This cabin will remind you of a simple way of life from times past! 'It is comfortable and peaceful here', said a recent renter. The front porch across the full length of the house makes a great place to sip coffee, relax, and listen to nature. It's unique location allows for retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life! You will love the small but well stocked pond that is within 30 feet of the front porch and a second pond only 100 yards away! A 4lb bass was recently caught!
The path behind the cabin leads to a small creek where deer and turkey are often seen; this is also a great place for a nice picnic or even horse back riding! For those who enjoy fosil finding and arrow head collecting you will enjoy exploring around the creek banks.

About Property Manager
My parents built this little cabin on the land my Dad grew up on! My Dad grew up dirt poor, but managed to put my sister and I through college without borrowing a dime! The cabin is built much the same way, no loans, no extras, just the basics with lots of hard work and dedication! The planks on the outside are from two large pine trees we cut off the land, and the pond is feed by a well that has not gone dry in over 70 years! This is just our little bit of heaven we hope others enjoy!
Property Manager purchased this Cabin in 2007

This cabin was a nice little get away. I will be stay here again.
A little difficult to locate, but after you find it, well worth it. Quiet, everyone that went by, waved, smiled, couldn't have asked for a better place. It had all the appliances, including washer, dryer, BBQ. The only thing I regret is meeting Earl and his wife, we just missed connections. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
Hi Bob, thanks for such a nice review. I actually laughed out loud as your one sentence said, "the only thing I regret is meeting Earl....we just missed connections". I think you meant you regret not getting to meet Earl. Like I said, I laughed!
It can be tough to find especially at night. Maybe we can put up a couple of signs for assistance on that.
So glad you all enjoyed being at our little slice of heaven!
A Restful Retreat
This was our first time to rent a cabin in 45 years of marriage! We were very pleased with our choice. We explored nearby Little River Canyon and Fort Payne. We hope to return again with our grandchildren during a warmer season. We will highly recommend this property to others.
We liok forward to you all returning! Thank you!
Great cabin at a great price
The cabin is remote but easy to get to. A car might go by every hour or so. The pond out front only has a handful of bass (we did catch one), but there is a larger pond across the street with some catfish, owned by the same owner, so be sure to ask about that. There is no internet, but Verizon does get a signal (although the data speed is a little slow, varying from 4G at times down to 1x). The kitchen has everything you need.
Now for the truly great part. The owner is amazing. I accidentally left my laptop there, and instead of making the 6 hour round trip haul to get it, the owner offered to FedEx it to me the next business day. It arrived overnight just fine. The owner put up the payment, with me giving a COD check to FedEx on arrival. He's truly a very nice man.
We are so very glad you enjoyed your stay at Country Cabin! We hope to get the ponds restocked soon and maybe next time you all will catch enough fish to have a lovely fish fry!
The owner happens to be my Dad so of course I think you are ever so correct in that he is "truly a nice man"! ; ) We do work very hard to make everyone's stay enjoyable and we believe in the greatest commandment, Love one another!
It was a cozy and quiet little cabin. My wife and I really enjoyed our weekend get away. Highly recommended.
Wonderful place, exactly what we wanted! Thank you!
