Dolly’s Cottage is located in a peaceful rural village overlooking the Tyne Valley, a fabulous base for exploring this beautiful part of Northumberland and beyond. It is the perfect location for a relaxing break or active holiday. The cottage has a large living room and a lovely inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove, for those cooler evenings. The raised patio to the rear which is accessed through the French doors, is ideal for relaxing and taking in the view over the countryside.
While you are here make sure you visit some of the nearby attractions Cherryburn (National Trust) and Prudhoe Castle (English Heritage) that make for interesting trips out. Take a day to explore Beamish Open Air living museum and other days to explore Hadrian’s Wall (World Heritage Site), which was the north-west frontier of the Roman Empire for nearly 300 years. Nearby, the pretty village of Wylam has an multi-award winning CAMRA pub. The restaurant, only a few yards away, serves lovely food and is popular with villagers and visitors alike. Dolly’s Cottage is an ideal retreat to come home to after a day out exploring this diverse and friendly county, with something to see and do for everyone. Beach 15 miles.

Very relaxing few days away.
Very relaxing few days away. Cottage very clean and very comfortable . Lovely view from the back garden over countryside lovely and peaceful. Owners who lived next door could not have been more helpful bottle of Prosseco was a nice touch.

Cottage was amazing, very clean and modern.
Cottage was amazing, very clean and modern.The back garden patio was very secluded looking over the fields.The bed was very comfortable.The Owners lived next door were lovely and friendly.The location was very central for Hexham, Hadrians wall,English heritage and National trust properties.We would certainly return again in the future
