Great getaway to fish, hunt, play, celebrate a date or just relax.
Enjoy 1,200 sq ft of awesome home on the trout filled Cumberland River. We are about 5 miles down river from Burkesville and 38 miles downstream from Cumberland Lake. Twenty minutes from Sulphur Springs-Dale Hollow, thrity minutes from Wolf Creek Dam and Hatchery Creek. The house is Victorian on the outside and cabin on the inside. The upstairs has a loft with a futon and Fly tying desk, upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and a pullout couch, shower and laundry. Downstairs Bedroom is a double bed, pullout couch and Full bath. The living room has a pullout couch and two oversized chairs surrounding the fireplace. My wife decorated this and I will tell you if you like fishing you will love this place. There is a front porch and back deck overlooking the river and a small herb and vegetable garden to use. There is also a fully stocked fly tying bench if you would like to create the next great Cumberland striper fly. This is our future retirement home and has everything you will possibly need. Its not a party place so if you and friends are looking for place to let it rip this is not a good choice. There is a fire pit down by the river and another below the deck you can use for cookouts over a fire or a charcoal grill on the deck, horseshoe pit and Picnic table down by the river. Cards, cribbage, corn hole, crokinole and a dartboard if you like games. AC, Heat, Galley Kitchen, indoor fireplace, washer/dryer, sheets, pillows and towels. There is also wifi, Internet TV ROKU and plenty of DVD movies. You can use the boat ramp that adjoins the property it is a community ramp that we maintain. There may be some locals fishing down there and thats ok, most of them have become freinds. You won't see the boat activity down here that you see in the first 15 miles down from Wolf Creek Dam, six boats a day is a lot. This a great base camp for large trout, striper and walleye. We love to fish and occasionally we keep one for the pan. Our freezer is not filled with fish and we prefer like minded people. The river is coming back from the construction project and the fishing is getting better and better. You are also most likely to meet Bruno & Tigger, local dogs that spend more time at our house than at their own home up on the hill. They are great dogs, love treats, being talked to and petted. Tigger is a little shy. As you may have figured out we are pet lovers. If you want to bring your animals its ok with us. There is cat box in the upstairs bathroom closet and a dog crate downstairs. Just bring food. If the dogs are going to be left behind and may ruin something please crate them. There is no smoking or vaping in the house. If you need to smoke do it outside and please don't leave butts in the grass or fire pit. If you have questions call me.

About Gregg Markowski
We are Gregg & Gaylene. Currently living in Indianapolis with a dog named Packer and a sister and brother combo of kittens we rescued from a fire ( Ember and Lucky ). We love to fly fish and enjoy going to "Fish Camp". We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Gregg Markowski purchased this Cabin in 2016
Why Gregg Markowski chose Burkesville
We looked for a long time for a property on a trophy trout water. Initially we bought the 3.5 acres up on the hill then 8.5 acres with a dream to build a house. Then through happenstance discovered this house was possibly for sale and bought it. The three pieces now comprise Riverbrook Farm our slice of Heaven.
What makes this Cabin unique
We love sitting on the back porch and watching the river go by or waving to the fisherman. There is a bounty of wildlife here. We see river otters, mink, beaver, muskrat, deer and bald eagles...ALL THE TIME!

Beautiful cabin on the river.
Perfect spot for a getaway on the Cumberland river. We will definitely be coming back. The owner Greg was excellent to work with.
Highly impressed with this secluded retreat!
We absolutely loved the well appointed cabin on the Cumberland River. It have everything just like home, plus an expansive waterfront view. The additional convenience of bringing our two "furry" children! Awesome! We will certainly be back! Steven and Pamela Mirabella
Nice quiet place.
Beautiful home. Nature all around! Dogs loved it and we did too! Rained too much but we enjoyed the cabin even more.
Yes it rained alright. The lower yard was flooded. This has been a cold wet wet spring. Come back again this summer!
The perfect slice of paradise that every person should experience
Loved the location, loved waking up to the river in the back yard, I loved the identity of the play me personally I felt at home and if I wasn’t fishing I was tying flies the owner showed great communication and cooperation I definitely will be coming back and it maybe sooner than I think!!! -TIGHT LINES!!!
