It’s not a picturesque cottage or a picturesque location but it’s very convenient, particularly if you’re using public transport. There’s no outside space but we were out enjoying the area the whole time anyway. A good family base for exploring with everything you need to feel comfortable. Fantastic cottage, very well equipped with good quality furnishing and even crockery and glassware great. Very central location in walking distance of so much . Felt like home from home . Spotlessly clean which even more important this year . Only difficulty was parking very tight and on a slope, our difficulty was having big vans parked either side of us making it stressful . Fantastic property in a really good location. Quiet yet in a bustling town with off street parking albeit on a difficult slope. The cottage was homely and furnished extremely well. The only thing that the cottage needs is a garden space for the kids to play outside in.... however this is fairly difficult to achieve. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommended. We spent a week at the School Knott Cottage with our two boys, and found it a perfect base for exploring the South-Eastern Lakes. Cottage's location in the centre of town is handy for walking to restaurants and shops. We also walked to Bowness (25min) a couple of times instead of driving. We brought a small car, which made using our allocated parking slot near the cottage easier to use. The cottage itself was very clean, well stocked and comfortable. We loved it.
