Fun family reunion at the Lake Forest Lodge
We had a great time staying at this cabin! It fit all 20 of us perfectly. We had a great time playing games around the large table, playing pool, ping pong, foosball, watching movies on the large T.V. and relaxing in the hot tub. We cooked up hot dogs and hamburgers on the BBQ grill and made s'mores around the fire pit. The yard was nice for playing relay games and having a water balloon fight! We were really close to Cascade lake where we took our paddle boards and kayak. We really loved staying in this cabin! It's beautiful, in great condition and has everything you need!
Rakelle- What a fantastic review! It sounds like you really did have a great time. We hope to host your group again. Frost Cabins
Comfortable beds, great floor plan. We enjoyed our stay.
Hilary- I'm glad you enjoyed the home and your stay. Hope to host your group again. -Frost cabins
Family reunion site with a few concerns
We organized our first family reunion in many years and needed a nice big place that could handle 20 of us. This fit the bill fairly well with a couple of notable things.
It does sleep 20 but with 10 of the 20 being in a dorm-like bonus room over the garage (all sharing one small bathroom). If that’s what you need it’s great. Several of the adults in our party valued privacy more and relocated to a tent outside or to sleep on the back deck.
The kitchen was well equipped. There were two nice big washers and dryers which we appreciated. It’s on a calm quiet street with a bit of scenery out the back but a ways from the lake or McCall or the resorts. Ample parking for 5-6 cars.
The biggest disappointment was the jury rigged and inadequate WiFi. They have created multiple networks that aren’t the “official” one the sign in the kitchen points you to. We had troubles connecting more than 6-7 devices which was pretty inconvenient. Several calls to Frost management on the topic were ignored, blaming the local internet provider (which was not the real issue, the WiFi).
Because of this we would only recommend this place if you plan to unplug.
Oh, and we couldn’t find the TV remotes, and when we called they said, yea, they disappeared. We later found them in the flip up console in the sectional sofa.
A significant issue was that we had an Amazon delivery sent to the address, to arrive the day we did. For 3 days no sign of it though tracking said it was delivered. Finally 3 days in the maintenance man brought the item, open and unwrapped, no box and no paperwork. They should NOT be opening client packages. When we called the office about this they were completely unconcerned and just stated that’s how they do things.
On the good side, The place was clean, lots of hot water, good laundry and kitchen. We didn’t use the hot tub but it seemed ok.
There are a number of inaccuracies that I'd like to address in Ron's review. The listing describes the bedroom sleeping arrangements in detail. The bunk room sleeps 9 in beds, comfortably. We generally don't allow tent camping as we have sprinklers in the yard and this group turned off the sprinkler system for their entire stay, without asking. Internet is provided by Frontier. We have their latest DSL modem and the fastest speeds they provide. Granted, the cabin is in a rural setting and the speeds are not what you'd get in a suburban area. Nevertheless, you can stream movies on multiple devices simultaneously. Ron called and accused us that we were blocking him from having more than a certain number of devices connected at a time. I assured him that this was not something we limited and reminded him that he had rented a home in the mountains, where decent internet is provided, but outrageous speed was not available. Friday evening UPS delivered a number of packages to the office, which is quite typical. When I opened them on Monday, I noticed a folding camp chair and asked around the office as to who may have ordered it. No one knew anything about it, so I checked the packaging to make sure it didn't belong to a neighbor. A woman, with the same last name as Ron, had it delivered to our office without letting us know. When I went to personally deliver it and follow up on any concerns Ron had, he was absent, but his brother-in-law greeted me. I gave him the camp chair (still sealed in the clear plastic bag it came in) and let him know it had been delivered to our office. He wasn't sure why it was needed, but thanked me and asked if I'd help plunge a toilet, which I had no problem doing. While inside, I noticed a couple of gentlemen on laptops and asked them how the internet was and if they were having any issues. They said they weren't having problems, but were aware Ron had complained. They joined in with each other to agree Ron was a whiner and to not listen to him; they loved the place and were thoroughly enjoying their stay. I'd be happy to have Ron's family members back.

I had a lot of questions for Frost Mgmt prior to our stay and they always answered quickly.
The home was beautiful - we had a full house and you didn’t feel cramped once inside or out. The overall experience was great and we plan on going back.
Amdanda- We're glad you felt taken care of before and during your stay. We'd welcome you and your group back again. Thanks! Frost Cabins
