Spacious Detached Villa With Private Floodlit Pool

Casa Los Olivos is located on the edge of the pretty village of Los Romanes a 5 minutes drive from Lake Vinuela. 20 minutes to the beaches of Torre del Mar and 40 minutes to Malaga airport. A shopping center or authentic Spanish shops all within 15 minutes. The area around Los Romanes and Vinuela is perfect for nature lovers, the views are breathtaking, but also tourist spots and restaurants are easily accessible. Cities such as Granada, Cordoba are only 1.5 hours away.

Our villa has a lot of privacy, is located in the middle of nature, surrounded by beautiful slopes with olive trees. The silence is deafening. The house has an authentic Spanish character but is equipped with all modern conveniences. The fastest internet connection (Starlink) both inside and outside, Sonos bluetooth players inside and in the garden, good and modern furniture. Kitchen accessories, complete, modern and new. An 18 liter water filter that makes carrying water bottles unnecessary. A lovely outdoor dining table for long evenings, BBQ and a beautiful swimming pool and garden furniture. 3 Bedrooms with 6 beds, living room with a smart TV with all channels and Netflix. A wonderful place to completely relax!

Love Los Romanes

We have visited the Los Romanes area more than 15 times and this is the first villa we have stayed in without a Lake view - and we didn’t miss it! Thank you to Peter for the excellent communication and to Tony & Lindi for looking after us while we were there. One of the best welcome packs as well. Hopefully we will return. Thank you again. Our ideal holiday home!

We booked the Villa for a week whilst we were looking at properties to buy as a holiday home. None of the properties we viewed matched Los Olivos. Excellent outside area with superb views. Short walk or drive to Los Romanes, which is a very nice village. The inside matches traditional designs with a simple layout. One bedroom and bathroom downstairs, the other two bedrooms and second bathroom upstairs. The well equipped kitchen has everything you need, if you want to self cater for your whole stay. We ate outside where possible, either on the large outdoor table or on the easy chairs on the covered porch. The TV has a FireStick with IPTV so access to whatever you want to watch shouldn't be a problem. On site property management is provided by Tony and his wife, who are always available via WhatsApp. They have lived locally for while and so can provide excellent local knowledge as well as practical help. If we don’t find a property to buy beforehand, we will be renting Los Olivos again next year.

The property had all the the comforts of home the beds need updating and the villa is dated however it had everything you need for your stay the location was the down side for us access to the villa is quite a challenge road wise and the mosquito problem was a big issue for the children made outside dinning a no no pool and outside area was good parking good overall the villa done it’s job and was good value for money

A truly stunning villa in the most beautiful location.5 mins walk to the village,10 mins drive to some bars & restaurants & 20 mins drive to an amazing beach. The villa itself was fantastic,a real home & I have stayed in many villas before but by far this one was 2nd to none.Location,quiet,spacious & the most beautiful view.A special mention to Tony & Lindi who are always on hand to help if needed.

Fabulous villa in a wonderful setting

This is a wonderful villa with breathtaking views of the hills. It's as described and the photos are an accurate portrayal of the accommodation. We've stayed at a number of villas and this is the best equipped yet with everything you need and more! The welcome pack was greatly appreciated as we arrived after the shops had closed. The pool is wonderful and the views from it are amazing. Tony who manages the property locally is just lovely and is on hand for any questions. We wish we could've stayed longer!

Lovely villa and stay

Exactly what I was hoping for, secluded style villa with great views of the hills. Property was spacious for our family of 4 and lovely grounds and pool was great too. Village is nearby to walk to for basic shopping and an easy drive to Velez Malaga or Torre De Mar for days out, bigger shops and meals out.

Idyllic location

We stayed as a family - 2 adults, 2 children 17 & 12 years at the property for 2 weeks. It is in an absolutely beautiful location about 50 min drive from Malaga airport. The views across the hills/mountains from the swimming pool & outside areas are absolutely breathtaking, we never got bored of just sitting there & taking it all in. We were met by Tony the key holder and shown the villa & he was always on hand should you need him. Great BBQ to cook on & kids loved the pool. Accommodation is like home from home and has everything you need. Kitchen is very well equipped which makes it easy to cook. Nearest beach is Torre Del Mar about 25/30 min easy drive and Velez Malaga 15/20 min drive for bigger supermarkets/shopping centre. We enjoyed water sports on the amazing lake in Vinuela just down the road. All in all we had a great holiday & didn’t want to come home. We would definitely return !! Thank you Peter.

Total relaxation in Los Romanes

This is a lovely villa situated in the picturesque village of Los Romanes. The pictures online are a very accurate portrayal of the property. The villa is very secure which was important for us and our two young children. The villa was very spacious for a family of 4 and could easily house a larger family. The villa is very well equipped and the pool is just perfect with its wonderful view of the mountains. The check in process was very straightforward and Sue was extremely helpful. I highly recommend this villa if you would like to have complete relaxation for your family.

Extremely well equipped, traditional styled villa with beautiful views

We really enjoyed our stay in this very well equipped villa - everything you could need was provided and more (e.g. toys for the pool). There were lovely views across the hills and although the villa felt private it was not remote, as there were other houses dotted around. The villa manager lives next door and was very responsive (the 2nd outdoor (plastic) table which the previous tenants had broken by accident was replaced within hours of our arrival). The villa has a traditional feel inside with wooden shutters which kept the lounge very cool indeed (we didn't need the aircon except overnight in the bedrooms). Lots of nice places to visit within an hour's drive (Competa, Frigiliana, Torrox etc) but it was lovely to come back to enjoy the peaceful setting and watch the sun going down behind the hills.

Stunning rural hideaway

The property is located in a stunning setting with the lake and mountains for miles and miles of beautiful scenery, which changes colours with the setting sun. The property was clean and very pleasant. The pool, equally clean and well maintained a welcome break from the sun and the ‘pool toys’ a great touch for the kids. Well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, (ideal for those of us that want to deliberately travel light). Many great places to travel to and explore e.g. Comares, Frigiliana and Nerja - within about 40 mins or so. Markets galore. The village itself was friendly, very well looked after and we used the local small but well stocked supermarket and local pristine bakery regularly. Both these and nearby Tavernas only a short walk up the hill into the village. Overall impressions are very pleased with our stay and we would return.

Outstanding the best villa we have ever stayed at.

Everything is excellent, high quality furniture, beds and facilities, sun beds with comfy clean cushions. The villa is super and I’m a fusspot. The kitchen is equipped like our own not just basics there is everything ! We adored staying here. So beautifully located close to the village with a few bars a shop and lovely restaurant. We loved reading, relaxing while looking at the view and cooling off in the pool. Do not hesitate to book if u want a private peaceful base only 20 mins from beaches and towns to explore. The neighbours who checked us in and where on hand for anything are lovely very respectful of never intruding but only a call or text should you need anything. 100 % not a single thing I can say negative. Simply wonderful thank you for letting us stay xxx

Well equipped villa in an excellent location

Peter and Hazel provide a really high standard of accommodation in their villa. The location is just outside Los Romanes with views over almost deserted hillsides. All the equipment is of high standard, including the best gas-fired BBQ I’ve come across. As we self-cater the kitchen equipment was important and it was well above average with a good range of utensils and appliances. A problem with one appliance was sorted out by Peter and the local contact without fuss. Both before and during the stay Peter and Hazel provided a really first class service with excellent advice and communication. Thoroughly recommended.

Tranquil and Idyllic Villa

From the outset, Peter and Hazel supplied us with an abundance of useful information about the area, the villa itself and they gave us confidence in the boooking process which could not have been easier. The villa was exactly what we were looking for having previously stayed in villas on built up urbanizations. The villa is set in secure and private gardens and set in stunning location with nothing but a beautiful mountain backdrop and just a few villas in the distance. The pool is a good size and we spent much of our time bathing in glorious sunshine. The pool was nicely maintained by Garry and Sue (neighbours of Peter and Hazel) and they were on hand throughout the holiday for any further information or support as required. All of the local information provided was excellent and enabled us to get out and about to the local shops, supermarkets in neighbouring villages and a couple of runs out to the main shopping centre in Velez Malaga as well as a day out at the beach (20 Minutes drive only). The villa is well equiped and homely and one of the few we have come across with Air Con in every room, a much welcomed addition. Considering the high up location, we were amazed at the quality of the WI FI and enabled us to skype/face time a number of relatives/firends in the UK and give them a virtual guided tour of the villa and suroundings. We thoughrougly enjoyed our 15 days and hope to return again in the not too far distant future. Thanks for letting us share your home. Best Wishes from Eric and Jean

Reality is really as good as the photos!

A lovely villa that certainly grows on you after opening all the shutters so the interior can be seen in its best light - very clean, well furnished and a kitchen that is so well equipped - apart from the usual things one would expect, the presence of kitchen scales and a deep fat fryer were a veritable and unexpected find! Best to read all the notes and advice before doing anything ..................... to say more would be a huge personal embarrassment and do no credit to the quality of the information in the villa! Bedrooms are a very good size all with wardrobes and with brilliant beds that bring new meaning to the word comfort. Outside the table and chairs offer both sun and shade during the day and are ideal in the evening for drinks and meals. The swimming pool catches the sun for most of the day. Views to the back are stunning particularly in the evening with the last of the sun highlighting the slopes and trees. You pass a few villas on the way to Los Olivos, but none are really in view from the villa. Only a brisk 10 minute walk to the village of Los Romanes - great bread shop, a couple of small supermarkets that sell the essentials (and some surprising extras too) .............................. and don't forget the "kiosk" at the far end of the village (or the first place you see when you come from the other direction!) which certainly seems like a friendly meeting place. This is more than just another villa - it really is a home for the owners (Peter and Hazel) who spend six months of the year here. You will be hard pressed to find two more helpful and knowledgeable hosts - plenty of advice and help prior to our arrival which was really good. Peter's advice on how to play two holes at the Baviera Golf Club proved invaluable. A wonderful 14 days in a lovely villa that did everything that it said on the tin!

Great villa in a beautiful location

We had a fantastic stay! The villa is located in a beautiful region with stunning mountains and lakes and not far from the coast. The villa was very well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. The pool was lovely and a welcome break from the sunshine to cool down a bit. The villa was air conditioned throughout to a really high quality and I fear it would have been quick sticky without it. Los Romanes is a lovely small village with a great view over Lake Vinuela. It has all the basics - a small supermarket suitable for daily provisions, a bar/kiosk and a really great restaurant. Our children are older so we didn't really bother with the beach but we had some relaxing days at the villa and trips out to the Alhambra Palace, a hilltop town called Comares, and a stunning boardwalk along the Caminito del Ray - all within an hour/hour and a half drive. We also managed a slightly longer drive o Gibraltar. All in all one of the best villas we have stayed in!

Beautiful private villa, stunning views

We stayed at the villa with friends and two young children. The villa really has everything you need, and was a home from home, with fully equipped kitchen etc (it even has a washing machine!) It easily slept six of us, the beds were really comfortable. The lovely wooden shutters were amazing at keeping out the morning sun - so we all got a lie in! We ate outside all the time (although there is a large dining room) as the weather was beautiful and the views are amazing. The stone built BBQ was excellent, and really well used. There's a large supermarket 10 mins away, but we loved the fresh bread from the little shop in the village, which was cheap and stocked most essentials. The swimming pool was perfect, and the two children were in it all the time. We took days out to the beach just down the hill at Torre del Mar and further along at Nerja. Even in the summer holidays, it wasn't overcrowded. The village of Los Romanes itself is very pretty - you can walk to a wooden kiosk which looks over the lake and sells drinks at very reasonable prices. The steak house is also very good in the village (children were welcome everywhere we went). In all, we loved our stay at the villa. We would recommend it to any family or group of friends. Its a great location, and obviously very well cared for by the owners. We will return here for sure.

Perfect getaway, with stunning views of the hills and not to far from the Village

Thank you Peter and Hazel for the use of your lovely villa. The villa is equipped to a high standard with everything you could possibly need. The views from the terrace are lovely and we often watch the birds of prey in the late afternoon. The views of the Lake on the way to the villa are out standing!! The pool was a welcome break from the sun and the breeze was very pleasant so it never felt too hot. The local steak house in the village was fantastic and we had several visits to it. The Villa is not too far from the main road so site seeing was a must. Torre Del Mar was one of our favoirtie places. Everyone in the village was very friendly and the 2 shops had everything you could need. Hope to be back soon !
