Welcome to our quirky holiday home located in Bishopstone. We are a 6 minute stroll through the fairy woods to the beach, then a further 25 minute walk to Herne Bay Town. From the bungalow we are a 25 minute walk to Reculver Towers.
We just love the view of the fields from the front of our bungalow and the distant sea views from the back. We are just a six minute stroll through the fairy woods to the beach.
We welcome up to two well-behaved dogs and our bungalow sleeps up to 6 people (plus a baby in a cot).
In bedroom 1 we have a kingsize bed and TV with Netflix & Amazon prime
In bedroom 2 we have a double bed with the added benefit of an en-suite shower room & toilet.
In bedroom 3 we have a trundle and single bed which can be set up as a twin room or put together to create a kingsize bed.
There are two bathrooms, the main shared one and one in the en-suite bedroom (both of which have large shower enclosures).
We have a secure enclosed garden with table and chairs for al fresco dining and large garden games, including the giant chess set.
Bedding and towels are provided, including plenty of dog towels to wipe/wash down our furry friends (if you have one) :)
We have a type 2 EV charger for your convenience, please just ask us for the code (a cost charge via bank transfer after stay will be applied). Our home is ideally situated for people who love the outdoors, enjoy walks and being near the coast. We are close enough to Herne Bay Town and just a short drive away from Whitstable and Canterbury along with some of the other lovely Kent towns.

A great place to stay with children.

The bungalow was bright and roomy. Lots of games for the children to play, and lots of things for the adults. Very well equipped. Good walks, and close to Herne Bay. Overall, a lovely place to stay.

Excellent home away from home

We had a fabulous stay at here. Incredibly well stocked kitchen, lots of space for everyone! Would highly recommend anyone to stay here and will book again if we come back to this area. Thank you for the fantastic stay!

Great property, great location lots of lovley touches for everyone including the dog! Kitchen fully equiped with everything you need to cook whatever you fancy, including essentials like oil, condements and even a few spices. Soptlessly clean on arrival and great comms with Tina aloowing early arrival which was really appriciated!

A home away from home

This is an amazing holiday home. It has everything you need for your stay from a fully stocked kitchen to lots of family games to play both inside and out. A very clean property who welcome dogs. Great hosts and personal touches.

Couldn't Have been better!

Tina has supplied all (and some nice extras) for a great Holiday rental. The location is great for pet owners with walks from the doorstep, and just a 6min walk to the beach. Everything and more made our stay very enjoyable.

Great property, great location

Really good property that was exactly as described. Great communication with owner leading up to our visit to explain about check in and help with any questions. Plenty of equipment (cutlery, etc) and supplies of tea/coffee. Would definitely recommend properly and would stay again if in the area.

A great weekend

We had a great time at this bungalow. On arrival the accommodation was very clean, everything we needed, lots of quirky things with lots of games for our granddaughters. The bungalow is in a good position for walking if you wish to, also in a beautiful location. We would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Beautiful Bungalow with lots of extra touches

Tina was a perfect host and dealt with any queries immediately. The bungalow is fantastic and we loved the decor. We really enjoyed the little extras such as the giant chess and retro games tablen and were grateful for the cupcakes and seed bombs on arrival. I highly recommended this property and would happily stay there again.

Awesome Place

The bungalow is absolutely awesome, the deco amazing, game and equipment 2nd to none, great location, had a fantastic 40th Anniversary 4 day weekend, kids and family arriving on the Sunday great times had by all, plenty of room to run around eat, we just played all day, will be returning soon, Thank you we had an amazing time.

Stylish property

Tina has been fantastic from start to finish, her home is very stylish and well thought out, including all the treats and suggestions on the nearby area.It's located in a lovely quiet area, very close to the beach which our labrador dogs enjoed.We absolutely loved the juke box and the games table, we felt we didnt need to go out.This property really is a perfect stay if you want to relax.Thank you again Tina we loved evey minute of our stay.Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

Fantastic short break

We had a three night stay at this property. Great base to explore the local area. The house was clean and very well appointed, with lots of little extra touches. The owner was very good with communication ahead of our stay, giving us all the information we needed. Would highly recommend.

Doggy Holiday

Chose this property as it was dog friendly. Great position for the beach, just a few minute walk. The property was lovely. Furnished to a really high standard and had everything you needed for human and dogs. Would highly recommend it.

Brilliant property with everything one would expect and more. Location was also perfect, very quiet but only a few minutes walk to the beach or out on to coastal path. We also enjoyed some great meals out in local pubs. Overall brilliant and relaxing 10 days.

Sassy stay!

This property is amazing. One of the best Vrbo places we have stayed. The style if the place is very classy, spotlessly clean and special touches that make it a great getaway. We used all the fun stuff, including the roulette table. Close for nice walks along the coast into reculver and Hernebay. Definitely going back.

Wonderful bungalow close to the sea

We stated as a family of 4 (2 teenage boys) and a small dog. The bungalow is lovingly furnished and very comfortable. We lacked nothing. The owners were very friendly and helpful. I loved the short walk from the house to Teculver Towers.

Excellent holiday home

The house is spacious and well fitted out. The quirky decor makes a refreshing change to the basic furniture and fittings found in most holiday homes. The whole house was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen is fully equipped. The welcome cupcakes were delicious. It’s an easy 10 minute walk through the woodland to the beach. I would highly recommend this property to families and friends.

We bought the bungalow in 2021 as our holiday home and now we want to share this with others. We love the area, there is so much to do in and around Kent. What attracted us to the bungalow were the stunning views from the front and the back of the property.
We overlook fields to the front and distant sea views from the back, so it has a tranquil feel about it and yet we are still in a residential area, so not completely rural.

Within a few minutes' walk, you will find yourself on the coastal path to Reculver, which is ideal for us as dog owners. It takes just 25 minutes to walk to Reculver Towers, where you can stop for a cuppa, breakfast... (or an alcoholic beverage), before a plod back with your dog, children, friends, bikes, or whatever takes your fancy. From here you can choose to walk back along the cliff top or on the beach and we favour the beach so our dog can dip his paws in the sea.

The bungalow has a fun feel about it, as it is equipped with various quirky things for your enjoyment. These include:-
The electronic retro gaming table that has over 30 arcade games for you to play
Roulette & Card table
Juke Box style CD player
Outside are the giant-sized garden games including the chess set, jenga, snakes & ladders, and connect four.
