Apartment Ellie is a favorite among large groups or those wanting a little bit more space & privacy.

120sq m duplex penthouse Ellie, has high ceilings & the added advantage of being the largest of all the properties we offer. The 2 downstairs bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning. Upstairs, there's a large unit positioned outside the bedrooms, and an additional 4th unit is located in the main living area. Ellie is a very comfortable duplex apartment with 4 bedrooms 3 full bathrooms.

There are 4 large air con units in total, fridge freezer, free wifi and parking. The beach is 250 meters away.

We offer a number of properties on Ciovo, 250 meters from the sea. Our management meet and greet you on arrival. We can offer transfers from the airport and can arrange tours in the area (with collection and drop off to the apartments - no need for you to arrange at tourist office). We love to help our guests plan memorable holidays and have been doing so since 2003, get in touch today.

This front facing penthouse has an absolutely amazing view which you can enjoy from the dining and living area.

A welcome pack is provided for guests to grasp an understanding of the surrounding area. Also there is an extensive collection of music to use throughout your stay. We provide a free PDF of the Lonely Planet guidebook with every booking.

You are in walking distance of pretty much everything you could think of. You are a few minutes from restaurants, the market, the beach, taxi services etc.

We loved the location with an easy walk to the beach and great view of the sea from the deck, where we enjoyed meals and wine! Two bathrooms and two bedrooms on the first floor were super convenient with an easy to use kitchen, stocked with all you need for prep, cooking, and eating. Bonuses…hairdryer, washer/dryer combo, extra blankets and pillows. Nice open living room and dining room. We had a great time staying at apartment Ellie, and we would gladly stay here again.Oh, and a quick drive into Trogir for dining, open air market, grocery store, walking along the waterway, and exploring the castle.

Schöner Urlaub

Die Wohnung war wirklich groß, sodass wir genug Platz hatten. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet, es hat uns nichts gefehlt. Es gaben 2 Klimaanlagen am Flur, sodass die Tür vom Schlafzimmer offen sein musste, damit es kühl bleibt. Der Weg zum Strand ca 5min zu Fuß, auch mit kleinen Kinder kein Problem. Strand schön und sauber, mehrere Restaurants direkt in der Nähe. Genug Parkplätze vorm Haus. Der einzige Nachteil war der ganz kleine Balkon, wo man gar nicht sitzen konnte, weil einem die heiße Luft von der Klimaanlage direkt ins Gesicht bläßt. Insgesamt waren wir zufrieden.

Unsere 10 Tage in Okrug Gornji (August 2022)

Die Wohnung war sehr sauber. Gut war die Klimaanlage, da die Wohnung ganz oben unter dem Dach liegt. Wir bekamen bei unserem Aufenthalt noch zwei zusätzliche Ventilatoren. Die Wohnung hat jetzt nicht den modernsten Standard, aber man hatte alles was man braucht. Die Kaffeemaschine hatte scheinbar etwas gegen uns, aber die Bialetti tat es dann auch. 😅 Ich empfehle jedoch Trinkwasser zum „Kaffeekochen“ zu nutzen, da das Wasser aus dem Hahn doch etwas nach Chlor schmeckt. Die Wohnung lag im 4. Stock, was unserer Fitness ziemlich zuträglich war, jedoch sollte hier erwähnt werden, dass es keinen Fahrstuhl gibt. Alles Nötige (Strand, Supermarkt, Arzt, Apotheke, Restaurants) sind fussläufig zu erreichen. Es fährt auch ein Wassertaxi in die nächste Stadt (Trogir) und zurück. Allerdings hat es sich abends oft schwierig gestaltet wieder zurück zu kommen, daher haben uns dann für die nötige Mobilität einen Leihwagen gemietet um etwas flexibler von der Insel und auch wieder zurück zu kommen. Man befindet sich schon recht weit hinten auf der Insel. Alles in allem war es ein angenehmer Aufenthalt.

Perfect family space

With 8 people ranging from 8 to 78, this space was great for us with 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The only challenge for the older ones was the stairs but we managed. Lovely balcony and living space, very well stocked kitchen and many amenities nearby. The view (especially the sunset) from the balcony topped off a great week-long stay.

War alles gut...

Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Kaffeemaschine sollte ersetzt werden. Gasherd hat bei uns leider nicht funktioniert, man sollte danach gucken. Die Wohnung ist sehr groß, für 8 Personen ausreichend. Sauberkeit war perfekt.

Centrally located home perfect for families

The location of this apartment is well situated and just perfect for families. A small beach with some restaurants is several minutes walk away and many other beaches, restaurants, even ferries to the old town within a 10-15 minute walk. We didn't even feel the need to have a car and we had a stroller getting to these other beaches. It was quite hot during our stay so we were thankful for the air conditioning in the apartment and very grateful for the extra fans that were sourced for us so we could close bedroom doors at night and just have the fans on. The windows all have blockout shutters to keep the apartment cool during the heat of the day too. A perfect choice for us and we'd not hesitate to recommend it to others. Many thanks for the stay.

Perfect

Great apartment in a perfect location close to all amenities. It's situated only a short stroll from a strip of beautiful beech bears, restaurants and a taxi boat to the ancient town of Trogir. For anyone who likes walking I would strongly recommend visiting Duga Dango and Kaktus Bar for as the walks and bathing areas are beautiful. Apartment Ellie was perfect for our stay, we are 2 families so we enjoyed large space downstairs with all the games the host provided. The bedrooms are on separate floors which allows privacy and quietness with black out blinds for late sleepers like us! The apartment is well equipped for those who like to cook in and enjoy the beautiful sunsets from the balcony. We had a fantastic holiday!!!

Great spot to enjoy Trigor

Fantastic stay-well set up for larger groups. Great location with easy access to the water taxi etc. Nice condo-well appointed and lots of room.

Close to the beach and Trogir

The location is perfect as per location with a very large parking which makes it a big plus if you have one or two cars. The apartment has a great view. It can accommodate 6 people comfortably since there are 3 bathrooms with showers. However, the 2 AC units did not do the job since it was very (very) hot the 4 nights we were there. Also, there were small issues that should be corrected : leak in one of the bathroom, broken shower head in the other and curtain in the terrace. However, overall, it was a very nice place !

Great apartment in fantastic location

The apartment was a great size for my family of six and perfectly located for a fantastic holiday. We did not have a car and discovered several lovely quiet coves in Okrug Gornji within short walking distance from the apartment. All the amenities were just as described by the owner and the local beaches are clean and fantastic for swimming and snorkelling. We took a day's excursion by boat to a couple of nearly islands and swam in the blue lagoon which was fantastic. The weather in August was hot and sunny every day (just what we wanted!) and we really appreciated the air conditioning in the apartment. We found the local fruit and veg stalls and the nearby bakery to be great value and everything we needed was within a short walking distance. Trogir is beautiful and the water taxi service from Okrug was a fun part of the holiday. This was our first visit to Croatia and we will treasure our memories of this beautiful part of the world.

Apartment Ellie

Ideal apartment and location for doing all kinds of activities in the area. A short walk to the beach and then access to the marina with lost of bars and restaurants. Plenty of places to set up camp on the beach for the day and very good ferry service to Trogir. The apartment is excellent and the manager Dave was very helpful and gave us lots of advice. Would certainly recommend it and we will be planning another trip next year!

Fantastic 4 bedroom property in excellent location

A wonderful holiday in a beautiful part of the world! We rented a couple of Alison's apartments We stayed in Nina, Anna, Christina and Paulina as all the family wanted to experience what this part of the world offered. Overall Croatia is a wonderful place and a place we will return too. All the family enjoyed the trip - there is so much to see and do. We loved Apartment Nina, it is very spacious and we especially how quiet the area and apartment were. We experienced as much of Croatia that we could in the week we were there. Alison advised us to see Krka park and it did not disappoint, we stayed as long as we could there, it was so peaceful and being surrounded by it's natural beauty was nothing short of breathtaking. The weather was very good and we had everything we needed in the apartment for a truly wonderful stay. We loved it and are planning a return trip later this year. Thanks Alison

Spacious Apartment with fab view - great location

Alison was always prompt to reply to any queries we had and even helped us plan some of our trip on each stay. She arranged a pick up from the airport for us with an excellent taxi firm, who we then used for a travelling further a field. The apartment has all you need for an enjoyable stay, fully equipped kitchen, stocked with spices, spacious bedrooms and a comfy living area. We had our breakfast every morning before heading off for an adventure on the balcony overlooking the Adriatic sea. Alison and her team have left books, CD's and DVD's to use as well as a ton of games - these were a lifesaver on the one rainy day we had. The kids were happy. The wifi was excellent. Thanks again for a great stay - we know we'll return!

Great Spacious Place, Location Excellent

We rented two of Alison's apartments - Paulina and Ellie as we had a family celebration. The apartments we really clean, well equipped and being next door to each other meant we had our privacy as well as the convenience of being close by for dinners etc. Alison was great and booked us a restaurant in Trogir for my Mam's 60th. We ate in TRS and it was the perfect place for it, the courtyard is surrounded by grape vines and beautiful decor. The apartment is in an excellent location and it's walking distance to all amenities. The beach is about a 3 minute walk. We will most likely return and would recommend this place (area and apartments) to others. Thanks for a great stay.

Best Location, Excellent Location

Great holiday, brilliant location, well equipped apartment and an easy booking... We love Ciovo and have stayed on the island on many occasions. It's always sunny and the Croatian culture is friendly and welcome..

A beautiful apartment with stunning views

Apartment Ellie is clean, spacious and well positioned to explore the local area. We were greeted by David from the management team who was extremely helpful all week. We visited Split by boat and walked to Trogir. Less able walkers may need a taxi as there are a couple of hills. There is a local supermarket in Okruj which has many staple goods. Unfortunately there weren't many restaurants open at the end of October as the season has pretty much ended. The beach cafe's are good value and a 5 minute walk downhill. I would definitely recommend this apartment

Veldig bra lokaliasjon!!!

Familievennlig! Leiligheten lå på et sted av stranda m kort vei til gode servingingsteder, kjempefin, rolig strand og med en brygge m ferge til Trogir hver time. Kort vei til butikk. FANTATISK utsikt fra verandaen! Ikke oppvaskmakin, liten stekepanne. 4 etage. Helpfull service-guy. We loved our stay!!!

Beautiful

Beautiful, spacious two storey apartment. We stayed here for a week, it'S a gorgeous place to stay as a family and with friends, we enjoyed the stunning views each morning and night. We cooked meals here a few nights and ate out a few nights. It is so close to all amenities, in walking distance. It was our first time here and we'll be definitely back.

Trip of A Lifetime

Six of us arrived at the booked apartment block and our first pleasant surprise was a free upgrade to a four bedroom apartment (instead of 2 bedroom booked). The reception was first class and this was hardly a surprise as our dealings with Alison (Apartment owner/manager) had been exactly that, too. The first couple of days were spent finding our feet, which was made so easy because of the information provided by Alison in advance (geography, places to visit, restaurants etc.). The weather was super and we spent a lot of time relaxing on the beautiful local beach., but we also got around to some trips as well. We took on speed boat trip to visit some of the islands. Swimming from the boat to the beach is one of my favourite memories of the whole trip. We took the boat taxi from the main beach (5 to 10 minutes’ walk from apartment) to Trogir. What a treat this was. We spent one evening trying to decide which of the magnificent yachts on the main Trogir promenade we would like to buy (celebrities like Schumacher have docked here frequently). After that bit of self-delusion, we took to one of the restaurants recommended by Alison (Top Balloon) and we fully endorse her advice. For local eating, we would recommend Leonardo’s on the main beach, super food and super service. The apartment was everything expected and more, plus two extra bedrooms was the cream on top of the icing on the cake. We would recommend this place, as well as Alison and her team. I am sure we will be returning. If you go there you will surely have a great holiday! Anne G.

Family fun

My 3rd year back! Ellie is such an impressive apartment with a large spacious living area, double height ceilings and socially positioned furniture. All of Alison's apartments have been well stocked with extras such as dried herbs, board games and classic DVD’s and CD’s. We made good use of the games at night and felt I was revisiting my childhood holidays! Although there were 8 of us in the apartment, there was plenty of space to sit around the table and sofa area and 3 bathrooms allowed us to quickly get ready for our adventures. We sat on the sheltered balcony with wine and good food one night and enjoyed a spectacular thunderstorm! This year was my first time to be on Ciovo and not rent a car. All the necessities are close by so I enjoyed strolling everywhere. We visited the local beach at Okrug most days and the children enjoyed the water games at the beach bars. We walked 2km to the spectacular Duga Bay and visited a hidden bay behind the apartments that only local people seem to use. We visited Trogir a lot and bought some snorkelling masks in the market for Duga where we fed stale bread to the fish. I’m in love with Trogir, it’s like stepping back in time and the taxi boat makes the trip very easy. There's loads of places to eat, drink, shop and photograph. We travelled by boat from Trogir to Split city for a day where we visited Diocletians Palace. Split is like a larger Trogir with a new town attached. I would recommend a visit as it has it’s own magic to it. Overall, everyone had a great holiday and the other couples that I invited along intend on returning when possible. For me, it was wonderful to see their reactions to the local beaches, bars and restaurants. The area is not commercial, although well equipped for tourists, and this is what gives it the charm. Everywhere you go (including the beaches) have small restaurants / bars so you can go out for the whole day and have the convenience of a quick lunch or beer. The short walk to the beach and restaurants is lined with mandarin, pomegranate, passion fruit, kiwi, grape, fig and olive trees. Sitting in Leonardo’s under grape vines while looking out at the boats and sipping on local wine after a day on the beach and beautiful food is my idea of a perfect holiday!

Ciovo - We'll be back soon...

This was a large, airy and well equipped apartment just a few minutes stroll from a fairly quiet gravel beach. The apartment was spotlessly clean and we were welcomed warmly on arrival. We had a wonderful week.here, We ate out each evening - there was a good choice of local restaurants but on four nights we took the water taxi to Trogir. Trogir was lovely - a maze of tiny streets filled with cafes and restaurants and great ice cream shops! I highly recommend booking a sea kayaking trip with Falco tours based in Trogir (find them on the inteernet or ask at Tourist office). We had a full day trip kayaking 7 km to a nearby island and back. The kayaks and other equipment were very good, our guides were highly experienced and all necessary safety equipment was provided. I would recommend this apartment if you want a peaceful holiday in a pleasant resort surrounded by other similar-minded holidaymakers. Although there were plenty of lively bars (if you wanted them) there was no evidence of drunkeness or bad behaviour. This is a great choice if you do not want to hire a car as it is only a 20 minute taxi ride from Split airport and the water taxi to Trogir runs every 30 minutes and is cheap.

A holiday to remember....5 STAR!..

Alison, we would like to thank you for such an amazing holiday. Everything was so well organised and the apt was more than expected. The apt is furnished to such a high spec and is so spacious. The 4 bed apt was more than adequate for the whole family. The location was perfect, after breakfast we would walk down to the beach and because the apt was so close to the beach everyone had the freedom to come and go as they pleased. During the afternoon we would eat in one of the many restaurants along the seafront which was very reasonable and had a wide choice for all. Some nights we went into Trogir, if you like people watching this is a place to go, the place is buzzing and there are beautiful yachts when you walk into the town. The town has amazing restaurants set inside narrow streets full of character. Staying in Ciova gave us alot of flexibility as the apt is only 20 mins from the airport and about 20mins to the port where you can travel to other islands around croatia. We traveled to Hvar. I would recommend Ciova for anyone who is seeking a quiet unspoilt location which gives the flexibility and option to travel around, suitable for all ages, families and friends. Excellent Property and Location

Apartment Ellie was excellent; modern, well equipped and clean! Trogir is a beautiful town and we spent some evenings there. It has a huge number of restaurants and we tried a few of the ones that were listed in the “guide” in the apartment. They were all excellent. Transport to Trogir is either by taxi (5-0 minutes, 100 Kuna) or by boat (25 minutes, 15 Kuna/person). We also had a few lunches and dinners at Konoba Rarita (recently renamed from Konoba Korniza) which is located a few minutes walk from the apartment. They served excellent food and provided good service. Highly recommended! And Leonardos was the best restaurant. Sr Dela was great too... We rented a car for a few days and visited Split (old town), Omis and Krka waterfalls. Krka Waterfalls was a fantastic place and should be considered as a must for everybody to visit. Croatia, Ciovo, and Penthouse Rentals Croatia are excellent choices for a relaxing summer holiday! Thanks!

Ciovo:Great Place, Great Holiday

Great apartment; on arrival we found everything exactly as promised on the booking site. We were here before so we knew our way around and we had an even better holiday than the last time (didn't think that was POSSIBLE). The locals are very friendly, the value is excellent (shops, restaurants etc.) and the place is great (also, Trogir, a 2400 year old heritage site is only a 10 minute taxi boat ride away from main Ciovo beach and not to be missed). We highly recommend the place and the organisers/managers and we'll be back again.

Location location location and of course the view

We stayed at Alison's gorgeous apartment in august. It was spacious, clean and had everything we needed for the 10 days we were there. The location and view were the two main reason we picked this property and they did not disappoint. We loved the area especially medieval Trogir. The local restaurants are superb and the recommendations Alison gave were spot on. Leonardos down the road and Sr Dela were really tasty. 10 days is just not enough so we are going again early year. Thanks for a great stay.
