A staircase leads up to the stunning open plan kitchen/dining and living area. The solid oak kitchen is fully equipped and has an integrated fridge, built in oven and ceramic hob. The living area has a wood burning stove. There are seven south facing windows from which to enjoy the ever changing and forever memorable sea views across the Firth of Forth to Berwick Law, Isle of May and along the coast to Crail. Truly wonderful!

Cosy bolt hole
This property is in a beautiful location overlooking the Cellardyke tidal pool. It is a mile to walk into Anstruther. Very warm and cosy even on a cold and snowy night.

A bucket list trip
We so very much enjoyed our stay at this lovely pristine property. Ian and Janis are wonderful hosts and were most helpful. We so enjoyed the views of the ocean from the upstairs windows- quite a treat for prairie folks. We even braved a dip in the tidal pools down the road October 1! We would stay here again in a heartbeat if we are blessed enough to return to the area of Scotland in the future . Many, many thanks .

Great Place to Stay
We are return guests to the Cooperage. Usually stay at number 5 but number 4 is just as good. Although a little fiddly to get to down narrow streets it is well worth it. The panoramic sea view from the living/kitchen/dining room is fantastic. The property has everything you need, and it is only a short walk to Anstruther if you want to eat out. Only one thing missing is a charging point for shavers/electric toothbrushes, will bring an adaptor next time! Great location for golf courses which stretch all along the Fife coast.

Why they chose this property

Enjoy the breathtaking vistas from the upstairs open plan lounge/ diner in this wonderful conversion of an old Cooperage steeped in history dating back to 1877.
Have a memorable stay in part of what was once "Cormack's fish curing sheds and Cooperage"
The property also has guaranteed parking which is very unusual for sea front cottages in the picturesque East Neuk fishing villages.
