Beautiful holiday villa close to beach and town - perfect for a family get away to Sardinia

Beautiful holiday villa with all amenities, spacious rooms and a very nice pool. Easy to reach from Olbia airport and well located for trips to Costa Smeralda, La Maddalena, Cala Goloritze etc. Budoni beach is lovely and in walking distance, as is the town center with lots of shops and restaurants. Pasquale is a lovely and very responsive host and had great restaurant recommendations. We had a wonderful relaxed stay - highly recommend.

Enjoyable stay

We really enjoyed our stay at the villa. It was approximately a 10 minute walk to the beach which had a great pizzeria, and approximately a 25 minute walk into the beginning of the town. We would walk in and out most evenings. The town is a long strip with a road running down the middle. They close the road off at 8pm every evening so it the becomes pedestrian friendly. There are plenty of places to eat have a drink etc, but we would suggest you book in high season. They have market stalls and entertainment also. We also made use of the bbq with the patio in glorious evening sunshine. Unfortunately the filter on the bottom of the swimming pool was broken when we arrived and they were waiting for a part. The pool also seemed to only be cleaned once, and the villa wasn’t cleaned at all. Plus we had to request fresh towels. Pasquale and Michele who run the villas were very helpful and friendly, and made check in and departure very easy. Overall we thought it was a good base for our first visit to beautiful Sardinia.

Great villa and pool, car essential due to location.

Beautiful villa and fantastic pool, very quiet peaceful location and fairly well equipped for our stay. However the supermarket and restaurants were a good walk away which in 30+ degrees heat made shopping for provisions arduous as the road into Budoni was busy and the pavement narrow. I would have rated our stay five star except for the loss of our deposit caused by accidental breakage of one panel of the en-suite bathroom shower screen. It was not obvious which way the screen door opened and unfortunately my daughter pushed it instead of pulling it, resulting in the side panel of the screen shattering. I had a similar issue with the shower doorin the family bathroom, which I demonstrated to the owner’s sister. The language barrier made it difficult to communicate and I had no way of knowing if the estimate for an entire replacement shower screen was overpriced. Additionally although we had cleared all the glass up, when the remaining broken panel was knocked out, the workmen simply left all the glass all over the bathroom floor constituting a safety hazard and we had to sweep it up and tip it into the shower tray. The shower was unusable for the remainder of our stay. I would have thought that the owner of a holiday rental home should have some form of insurance cover. In addition I was given the option to pay for the damage by cash to but would not then receive a copy of the estimate for repair. It is with regret that I feel it necessary to note this unfavourable aspect of what otherwise would have been a lovely holiday, soured by this experience.

Accoglienza familiare, esempio di vera ospitalità e professionalità. La casa rispecchia perfettamente la descrizione e le foto pubblicate, si trova in una posizione tranquilla e ottimale per raggiungere a piedi la spiaggia di Budoni e in auto le altre meravigliose spiagge. Un ringraziamento particolare al signor Pasquale per la disponibilità e cortesia nei nostri confronti.

Fantastic villa. Clean, well equipped and comfortable.

Lovely villa and pool. Had some issues with the pool heating but were immediately resolved by the owners when contacted. Also got lots of great tips for local places to visit from the owners to. Would recommend and may visit again!

Excellent Villa & peaceful surroundings

We arrived at Villa Stige late on Tuesday 29th & were greeted by Pasquale & shown the Villa & how to operate everything, he also gave us some location recommendations & places to eat. He was very welcoming. The Villa itself is probably the best I've ever stayed in, exceptionally well decorated, plenty of space, secluded enough to relax & on a complex quiet enough to feel surrounded. The pool & sun bed area were spacious enough to spread out. The small town was 15 minute walking distance with a small selection of restaurants & a market each night. The beach was beautiful & you could walk a good few hundred yards out & it was still only waist deep. I would say you would need a car if you want to visit surrounding areas. For the few things we needed whilst in the villa Pasquale was always on hand to help or advise. The only downside was we had to come home! I will definitely be booking again. Amazing villa & everything we could have wished for.

Wonderful location-wonderful home-perfect holiday!

I do not know where to start in thanking Pasquale for his uncommon hospitality! We travel as a family quite often and I was impressed by his assistance, genuine care and help through out our stay. The house is spectacular as just built and complete with all the necessary details, appliances and comforts. The bedroom are spacious, the bathroom is quite big and the living rooms and outdoor spaces are perfect for outdoor dinners and lounge times! And then there is the heated pool!! Wow.... what a great luxury! We will surely come back! The location of the house is perfect as only a short walk to the beach, to the town and super markets and local shops/restaurants.

Absolutely beautiful villa

The property is immaculate and so spacious and we were impressed with how well it was kitted out. The pool is gorgeous, clean and warm. The small complex is very quiet and located close to the beach (a 7 ish minute walk to the beach). Pasquale was always on hand and incredibly helpful, able to recommend good places to eat at and visit. If you have young children a car is handy to get closer into town as it is a reasonable walk into town in the summer heat. The town closes off to cars from 8pm every night in the summer and there is a lovely market to wander along. We also drove to the far end of the beach and parked in the car park there which was an excellent area for snorkelling. The beach in Budoni is beautiful.....clear water and fine sand. You can walk out for ages and still be able to stand. It was very busy in August but we were told to expect that. This was our first experience of using Home Away and we were so pleased. We have recommended this villa to friends and we would love to go back again.
