We had a fantastic time at this villa. It's perched right on a beautiful white sandy beach, and the snorkeling is tremendous - a huge variety of fish, moray eels, stingrays etc. The villa itself is charming, with comfortable rooms and a well-equipped kitchen. There are a couple of quirks - drawers that don't open easily, for example - but that just adds to the fun. We were well looked after by the hosts, and every so often we would find a couple of coconuts on the veranda for us to open to get the coconut water out. That was a lovely touch. Finally, the dogs! There are three dogs who live next door and they like to visit. They're really friendly, and even come into the sea with you for a swim. All in all, we had a wonderful stay.

In short, it was wonderful. Begum and Charlize were always there for us. Charlize the housekeeper provided us with fresh coconuts every morning and the beach was freshly raked. The location is superb, centrally located for all activities and yet quiet and right on the water. Supermarkets and restaurants within easy reach. You can't hear the road at all but the wonderful sound of the sea. The house is clean, spacious and the kitchen is well equipped, just as described, all in all a wonderful stay, highly recommended. We would love to come back. I almost forgot: we were all in love with the wonderful dogs.

Paradise by the beach

This was one of the most unique holidays by family and I have ever been on. It was very peaceful and relaxing location, yet very close to the capital Victoria and to the airport. Throughout the day and night Begum and Charles were always there when needed. The garden and house were well maintained. Charles, the friendly guardian will do cleaning 3 times a week, would rake the sand in front of the villa at 7.00am every morning and brought us fresh coconuts every day ! They also had three dogs which made this stay unique. I would walk the dogs along the beach every morning, when they went fishing for fish at low tide, and the dogs would be on guard outside the villa at night. A truly memorable stay and we’ll be back soon

Amazing Beach Villa

This is exactly what we were dreaming about! Spacious villa just next to the beach where you can enjoy privacy. Kitchen is really well equipped. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Garage. And coconut palms everywhere! Absolutely recommended!!

On the beach

Staying by the beach was wonderful. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Very convenient position for airport and Victoria with our hire car. Local supermarkets near by.

This is just a lovely place. For us it was heaven on earth. It's quiet and the beach is on your fingertips. The dog's are friendly and like a pet every now and then.

A very nice house with everything need and wish for a great vacation in self catering. If you need support, you get it very fast. The beach in front of the house is perfect when you have little kids. Overall a great stay 👍

Nice Location at the beach

The house was beautifully located on the beach. It was right on the coastal road, so all destinations could be easily reached from here. The service was very good (a fresh coconut every day). Everything was very clean. We were greeted by the very lovely dogs. Since the weather was a bit changeable at times, we used the covered veranda and the beach loungers. Thanks for the stay at this wounderful place.

Vacation

Nice and quiet location. If you need something (e.g. coconuts), you can ask for Charlie, he takes care of you. We've enjoyed great days, also in the hammock with direct view on the turquoise ocean. We are happy to recommend the accommodation.

Very beautiful and peaceful place direct on the beach

Very nice and big house with 4 sleeping rooms. It was very clean, the kitchen has everything you need. Good WiFi…….But the best was the location direct on the beach. It’s also a very quiet place but we always felt safe because of the 4 dogs living there. Charles, a very nice guy who takes care of everything brought us everyday fresh coconuts and helped us with every problem we had. We stayed there for 1 week and had an amazing time. We will come back soon.

Lovely house by the sea

Well equipped, homey comfortable house with an incredible view of the sea. Outside patio is perfect for watching sunrises. Property owners were wonderful in making sure all our needs were being met throughout our stay. They were warm, kind & continually reached out to us.The property's groundskeeper and assistant Charles made himself available anytime we needed something and was exceptionally helpful with daily maintenance & needs no matter how small. Truly a memorable experience!

10-day Beach Villa stay

Begum and Charles as well as the three dogs made this stay unique.As the dogs accompanied us throughout the day and night Begum and Charles were always there when needed.They both helped whenever they could. Both of them are very kind hearted and generous. The house is located at a beautiful beach. It looks just like the pictures! The villa is very spacey and well equipped. It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious living and kitchen area. The beds were very comfortable!I am pretty sure that this villa was a true gem 10 years ago, but in our opinion it needs some renovation work to make it shine again.All in all we loved the stay! The hospitality that Begum and Charles provided is rare to find. Even though we might criticize the condition of the villa a bit, we still highly recommend a stay!Thank you for everything :)

Great Beach Villa

We loved this great Beach Villa, which is only a few meters to the ozean !!! It’s a huge house with 3 bedrooms and their own beach. The owner is very kind and Charles, he is the keeper of that area, is really a friendly and very helpful person ! The terrace is huge and there are a few dogs on area and all of them are so cute. The owners provided a typical „starter kit“, which is absolute perfect!!! The bathrooms need maybe a kind of renovation, but this is not so important… we will come back

a beautiful week on the beach

Accommodation corresponds to description and photos. We spent nice days here and appreciated mainly that the house is right on the beach, coastal communication is beyond. The sea here is shallow, quiet and really very warm. Excellent, for example, for families with children. Shops are nearby. At the time of our stay we did not find an open restaurant nearby. The house has a well-equipped kitchen, and we often have fresh fish and ate on the terrace overlooking the sea. We also thank the manager who lives in close proximity for his services and friendly approach. He prepared an excellent fish for dinner one evening! He helped us with renting a car even with a taxi to the airport. Thank you for a nice and hassle-free stay.

Amazing accomodation, litteraly on a beautiful beach with cristal blue water full of fish to do snorkeling. Garden and house are gorgeous and well maintained. Charles, the friendly guardian will do cleaning 3 times a week, raking the sand, drop some fresh coconuts for you, even cook the best fish of your life if you are nice with him. Becca the owner will go with you buy fish to the neighbor fisherman, she even had the kindness to come to a clinic with us after a small personal issue. Joel, Becca's husband is a really nice and important man on the island, both are working for the environment. Forget the big resorts, you won't find any better standing of service and accomodation you got here, real life ! Thank you so much...

Great escape right at the beach

You get what you see - and it's just great! In addition you have a great host. They are reliable, good communicators and very nice.We were there with our small three children and the beach is just perfect for this. It's not the most luxurious house, but I think this is not the intention - and reflected in the price.We might come back: It's the perfect spot to wake up right next to the beach, it seemed not the most touristic area and perfect as a base to break out to day-trips on the island. Few recommendations to my future self:- you definitely need a car. My google research implied one could get the daily groceries by foot - but that's not the case. The road is dangerous to walk at. Just get a car and you'll be happy- Charles is great. The daily coconuts just make this truly a holiday!- There is a road right next to the beach/house. You get used to it. Not the end of the world, but worth mentioning.- Don't go there, if you are looking for a swimming holiday. The water is (usally, depending on the tide) not deep enough. But as I menionted, it was has merits for children.

Relaxing vacation in a tropical surrounding

Alltogether we have spent wonderful two weeks at L'Escapade. Charles was always around and very helpful and especially he "served" fresh coconut several times! :) Begum also helped us every time we had a question. Also Joel was very friendly, even if he is handicapped with walking, we hope that it will improve and he gets better and better. The slight negative points were the unsuccessful communication regarding the postponing of our vacation by one day, which resulted in an additional hotel booking and that snorkeling was not nice directly in front of the villa. But we found a spot nearby at Anse Royale ca. 3 km away. We can also highly recommend Stevens BBQ "Restaurant". We had a grilled Barracuda with Prawns, Vegetables and Wine directly at the beach with feet in the sand at Anse Forbans - incredible. Another insider tip is the Restaurant Le Reduit in Takamaka, a little bit away from the main street but signposted with yummy creole food.

Quiet beautiful safe house to spend a relaxing holiday

I had great communication with the owners who even contacted us in the UK before we left to confirm everything was ok our end and they arranged for a taxi to meet us at the airport. The property is right on the beach which although is public (like all the beaches in the Seychelles) we only saw a couple of tourists going for a run so it feels very private. It is very safe and Charles who lives next door occasionally popped in to see we were ok. The owners also live in the next property but don’t intrude on your privacy. The locals in the area are very friendly and there are several good restaurants from cheap to more expensive within a short walk away. The house is fully equipped with everything you need. WiFi and 4G can be a problem in the Seychelles if you come from the UK because our phones have strong security settings so don’t rely on getting it at the house or in a lot of locations on the Island. To me this was a bonus because I could switch off and enjoy the scenery but if you are heavily dependent on your phone you could feel too cut off.

Great Location, comfortable house!

We really enjoyed our stay at L'Escapade! The house was quaint and Moderately rustic. It felt like we were in a nice cabin in the woods, but with beach access. We compared prices all around the island and this was the best deal for the quality of the house. If you are looking for a quite, beach get-away this house if perfect. The beach is nice and the caretaker comes by in the morning to rake the seaweed away that has accumulated from the high tide. The water is shallow and warm for a ways out. Even though the other side of the beach has more pristine beaches, you are surrounded with a lot of tourists and the prices are almost double the cost of L'Escapade. If you stay at this location, I recommend renting a car so that you can explore the island and go out to eat or get to the grocery store. When we arrived the house was immaculate. The care takers are instructed to come every 2 days to clean. The house provides 2 towels a person. If you want an extra towel or a larger beach towel I suggest you bring one of your own along. The only thing that I can say that was sightly bothersome is the wife of the care taker was around a lot and was very curious about us and where we are from etc. Not so much of a big deal, but when you are looking for solitude - having daily conversations about what you are doing got to be cumbersome. With all of that said- she is a very nice lady. There are dogs on the property. They were well-behaved for the most part and very friendly. I would definitely choose this location for the price and comfort again if I ever decide to return to the Seychelles.

Awesome ! Wonderful holiday

Starting with the very friendly welcome by the owner and the other "good soul" of the property (Charlie), we were delighted with the spaciousness of the house and rooms. Everything we needed was there. The location of the house directly on the sea is fantastic - it doesn't get any better than this. It was fantastic to walk directly from the deck chair into the warm water. The tide is out, so baths that make snorkelling possible are only available in the morning or late afternoon. However, as there are many other beaches on Mahè that invite snorkelling, this was not a problem for us. So we saw the ocean right in front of the door as our very big bathtub :-) There are 5 dogs on the property, but they are very trusting and lovable and made us feel safe. I will miss the dogs very much, especially "Sheba". My special thanks also go to Charlie, who was always very hard-working and thoroughly cleaned our entire house every 2 days, thus also ensuring a well-kept ambience on the property. He was always there to help and advise. I can only recommend a stay at Beachvilla Escapade! There is no better way to relax if you value individuality and do not favour hotels. The only negative point of criticism is the traffic on Mahè - the drivers seem very inconsiderate and impatient. In the dark, special care was needed, because there are hardly any pavements and people walk on the street and especially on bends, which are plentiful, you often only see the passers-by at the last moment. This was very exhausting and put the recreational value into perspective somewhat. I also find the bus drivers almost dangerous. But Beachvilla Escapade can't do anything about that, so this should not be included in my overall rating of the accommodation. Those who like daredevil driving or rent a very stable rental car may see this differently. In any case, I would go on holiday at Beachvilla Escapade again! Thank you Begum, thank you Charlie.

Hallo, hier eine 5 Sternebewertung für diesen besonderen Ort.Wir hatten einen rundum wundervollen Aufenthalt in diesem Ferienhaus. Das Haus war wie beschrieben und bestens ausgestattet. Wir haben uns direkt wohlgefühlt.Die Lage ist ruhig und ideal zum entspannen. Die Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin war unkompliziert und herzlich. Charles, der gute Geist, hat uns mit vielen leckeren Kokosnüssen und Mangos versorgt.Wir haben uns außerordentlich wohl gefühlt und kommen sicher wieder Liebe Grüße Carsten und Eike
