8 people could spread out and have space. Nice meeting area and balcony. Steps are tight and steep so need to have good mobility. Nice cafes very close. A/C very good.

We're delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay with us.
Thank you so much for your 5-star review!
Warm regards,
Ana
We loved our stay here. There were eight of us (four couples), so we appreciated the size and number of bathrooms. We fell in love with the Alfama neighborhood - it's not the "city center," so you do a bit more walking to get places, but we loved the location. We had no trouble getting to other parts of the city. Host was responsive, and the listing was as-advertised. Would absolutely stay again.

About the host
Hosted by Ana Nunes
Hi, I’m Ana! I have a deep love for Lisbon and a passion for painting. Together with my sister, Sónia, we transform accommodations into spaces rich in history and tradition, that tell visitors stories of our country. We love working with recycled antique furniture and Portuguese handicrafts, and we're especially passionate about incorporating artwork and thoughtful details. The result? Spaces that inspire the mind and nourish the soul.
Why they chose this property
Alfama is one of Lisbon’s most picturesque and authentic neighbourhoods, known for its traditional fado houses, narrow streets and beautiful viewpoints.
Having survived the 1755 earthquake, the district has preserved much of its historic character. Its winding lanes, small squares, churches, tiled façades and flower-filled balconies create the atmosphere of a village within the city.
Alfama is best explored on foot and is especially rewarding for photographers and visitors who want to experience traditional Lisbon.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR JUNE: Alfama is at the heart of Lisbon’s famous June festivities. Throughout the month, traditional street parties known as “arraiais” fill the neighbourhood with music, dancing, drinks and grilled sardines. The atmosphere is lively and unforgettable, but it can also be noisy. Guests looking for peace and quiet during June may prefer another neighbourhood. For those who want to be at the centre of the festivities, there is no better place.
What makes this property unique
Set in Lisbon’s historic and picturesque Alfama neighbourhood, the property accommodates up to 12 guests and offers an exceptionally spacious private rooftop with breathtaking views over the Tagus River and the area’s iconic tiled rooftops.
Its central location places many of Lisbon’s best-known monuments, traditional restaurants and fado houses within easy walking distance.
Inside, ornate ceilings, golden details, Portuguese tiles, vintage furniture, crystal chandeliers and original art create a distinctive atmosphere. Bathed in natural light, the generous interiors offer comfort, character and plenty of space for families and groups.
Restoring historic homes is our passion. Inspired by Portugal’s history, traditions, art, music and cultural heritage, we personally select the furniture, paintings and decorative details that give each space its own identity.
This combination of history, creativity and personal care is the essence of what we call the “Portuguese Soul.”
