Charming Riverfront Home on the Comal - Downtown New Braunfels

I have tubed and swam in the Comal River since early childhood. We'd drive from San Antonio on the weekends as often as possible. I'd anticipate the long float in our inner tubes (back then they actually were car tire tubes!) with a picnic packed and put out at one of the tables in Prince Solms Park. We'd float by the beautiful homes with long grass yards and I'd be green with envy but happy to be able to enjoy Landa Park and the clear water. A dream was to one day be able to own a property on the Comal River. The Guadalupe River is a delight but was not even considered! The Comal River is only 2 miles long and spring fed. It is rare to find a private home for sale on it but finally we did. I have now introduce my husband to this piece of paradise and we are so happy to finally call it our home away from home. The best New Braunfels has to offer is here: the world famous water park, swimming, tubing, kayaking, fine dining, theatre, markets, and more antiquing than you can imagine. (I've imagined and this is it!) Even the prices are good. If you stay here I'll tell you which have the best deals and most unique finds.

It's the perfect location! You won't find a better location in New Braunfels! On the clear, clean, spring fed Comal River. In the heart of New Braunfels where you can walk outside to tube, kayak, swim, snorkle, fish or sunbathe. A large private yard with a big deck for outdoor eating. Walk or ride your bike to antiquing, the farmers market, restaurants, bars, the tube shoot and of course Schlitterbahn with is right across the street. There is live theatre, drive in theatre, fine dining and drive through burgers are here! The oldest bakery in Texas is a short walk away, the oldest dance hall in Texas is a 5 minute drive in Gruene with more fine restaurants and shopping. Don't forget to take a ride out to Wimberly (30 minutes) to take a look at Jacob's Well. The most amazing swimming hole around! Oh, and don't forget about the outlet mall in San Marcos. Only a 15-20 minute driving. You will have to go for at least two weeks to cover all the shops. From Gucci and Burberry to Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware. If you want it, it's there.
