As its name suggests, Stone’s Throw is just a short walk to Walmer’s attractive seafront, The Strand with its beach front cafes and shops, and the coastal promenade which takes you into Deal, with its iconic pier, seafront restaurants and pubs and buzzing high street with boutique shops and artisan delis. The cottage is a spacious, modern, and comfortable holiday home with a large sitting room, open plan kitchen dining room and sunny courtyard garden. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a family shower room. This lovely family friendly holiday home also benefits from free on-street parking outside the cottage. It's pet friendly too!

Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time.
Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.
Parties and loud music are not permitted.

Great short holiday

Very happy with the property, very spacious, comfy and well organised for a two bedroom house.....our only problem was parking, although there may have been a few gaps in the vicinity people normally like to have their car nearby as close as possible and we struggled to be able to do this. Overall a very nice stay.

A great stay, a great cottage

Our experience of booking through Keepers Cottages was exemplary, The team were so friendly and helpful, but at the same time a really efficient and professional service. Unlike our previous anonymous experiences with the big UK holiday let companies. The cottage was perfect, exactly as described, immaculately clean and, unlike many holiday lets, the furnishings, bedding etc were great and the kitchen well equipped. Perfect location for enjoying the seafront at Walmer and a good walk takes you into Deal with all it’s shops, pubs etc. Staying in April, we had no difficulty parking right outside.

Fit for purpose.

It suited us well - clean, quiet and comfortable. Would have benefitted from a shaver point in the bathroom but this is just a small thing. It was all as described.

Late summer short break

The house was well equipped and comfortable. The location, close to Walmer seafront could not have been better. We were a group of 4 adults and the house accommodated us very well. I struggled slightly with the stairs and different floor levels but I was aware of that before I arrived so it's not a complaint at all. All in all, we had a smashing little break and I would stay there again.

Lovely spacious Cottage very close to beach front and easy walks into Deal and along seafront to Kingsdown or further to St Margert's Bay or even up to Sandwhich. Cottage was clean and well equipped, some minor problems with TV as no freeview and everything had to be watched via apps e.g. iPlayer, Boiler Fan very noisy (not well?) and New Gas meter near front door needs boxing in. All mentioned to agent so hopefully will be resolved soon. Lovely base for the area recommend.

Lovely cottage in ideal location.

Stones Throw is in an ideal location.Just yards from the sea and plenty to do if you don`t want to get in the car every day.The walks along the beach in either direction are very good, with plenty of benches to sit down and enjoy the views. The cottage itself has everything you would require and has plenty of space as all rooms are quite big.The only thing that would have made it better for us would be a small shelf/stand inside the shower to put your shower gel/shampoo etc on as keep bending to the floor is not so easy for people of a certain age (like us!) . Easy,excellent customer service from Keepers Cottages who emailed us the morning after arrival to check that everything was ok. We hope to return to Stones Throw again.

Ideal location

The property was beautifully decorated throughout, with everything you needed. Its location is as it's name says, a stone's throw away from everything! Walmer itself has a great local pub, a couple of shops and takeaway, plus it is close to the beach and lovely paths and greens to walk your dog. Deal, the closest main town is an easy 10 or 15 minute walk. Just to mention, I cannot remember if it mentioned the different levels of flooring in the property in the on line description. In the first day at least we forgot there were steps and tripped a couple of times. We remembered and were aware by the second day. Just something to be mindful of if your mobility isn't great. Otherwise I highly recommend.

Just about acceptable

It was OK. After having stayed in various different houses in York Road & Campbell Road, I was expecting the same quality, so maybe I just had too high expectations. The front door was in pretty rough condition and above the door the brickwork was worryingly decaying which gave a poor first impression. On entry, the first possibility to place things was the dining table which, unfortunately, was not clean. Some of the dining chairs had für balls on them from previous dwellers, probably from a dog. The cutlery and crockery were not clean, there was no dishwasher, something we missed when booking the facility. The TV didn't work, no satellite signal and neither Netflix nor Sky worked (unless you watched recordings from 2020/2022) - quite a disappointment with two children, but on the bright side, they read their books instead. The back yard.....definitely not a selling factor and much to my personal disappointment, on reading the "house rules" (not visible online) I discovered that the yard was also a non smoking area. All in all the accommodation was not as bad as it reads, the small things, however, added up create a general feeling of disappointment.

Moderne frische und ruhige Unterkunft für Paare oder Familie. Am Strand oder im Ort ist man zu Fuß in 5 bis 10 min.
