Great place

Great spot, right in the middle of the action, perfect as a central location to explore Edinburgh. A little noisy late at night, but that's price for being in the thick of it.

The host was very nice,even allowed us to check in a little early. The apartment was perfect for the two of us. You can not do better for a historic location. If we return to Edinburgh we'd definitely look to stay here again.

The convenience of this location cannot be beat! Very central, very comfortable flat! Amazing things:1. Great communication! 2. They kindly allowed us to check in very early which was so appreciated!3. Fantastic home, relatively well kept, comfortable .4. Location location location! 5. Great price! We loved our stay but there’s a couple things we would recommend for the service; none of which took away from the awesome stay hence why it’s still 5 stars: 1. The welcome package only contained 2 loo rolls; there were three of us staying for ten days, we gently recommend you provide additional rolls dependent on number of people and length of stay. 2. The water pressure in the shower is reaaaaally low. 3. The internet bandwidth was very spotty especially at night, we were staying at the end of the month so I figured it was due to running out of data on the internet plan. Would not recommend this spot for remote workers based on that. 4. It can be busy at night in the area, recommend bringing ear plugs for sleeping if you’re a light sleeper! 5. The kitchen window looks out to greyfriars Bobby, so prepare to have tourists milling around. Those who are sensitive to spiritual energies might not be super comfy here Again, fantastic spot to explore the city! Will book with them again!

Lots of shops and access to everything interesting in Edinburgh, a short walk away. On the downside, our street was the main road to an area that had a lot of pubs and bars, so practically every night there were people outside of our building screaming and yelling like drunk fools around 2 to 3 a.m. It woke us all up, every night.

Great place

Highly recommend. The only issue was the noise outside when sleeping on the sofa bed. The windows were single pane and not very sound proof at all earplugs recommended.

Everthing just right. Good location, cozy - with real furniture (not "airport lounge" foam blocks), good bed and linen, nice kitchen, good storage, good lighting. Only two gripes. The bathtub is dangerous. High and narrow with no hand holds. The whole process of taking a shower is precarious. Two...the street door is a magician's trick to open. James Watt himself may have installed it! Overall, really comfortable, nice and right in the middle of the Old Town.
