Our elegant Victorian home is a former bed and breakfast located just 1.5 blocks north of the bustling Bentonville square. Our property is right in the middle of it all: within one-and-a-half blocks of excellent dining, shopping and weekly events on the historic Bentonville Square. Take in the Walmart 5-10 Visitor’s Center, Compton Gardens, and Lawrence Plaza Splash Park and Ice Rink. Explore Bentonville’s extensive system of paved and off-road bike trails or walk to the magnificent Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, only 3/4 of a mile down a beautifully landscaped art trail.

Built in 1891, our meticulously restored home features gorgeous woodwork, stained glass, stunning craftsmanship, with all the modern amenities you will need for a comfortable stay. As a former popular, boutique B&B, the house has three very spacious, comfortably appointed suites, each with its own private en-suite bathroom, private sitting room(s), luxury linens, and toiletries.

Our first-floor king suite features a grand, empire-style king bed, large en-suite bath with both shower and clawfoot soaking tub, washer and dryer, and private adjoining sitting room with a queen-sized sofa bed. Suite can comfortably sleep up to 4 people.

Across the hall is a beautiful queen suite, featuring an empire-style queen bed, small en-suite bath featuring spacious walk-in shower, private porch and adjoining private parlor that overlooks the corner yard and gazebo. Room comfortably sleeps up to 2 people.

On the second floor you’ll find our largest suite comprising the entire second floor of the house, featuring a spacious bedroom with a king-sized bed, a living room with dining and wetbar areas, an additional sitting room with a full-sized sofa bed, and an en-suite bathroom with both a shower and clawfoot soaking tub. This suite sleeps up to 3 or 4 people comfortably.

Guests will have access to the main house, including kitchen, dining room, additional sitting rooms, porches, fenced-in yard and driveway. Garage access not included.

Why Jenny Wallace chose Bentonville

We fell in love with Laughlin House the moment we stepped foot in the front door, and we decided then and there to buy it and turn it into a bed and breakfast. Although the B&B is now closed, the house is just begging for guests to enjoy all it has to offer. Not only is it a gorgeous, meticulously restored home dripping with period details and luxury furnishings, but it is smack-dab in the middle of everything one could possibly want to do in Bentonville. Laughlin House is just a block from the trail entrance to Crystal Bridges museum and the Razorback Greenway bike trail. It's only steps to Compton Gardens and Lawrence Plaza. It's only a block from the Bentonville Square, where we and our guests love to eat, drink, shop, people watch, play with dogs, visit with neighbors and generally hang out. No need to get in the car - just park and walk everywhere.

What makes this house unique

We love being able to park our car and walk. We love watching events (like races, festivals, etc.) from our porches. We love being in the middle of everything that's exciting in Bentonville, yet just far enough away that we can enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. And then there's the spectacular house itself. The finishes, the beauty, the care and attention that went into the restoration. It's easy to imagine what it was like to live here in the 1890s, but with all the modern conveniences of the 2010s.
