Beautiful apartment. High end everything. Bed was great, down duvets and a good selection of pillows.Kitchen was well equipped and appliances were all new.Location was in the middle of the city so walking to the sights was easy. Great restaurants and wonderful grocery stores nearby.Love this apartment.

Palace View Penthouse is a lovely apartment, perfectly situated in the heart of Lucca, within easy walking distance of the many wonderful attractions the city has to offer. We found the description and photos on VRBO accurately reflect the apartment and surroundings, and in fact fail to mention a few amenities we enjoyed. Our host, Cristina, of Lucca Apartments & Villas, was wonderful as well, greeting us at check-in, answering any questions we had, and providing suggestions or recommendations for activities, restaurants, and other services we asked about. She also occasionally checked in with us via email, if only to ask if there was anything she could do to improve our stay.We spent four of our 16 week European adventure in Lucca, and I’m quite sure we’ll return home saying those were the best four weeks of the trip.

Excellent location, perfect for a couple

The apartment is located in what seems to be the best location in Lucca. It is less than 10 minutes to the train station (just outside the city walls) and close to the stores and restaurants within the city walls. It is perfect for a couple. The kitchen is very functional (we had two guests over for dinner on night) and well equipped with cooking utensils. The shower is small (but something we got used to) and the bathroom is fully functional and modern. The washer/dryer is located in the bathroom. The dryer stopped working during our stay and was fixed the next day. The king size bed was very comfortable (nice and firm). We never used the air conditioning or heater, so we cannot rate them. There is plenty of light and cross ventilation. The city of Lucca is wonderful, and we are already talking about returning next year. Nothing major... maybe the kitchen knives could be a little sharper? We didn't ask, but I am almost certain they would have sharpened the knives if we asked.

Lovely stay

This is a lovely and comfortable apartment in the heart of Lucca. The kitchen was fully equipped to be able to prepare meals if desired. The bed was very comfortable. We were steps away from everything we needed, including groceries, coffee and amazing restaurants. The train station was a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment. Cristina was very helpful, even sharing her favorite restaurant recommendations. I can’t wait to return!

Lovely apartment

Perfect location and Christina was a great communicator both pre and at check in. Great kitchen, living area and bedroom. Balcony is not really useable - rusted old table, the dryer part of the washer dryer doesn’t work and the shower really needs some attention - shower head not properly attached - saw feedback on this from over a year ago which hasn’t been followed up on obviously.

Great Apartment, Great Location

This was a great apartment and loved the convenient location. The apartment was stylish, clean and just the right size for me. I plan on returning to Lucca and hope that I can rent this same apartment again.

The apartment is spacious and very clean!!! Most of all it is an EXCELLENT location, in the center of everything! The communication with the host was excellent and they were very responsive when our hairdryer went on the blink; We had a replacement in several hours. Great apartment and experience; hoping to come back some day😊

Two weeks in Lucca

This is a modern apartment with an elevator located in a great location. It is just off of Piazza Napoleone and next to a great pastry shop. One doesn't need (or want) a car as everything you might want is close by. The balcony is nice for a glass of wine or just relaxing after a day of touring. I recommend adding a handrail on the steps leading up to the elevator.

Lovely Lucca

The accommodation was the best. Clean, convenient, comfortable. The three Cs we require. But it was so much more. Lovely. Comfy bed. Modern style. Highly recommend this place.

Location. Interior. Building. Amazing. Change the name, it's not a penthouse, it's on the 2nd floor. And clean the corners of the shower, they were pink which indicates bacteria. Otherwise GREAT!

First Class in Lucca

Pretty much everything was BETTER than we expected. For our first visit to Lucca it was ideal and we will be back again soon. Minor things really, the shower was a little 'tired" and could do with re - sealing & freshening up to bring it unto the standard of the rest of the bathroom, and the toilet seat was "loose" and probably just needs tightening up.

Great location , nice and spacious with fab air con. Nice comfy bed and lots of storage. Good communication with Ciara. Nice secure apartment. Shower is in need of replacing also toilet roll holder/brush. The furniture on the balcony is a little tired.

Only Lucca!

We booked 8 nights while we visited family in Lucca and couldn’t be happier with the perfect location of the apartment. It was clean, very spacious and comfortable. We would definitely stay again!
