Montcabirol is set in a little piece of paradise within its very own hamlet
Dating back several centuries, our luxury gîtes are set in beautiful, secluded gardens around a large enclosed swimming pool, providing the perfect setting for couples, families or large group holidays.
Malepère is a lovely, spacious one bedroom apartment. Access is via a small flight of exterior stairs which lead to a bright, open plan living space with a modern, fully equipped kitchen. The lounge area has a comfortable sofa with cable television (French) and DVD player. Just off the lounge you will find a balcony with views over the gardens, swimming pool and distant Pyrenees - the perfect place to relax.
Malepère has one generous size double bedroom up a small flight of stairs.
Please note that this gite does not have a BBQ on the balcony but has access to BBQ area located in the garden.
Easy access to Carcassonne and Toulouse
Gîtes de Montcabirol is handily located a few minutes by car from Mirepoix. This lively, colourful town is truly enchanting with its central square surrounded by medieval houses, covered walkways, weekly market, numerous shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. Mirepoix also provides easy access to Foix, Pamiers, the Pyrénées and the fast roads to Carcassonne, Toulouse and the Mediterranean resorts of Narbonne and Beziers.
A great base to visit top attractions and be active
You can choose to do as little or as much when you stay at Montcabirol. Whether you want to start exploring straight away or simply sit by the pool, unwind and take in the beautiful views, you won’t be disappointed.

Renovating and launching Gites de Montcabirol, our four holiday rentals was challenging at times, but it’s incredibly rewarding as it allows us to meet people from around the world and show off this amazing part of France.

Set in its very only hamlet, sit our four individual properties each with their own private terrace. Surrounded by gardens and orchard, our large swimming pool is the perfect location to relax and unwind. We’re located in the heart of the Cathar region so there’s plenty to see and do for every age group.
