Explore the Short North Arts District
The Short North Arts District is one of the Midwest’s best kept secrets. There is a huge variety of unique shops, bars and restaurants, and art galleries along High Street and a number of annual events that take place year-round. We have a thorough list of recommendations in the house to local bakeries, cafes, and restaurants.
About the Neighborhood
This home is located in Weinland Park, part of the historic Short North area. It’s a cool, urban neighborhood with a mix of renovated homes and those still awaiting their makeover—reflecting the area’s ongoing growth and development. The neighborhood is home to both young professionals and families, and you’ll be within walking distance of High Street and North 4th Street coffee shops, restaurants, and bars.
Is the Neighborhood Safe?
We live nearby and feel comfortable here, but like any city neighborhood, it has its own energy. If you’re not used to city living, it may feel a little different at first. Petty crime can occur in the Short North and University districts, so we recommend the usual precautions: don’t leave valuables in your car, and when walking at night, stick to well-lit, busier streets like High Street, Summit, and 5th Avenue. We’ve never had issues at our apartments, but we like our guests to feel informed and confident during their stay.\
Near the following:
• Restaurants- The Table, Condados, Fox in the Snow, Basil
• Bars & breweries- Seventh & Son, North High Brewing, Brother Drakes
• Grocery stores- Kroger & Giant Eagle Market Fresh (Third Ave, Grandview)
• Fitness gyms- Cross Fit, Short North Fitness, Thank Yoga
Guest Access
You’ll have full access to your side of the duplex as well as the fenced backyard. Please note that the backyard and parking area are shared with the neighboring unit.

For your convenience, there’s a washer and dryer located in the unfinished basement (accessed through the kitchen/dining area).
Enjoy a cup of coffee on the front or back porch, or head into the shared fenced backyard, complete with a grill for outdoor cooking.
