Stable cottage has been converted from the old stable block for Spital House. It is all on one level and is situated next to the current stables within the peaceful grounds of a private estate. There is an abundance wildlife you can view from the cottage - deer, badgers, hares and many birds. Perfect place for a quiet getaway.

Set in a beautiful location, ideal for exploring the area. Good train links from nearby Berwick-upon-Tweed. Cottage had a wonderful homely vibe; would definitely stay again.

Stable cottage is in a beautiful location a few miles from Berwick upon Tweed and the other attractions of the Scottish Borders and North East England. It is warm cosy and well equipped and so peaceful. A car is a must if you are staying here. We had a last minute problem with dates and Liz was so helpful is changing them for us. I would recommend this cottage and will definitely revisit.

Simply the best accommodation my Wife and I have had the pleasure of staying in. Our host was amazing, she made us feel very welcome and left us an array of goodies for us to enjoy. Beautiful location

Liz the owner welcomed us as we arrived she is lovely, the cottage is very well equipped and the location is so lovely, near to Berwick and surrounding area found it very easily, would recommend it to all.

Very peaceful

Recently had a short break at Stable cottage. It’s located in the grounds of a country estate and is very peaceful but only a short drive from Berwick for restaurants shopping etc and within easy reach of several good supermarkets. A car is definitely needed to stay here. The cottage was clean, spacious and well equipped and Liz left a lovely welcome pack along with milk, coffee, teabags etc. it’s a good base for exploring the Scottish Borders and other areas like Bamburgh, Alnwick, Holy Island etc. we had a really good stay and hope to return soon.

Great relaxing Bank Holiday weekend away from home

Lovely setting & accommodation, all as advertised. Fabulous grounds with plenty of nature,around when sat outside relaxing. Very good kitted out kitchen, and locally produced welcome treats on arrival. Thanks you very much Liz, would definitely stay again.

Lovely comfortable cottage, beautiful grounds, peaceful surroundings

The cottage is spacious, clean very nicely furnished and has a well equipped kitchen. It was warm, comfortable and very peaceful. Liz, the owner, is pleasant and helpful. A welcome basket of goodies was left for me, along with milk in the fridge - very thoughtful. It was one of the nicest holiday rentals that I've stayed in.I would have loved to stay longer and would certainly think about going back there.
