Great location on the water. We loved the water access. The water was a bit shallow in March, but that was to be expected on a waterway that is controlled. The host explained this well in the description. The kayaks were a lot of fun. The house was very clean. We would stay here again.
Peaceful and enjoyable 4th of July. Property was as advertised. Very clean and organized with an amazing view. We would definitely book again when in the area.
Lots of amenities provided and the house was extremely clean when we arrived. The view of the lake was very nice and we had a great time. Thank you for letting us stay.

Thank you, Brandon! We hope you’ll stay with us again.
We’ve used VRBO for many years, I’ve always given a perfect score but not this time. I contacted the owner immediately bc there are roaches. She told us to go buy traps or she would refund us our three week stay. That wasn’t an option bc my husband is 78 and I’m 76 handicapped woman that couldn’t help drag everything back to the car just to go back nome. We were just very careful we didn’t bring them home . They were confined to the kitchen from what we could see. Bc of my handicap the sunroom is the reason I wanted this place bc I can’t get out and roam around but I could watch my family enjoy themselves. That didn’t happen bc we weren’t allowed to use the air conditioner in the sunroom and that room was in the 90s by early morning. The pictures showed the air conditioner plugged in. So disappointed in this place. I think we should get some money refunded but that’s up to the owner.

I am very sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. When I was contacted on the first day regarding the bug issue, I immediately offered a full refund for the entire three-week stay if you chose to check out. You declined that option and decided to continue your stay, and I asked that you keep me informed of any additional concerns so I could address them right away. No further issues were reported during the remaining three weeks of your visit.
I understand how disappointing it can be when a vacation experience does not go as planned, especially when comfort and accessibility are important. I do my best to respond quickly and fairly to any concerns raised by guests, and I appreciate your feedback.
We booked for the amenities, and they didn’t disappoint! The view of the lake was gorgeous, and we thoroughly enjoyed the kayaks and yard games in the huge yard. There was also a paddle board and floats! We brought our fishing poles and got some good use out of them too. I’m glad we brought some of our own life jackets because the two kid one’s there were only up to 50 lbs so we needed our own. There was so much to keep all of us happy and active! We finished every night with a fire and s’mores. We would definitely book again!
We just want to thank you for sharing your home with us for the week we absolutely had the best time ever we will definitely be back can’t wait it’s absolutely beautiful and very clean ❤️❤️❤️🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘until next Time

The house was very nice, clean and well keptWe were there to fish and a outside water faucetof been a great help. Plan to come back to the areanext year and will consider the Hideaway again.
This is a very cute lake house supplied with everything you need. Easy accces to the lake on the dock at the end of the property. The house has been completely remodeled with updated counter tops, appliances, and fixtures. Would definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed Bigfoot Hideway while in town for a wedding. The property is very spacious with a fantastic view. The kayak and fire pit amenities were an extra bonus. Our stay was clean, comfortable, and cozy. We enjoy cooking, so my feedback would be just a few more kitchen unensils that we missed (a grater, potato peeler). My other feedback would be to possibly consider a slightly later checkout time than 10AM. One hour later would have made a big difference. Overall, I highly recommend this rental and would definitely visit again.
The property was newly remodeled except for the bathrooms. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped and had plenty of storage. The hosts quickly responded when contacted with questions. It met all of our expectations and then some. The only issue we had, which was totally out of the host’s control, was that the water was so shallow at the boat dock that we couldn’t bring our boat up to the dock and had to launch it every day. The water had dropped 3 feet the week before but was rising again by the time we left.
