You arrived upset as the 3rd member of your party was too ill to travel and that your husband was ill too, but he still travelled with you,. You told me you were leaving early as your husband was still rather ill. You way you told me I am under the impression he was in bed the 5 days you were there. You were disappointed that the garden fence was not higher - however the height is very clear in the main photo on the booking site. The property had nothing to do with your low, frustrated mood.
Maybe you were bored and looking to find fault where there was none?
Unless a guest I.e. you, informs me that a toilet seat is loose, I am unable to fix it. The toilets are thoroughly cleaned - I am amazed at your opinion that they are not. They are not stained! Dust on the floor??? There was not.
The property is not excessively priced. Beadnell renting market is not cheap. If you want more for your money (not sure what, as this is a very substantial property for 3 guests), I would suggest you look somewhere other than Beadnell.
I am pleased that you say you will not be returning, as this avoids the problem of me having to refuse your booking.
The bungalow was only superficially clean. It was spacious and comfortable but could do with some TLC and a deep clean in the master bedroom. The heating had all been turned off and needed to be reset at each radiator. The access road is very bad and full of large potholes. Great location for the beach and surrounding area.

Hi Mr Smith,
Thank you for your review. The sandy lane you travel down (approx 200 meters) to reach the cottage is very old - it is one of the original lanes in Beadnell. I agree it is not the smoothest but nothing which would spoil your stay. This is something I have no control over.
I don’t agree with you that the property needs a deep clean, or that it is superficially clean. Cleaners go in every Friday and spend 4 hours cleaning. We deep clean at the beginning and the end of the season. This is the same as all rental properties in the area.
With regards to the heating: the full length of the back of the property is full length windows that are south facing. We find that this can heat the property very quickly, therefore at the beginning of May I think it is fair to let the guests decide on the radiators.
I hope that this addresses your issues and that you still enjoyed your stay.

What an amazing location, just by the dunes with direct access on to the beach. And what a fantastic beach it is to explore as well as the harbour and lime kilns.
The house is very well equipped, clean and large. We had a fabulous time with our nearly 2 year old ‐ our first proper family holiday thanks to Covid. We were a little nervous but it was great and we relaxed so much.
The access road was quite hard to find and not in the best state (just earth and gravel with lots of holes and very large puddles /flooding when it rains).
We stayed for 2 weeks here, we loved Beadnell and the cottage. Week two was fantastic as the sun shone and we spent it on the beach, over the dunes. Lots to do and a great location.
A lovely and well looked after property, it has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with equipment and felt like home. A fantastic location, very close to the beach and only a 15 minute walk from Beadnell village. The property manager was easily contactable and great to deal with. Already looking forward to our next trip back!
