A brand new all season cottage with a private beach just a short drive from the Grand Bend strip.

Enjoy 3 comfortable bedrooms, a spacious and luxurious bathroom and an open great room with beautiful views of the lake.

The kitchen is well equipped for all your cooking and barbecuing needs including an induction stovetop and air fry oven. Dine indoors or outdoors on full dining tables. A dishwasher makes clean up easy.

The bathroom has a double vanity, deep bathtub and a shower for 2 adults or families with young children. There is also a stacked washer and dryer for your use.

The living room has a large and comfortable couch from which you can watch a movie or enjoy the view.

Sit on the back deck and watch the famous Grand Bend sunsets. Sit on the private lower deck for a drink or dinner. Sit on the front terrace for your morning coffee or on windy days. Walk down to the private beach for a swim, read or a walk. Enjoy the beautiful, quiet and natural wonder our property has to offer.

We loved our time at this cottage. It exceeded our expectations - it was spotless, beautifully decorated, had every amenity you could need and the location is amazing with absolutely beautiful lake and sunset views. On top of all of that, the hosts were wonderful to deal with.

Our family’s stay at the cottage was wonderful! We loved the view and use of the private beach and outdoor deck. The cottage had all the amenities we needed and was very organized and clean! We loved being able to cook our meals there and eat out on the deck. Hoping to be back someday!

Lovely

Our experience surpassed expectations. The cottage is beautiful. Better than the photos. It was comfortable and had everything that was needed. They have created a relaxing environment. Prior to arrival, I inquired about a potato masher. Skylar made sure one was there. She communicated quickly and sent a message to ensure everything was fine after check-in. My father joined us and has some mobility challenges - the main hall and kitchen are wide and spacious, making it easy to move around. The neighbours are friendly. The decks are spacious and beautiful with a storage area that had beach chairs. We had a fabulous Thanksgiving weekend. I would book this cottage again. Very thoughtful design. Stunning!

Beautiful views of Lake Huron

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy and charming cottage on Lake Huron. We appreciated that it was pet friendly since our son has a small dog.. Loved the outdoor sitting and eating area overlooking Lake Huron and the platform with seating area for sunset viewing midway down to the beach. The main bedroom with the french doors was very comfortable and had a lot of storage space in the large closet for clothes. The cottage was well equipped but take note that no linens are provided; no bed sheets, no bath towels and no kitchen towels. Unfortunately that was not indicated in the listing and only communicated to us after we made the final payment a few days prior to our arrival. Since we were already in the middle of our holiday it was lucky that I had brought all of the necessary linens just in case!!!. Overall, very nice place to stay at at the end of the summer .

Wonderful stay

The place was perfect. The views of the water from deck on back of home and down on second deck to the water. Weather was not co operative but the cottage was clean the beach was great for walks and stone collecting. The neighbors were all very helpful with knowledge and nice to talk to. We would definately come back.

Picturesque views, lovely neighbours and cozy and comfortable cottage

My family had an amazing time at this cottage. We were blown away by the location to say the least. You can see the lake clear as day and have beautiful views of the sunset every night. The property was so well maintained and the neighbours were very friendly. The private beach was great and we even were able to have a beach fire one night. The cottage itself had a lot of kitchen ware so we did not struggle with making meals. There was a perfect amount of space for 5 people to sleep comfortably. The airflow throughout the cottage was also good and we did not get too hot or cold. The distance to downtown Grand Bend was only a 5 minute drive which was convenient. We were even able to bring my two rabbits and my cat and they also had a comfortable stay. All in all, we are definitely going to book this cottage next year! Thank you Skylar and Lorin!

Beach paradise!

The property is everything and more. The sunsets on Lake Huron last forever and you can enjoy them from the private beach or the cottage. Skylar and Lorin are incredible hosts. They really have thought of everything you could need. Fridge by the beach, chairs and toys for the kids. Cottage is perfectly appointed and decorated with a nautical theme. We will be back! Thanks again for the hospitality! ;)

Stay at the Cosy Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The cottage itself was very clean and tidy. It had all of the things you need and even a tv that we were able to hook up to Netflix on a rainy day! The BBQ on the deck was fantastic and really easy to use.The access to the beach is excellent, it literally takes 1 minute to walk to the lake. The views from the cottage are also stunning, especially when it is sunny! Grand Bend is only a 5minute drive away, as is the local grocery store! Skylar was an excellent host and very helpful throughout our stay. We will definitely be coming back in the future.

It was nice and quiet, great for relaxing and lots of lounging areas with a great view of the lake. Especially loved the private beach. It's just a few minutes drive to the main beach and town for other activities. Neighbors are very welcoming and friendly

My wife and I bought the cottage in 2016 and have been renting it out in the weeks we aren't enjoying it ourselves ever since. We have since built a new and much more modern cottage on the original footprint as well as adding two young children to our family to enjoy the cottage with. We spent 7 years in BC and fell in love with the nature and outdoor lifestyle there. We have tried to bring some of that inspiration into our property. We love to share our little piece of calm with like minded folks.

Why they chose this property

Windy Hill is a lovely, quiet and family minded cottage community that is the perfect distance from the Grand Bend Strip. There is lots to do around but its easy to just relax and stay home too!

What makes this property unique

Our cottage is brand new and modern. We have also tried to maintain as much nature as possible on our bank which gives a measure of privacy other cottages on the street don't have. We have beautiful shade in the backyard which makes relaxing up there very easy. It's a nice balance of having modern comforts as well as the natural beauty a cottage has to offer.
