Summer Getaway

  • 4 of 5

Stayed 6 nights at pools #4. No one else was here it was very quiet. Rental car is a must. Stop for groceries in Georgetown. Chisolm's grocery is close but no produce or fresh meat. Mangoes are great at local fruit stands. Rum point is very close but is catered to cruise ships. We did a good short snorkel and sting ray tour there for $100 for both. Snorkel off back porch was fun. Very shallow and warm. Pool is a bit cold so I can imagine it's worthless in the winter. Over the edge restaraunt is worth trying. Make the drive to Tukka for dinner. Pricey but great food. Condo is pretty plain but who cares about the inside. Good air conditioning screened in porch for bugs. Washer and dryer is a huge plus and wifi is good. Will probably stay again if retuning to the islands.

Relaxing stay

  • 4 of 5

Just got back from a very relaxing stay. We very much enjoyed the peace and quiet this location provided we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. There were a few minor issues but nothing that would keep us from coming back again. Could use some new sheets and maid service would be nice I did not check to see if that could have been added so that is my fault. Many great places to eat close by or a short drive away. Really loved the Tukka restaurant and Kiabo. The private pool was a nice way to cool off. Great place for couples.

Paradise

  • 5 of 5

We came to celebrate our 25th anniversary & could not have asked for a better retreat- a perfect blend of privacy & things to do close by. Great rental, comfortable and well equipped. Kaibo, Rum Point, Over The Edge, and the Lighthouse Restaurants were all close by, and provided a wide variety of food and drinks! Loved the private pool. Stop at Foster's by the airport to get your staples, and enjoy the best location on the island. Rental company/owners very easy to work with.

Peaceful Paradise

  • 5 of 5

My daughter booked this property for us and it was perfect. This property at The Pools is definitely the best positioned as it is at the end and therefore much more private and it feels as if one has one's own private beach. We stayed in February and unlike a previous review I enjoyed the cool pool. Even my 8 month old granddaughter who visited from George Town one afternoon loved it. The property itself is well equipped and the bed was really comfortable. I hope to book it again when we visit next time. I had diver's shoes with me which meant I could snorkel or just go anywhere in the sea and explore the many different beaches around and would recommend them for anyone visiting Cayman - unless you stay on Seven Mile all the time. Agree with previous comments about Over the Edge restaurant. Great to walk along the beach to Kaibo restaurant for a drink but the daytime bar food was disappointing.

Perfect place for my husband and myself.

Peaceful Paradise!

  • 5 of 5

This trip to Grand Cayman was our first time traveling with our baby girl. Needless to say, baking in the sun and jetskiing weren't on our list of things to do! Cayman Kai was the perfect retreat away from the hustle and bustle and this unit (our second time there) could not have been better. It was cool, clean, quiet and has been updated with a very comfortable white sectional sofa that is perfect for napping and reading. The private pool was just right for baby's first swim and the enclosed porch let us spend time outdoors without the threat of too much sun or mosquito bites. And there is nothing better than the view you wake up to!

We really enjoyed being able to walk down the beach for beer and sandwiches and Rum Point is close enough that you don't feel totally removed from the fun and adventure. I can honestly say that we plan on staying here again next year - or hopefully sooner!!

Loved It!

  • 4 of 5

Wonderful villa. My husband and i booked the Pools #1 for our honeymoon. We loved the location. It's not like seven mile, thank God. We snorkled right out from the villa, but a little weary, as jet skis and boats come very close to the shore. We walked down the beach to Kaibo and ate lunch one day. We went to Rum Point beach and swam and booked some excursions with red sail sports. They are wonderful as well, giving us discounts on certain bookings. Swam with the stingrays at stingray city. Took a sunset cruise on a sailboat. Be sure to eat at Over the Edge Cafe. This was the best restaurant we found and the cheapest! The villa has everything you need, even free WiFi. Shower is awesome, bed is big and comfy. There is even washer and dryer in it. Loved every bit of the Pools #1. A couple things we were dissapointed with was the private pool was too cold to swim in comfortably. We were there in mid-February so that might have something to do with it. Lights were burned out on the back patio. And we were bothered quite a few times. Phone calls, workers coming by to install locks unannounced, and the housekeeper was antsy to start cleaning on the day we left, well before check out time.
