The Collection Barcelona welcomes you to this modern and bright 4 bedroom / 2 bathroom flat, located at the heart of Barcelona's City Center, perfect for those who want to stay in the old neighbourhood of the city with plenty to do on your doorstep. The apartment is located next to Las Ramblas and Liceu theater.
The Space:
Welcome to this 140 m2 spacious and bright flat in a historical building located next to Las Ramblas and the emblematic centre of Barcelona, Plaça Catalunya. Barcelona’s historic Old Town is an ideal spot for art and culture lovers, containing some of the most emblematic monuments and museums of the city.
We are managers of other apartments in the building, really convenient for big families, groups of friends or business trips. Please note all apartments are almost identical, on layout, equipment and characteristics, but there might be some small changes on decoration.

The apartment has a capacity for up to 12 people distributed in 4 bedrooms:

The Neighborhood:
El Raval is a cosmopolitan and multicultural neighborhood that is part of the Ciutat Vella district, the historic part of Barcelona. It is the perfect place for lovers of history and culture, as it is home to emblematic monuments and museums of Barcelona. The Palau Güell, the MACBA, the CCCB and the famous Mercado de la Boqueria are some of the symbols of this neighborhood where people of all nationalities converge.
Getting Around:
- The apartment is located 5 minutes away from Liceu metro station (L3) by Las Ramblas.
- The easiest way to get from/to the airport is taking the Aerobus at Plaza Catalunya, this costs around 4,50 EUR per person.
Other Things to Note:
*** TOURIST TAX & REGISTRATION PROCESS ***
- Since 2012 the Catalan administration requires that every guest staying in a hotel room or renting an apartment in Catalunya contributes with a small city tax fee of 9.50€ per guest (over 17 years old) per night up to a maximum of 7 nights. This cost IS NOT included on your reservation.
- National and International police demand that each guest, prior to their visit to Barcelona, would send information of their IDs or passports. This is mandatory, as it is stated in Catalan Law, and all legal touristic establishments are required to do so.
- This apartment uses a self-checkin system via the Chekin platform that will allow you to register all guests on the reservation
and pay the mandatory tourist taxes before your arrival.

Check-in time is at 17:00 hrs
Check-out is at 11:00 am (non-agreed late check-outs will incur on a 100€ charge per hour late)
*** HOUSE RULES ***
1. Parties, drugs, loud noise or any kind of disturbance towards the neighbors are completely forbidden, with a penalty of 400€ and possible eviction
2. Please observe quiet time between 10pm - 9am.
3. Respect your neighbors and be respectful in common areas (hallways, entrance, elevator, stairs).
4. Loss of keys will have a 100€ charge per key lost.
5. Smoking on interior areas will have a charge of 100€ + all cleaning fees involved.
6. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities.
7. Please leave the apartment in a respectable condition.
Not following those rules will incur on a monetary sanction and the full responsibility of any fines from the local administration or authorities.

Pre-rehab rental
This apartment is very spacious and in a great location. There is a supermarket with a coffee/deli bar next door with the NICEST mom/daughter duo. It is quiet at night. However, this apartment is ready for a rehab… dirty curtains, munched up floorboards, dirty walls, peeling wallpaper.. The back patio had broken chairs, a rat trap and fresh animal poo. The front windows are totally covered by scaffolding and cloth. If you want to throw open the curtains and seize the day, you might stare directly at a scruffy, dusty worker on the scaffolding looking back at you so make sure you wear pajamas! We could overlook most of this… but upon arrival we were asked not to use the 2nd bathroom due to a plumbing issue. We told the host he was welcome to send in a plumber but he decided to wait until after our stay so we did not have use of a 2nd bathroom as advertised. I think it’s not terrible to rent an apartment in this condition, but I think the owner needs to be more truthful in his advertising. It would be wonderful with a quick paint job, plumbing fix, and a general quick rehab. We are now at a 2 star hotel nearby and it is much cleaner and more charming.

Hi Megan, you were advised on the listing description about the scaffolding being up during your stay, as you stayed in a historic building the façade needs to be preserved according to the local administration protocols. The scaffolding is no longer there and you can have a great look at a brand new facade, no workers any more.

Avoid at all costs
At a premium priced listing I expected something slightly better. The apartment is located above an underground drug store which attracts unsafe characters. We did not stay here more than a few hours before seeking refuge elsewhere. Avoid at all costs. horrendous.

George drug store in spanish or "Drogería" refers to a store where cleaning products are sold, still not sure why this would have anything to do with the apartment itself.
