. She was just a phone call away when minor assistance was needed and came immediately. The beds were extremely comfortable. Everyone staying with us said the same. The rooms were clean and tidy. The kitchen was just like being in your own home. You wanted for nothing when trying to cook and have a meal. More than enough dishes, silverware, pots, and pans, a microwave, coffee maker, toaster and also a toaster oven. Having the dishwasher really helped. The washer and dryer were also used.Having the two bathrooms was a great help. One has a bath and a shower, the other has a walk in shower. There were plenty of towels.We also used the screened in porch every day and night to sit out listen to the birds and enjoy the stars in the sky. There is also a very nice big yard area. The house has enough rooms on the first floor to entertain family, and friends. If there are children, there are toys and games for them to play also. The house is clean and tidy. We also enjoyed having the air conditioning made it very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay there very much and have booked to stay again next year. Can’t wait.

We enjoyed our extended family (4 adults, 4 kids) visit here and the owner did her best to make us welcome and accommodate our needs. The property has plenty of outside space, fire pit, BBQ, parking space, and washing line. The porch is a lovely place to sit and watch the kids play and the world go by. Indoors there was a lot of charm, especially in the bedrooms. Lovely comfortable beds with fresh linens and quilts. Rooms were very hot and steamy and no air con, although there were fans. One bathroom for all to share with an extra washroom upstairs. Plenty of hot, hot water and masses of clean towels for home and the beach. TV, DVDs available, most cooking stuff you could need. Biggest issue we had was the poor quality cleaning that was done in advance of our arrival. Beds and towels clean which was great. Bathrooms and kitchen left a lot to be desired. It’s a shame because it spoiled our first couple of days but in the end we took it in our stride and had a great time in the Miscouche area.

This is a large house with 4 bedrooms and it has served as a base for many vacationing families to hang out together.
It is in a good location for exploring the central and western part of the Island.

What makes this property unique

Sitting on the deck of MacLean House is like sitting in the middle of a park. The view of the maple trees, flowering shrubs and flowers is lovely. If visitors are not out touring, they often sit on the deck for the entire day.

The house is a half-mile above Grand River and there are country lanes to walk, river beaches to explore, and warm water to wade or swim in.
