Penthouse ?.....No, Building site ?......Yes

The apartment was lovely, clean with good quality furnishings and in a great location. It's on the 2nd floor of a 4 storey building so, in our eyes, not a penthouse. The really big problem with this property is that it's in a building which is currently under redevelopment. The builders are in every day except Sunday from 7.30am until 6pm, and this involves drilling, hammering, scraping, screwing, sawing etc all day long, through the wall from you, above you, throughout the building. I believe we were the only occupied property, the workmen were amazed when they found out we were living there and said that they would be there for some time yet. We asked Sonia if we could be moved but were advised that it wasn't possible, and that she wasn't aware of the noise !!! There is no way we would have booked this apartment, no matter how nice it is, if we'd been told of the disruption. We have never written a negative review before, and we've hired from Sonia on 2 previous occasions, but we feel that anyone wishing to rent this property should be aware of the current situation. We wouldn't ever rent from Sonia again.

The accommodation was the best. Clean, convenient, comfortable. The three Cs we require. But it was so much more. Lovely. Comfy bed. Modern style. Highly recommend this place.

Two weeks in Lucca

This is a modern apartment with an elevator located in a great location. It is just off of Piazza Napoleone and next to a great pastry shop. One doesn't need (or want) a car as everything you might want is close by. The balcony is nice for a glass of wine or just relaxing after a day of touring. I recommend adding a handrail on the steps leading up to the elevator.

First Class in Lucca

Pretty much everything was BETTER than we expected. For our first visit to Lucca it was ideal and we will be back again soon. Minor things really, the shower was a little 'tired" and could do with re - sealing & freshening up to bring it unto the standard of the rest of the bathroom, and the toilet seat was "loose" and probably just needs tightening up.
