Nicely Tucked Away Cottage

We welcome you to Nicely Tucked Away, a beautifully decorated and well-appointed two-bedroom home situated in the desirable location of Millbrook village. As the name suggests, this property is hidden away from sight, but only a few meters from the center of Millbrook village, with excellent local shops for all your everyday essentials.



The cottage comprises the entire south wing of Orchard House, secreted via a leafy canopy of ancient trees.



Nicely tucked away lies within the historic grounds of the original Manor House of the village, surrounded within private gardens and perimeter stone walls.



Step inside, into a large open plan living area, with opulent red Chesterfield sofas, large smart TV, arcade games, pool table. With free Wi-Fi included during your stay. Enjoy a fully fitted kitchen with use of a washing machine and dishwasher ideal for a self-catering stay.



With two spacious bedrooms which can accommodate up to four guests, the large super king master bedroom with walk-in dressing/wardrobe area overlooks the gardens. The second bedroom, a twin room with two full-size single beds, with garden views. (Bed guards, travel cots and highchairs available for younger visitors).



Nicely tucked away is a magical place to stay throughout the year. It comes with sophisticated underfloor central heating. A shower and bathroom on each floor. Adjacent to the dining room is the conservatory, garden dining area. Sun trap patio, and barbecue.



The Rame Head Peninsula is a quiet backwater, often described as Cornwall\'s \'forgotten corner,\' where you can avoid the busier hotspots of the County. The Rame peninsula remains true to its remote identity, and is an area of outstanding natural beauty and an area of special scientific interest. The coastal walks and seascape views on this peninsula are truly wonderful.



There is so much to do and see here. Visit the twin pretty villages and beaches of Cawsand and Kingsand, or walk to Penlee Point and Rame Head, with its 11th century monks\' chapel and enjoy stunning views to the glorious sandy beaches of Whitsand Bay, which is just a mile away.



The well-known ancient fishing villages of Looe and Polperro are only a few miles away by car. Overall, a great spot to explore for all ages!



Located on the Devon/Cornwall border, perfect for exploring all that the west country has to offer.

Spacious, spotlessly clean house at the back of the main house.

This was a great spot for our next section of the Southwest Coast Path. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and everything works well. It was a lovely touch to have a generous hamper of a cream tea on arrival.

Lovely house in quiet surroundings

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Beautiful spacious house, great bedroom with walk-in closet, fully equipped kitchen (everything is there), spacious garden with nice sitting area and all that in a quiet and peaceful environment. The house is attached to the owners' house, but complete privacy is guaranteed. A warm welcome makes it feel like home right away. The location is a perfect base for Plymouth, Looe, Polperro and the Pentire and Bedruthan Steps. Nothing.

We spent an enjoyable week in the cottage.

It was very warm and comfortable. We appreciated the large welcome basket. The cottage was very clean, the rooms spacious and the beds very comfortable. We enjoy walking and it was well situated for this, the coastal footpath at Cawsand is less than 2 miles away. The Rame Peninsula is beautiful, lovely sea views all around. The weather wasn't very good during our stay but we were always glad to come back after a long walk to a nice warm house. We would have no hesitation recommending it to friends.

The owners were friendly and helpful, the cottage is bright and spacious and the location is wonderful. The welcome basket is a lovely gesture and much appreciated. Having a white carpet throughout most of the cottage did make me feel a bit nervous and there were a few items in the cottage that we could not get to work like the space invaders game and the downstairs shower

Nicely tucked away Cottage was fabulous . Ideal for our family It is really lovely. The owners have decorated and furnished it beautifully Yet welcoming and comfortable We so enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to book again The kitchen could do with a few more utensils and cutlery was limited There were no spare bin bags or instructions where and what to do with the food waste bin But otherwise beautifully equipped

Clean, beautiful and comfortable accommodation in a very quiet location. Friendly host.

Host Rob met us, great communication. Very spacious and clean with everything that we needed. Lovely welcome basket with scones, jam, cream, bread and milk which we felt was a great touch. Very quiet location and comfortable beds. At first I thought it was odd that the twin bedroom had no bedside lamps but then realised that the little fans on the tables had a light. We shared with friends so felt that it was great value for money as opposed to staying in a hotel with less space and facilities. There wasn’t anything we disliked, just wish we could have stayed longer.

Just got back from the most amazing stay at "Nicely Tucked Away" in Millbrook, Cornwall, and I couldn't wait to share our experience! First off, the location is a winner. Right in the heart of Millbrook Village but feels like your own private hideaway, best of both worlds, close to everything you need yet perfectly peaceful. Rob and his family are great hosts. They made us feel so welcome and went out of their way to make our stay special. From awesome tips on local spots to visit to little surprises that made us smile, they really know how to make guests feel right at home. Whether you're after a romantic retreata family adventure, this place ticks all the boxes. Huge thanks to Rob and fam for making our stay unforgettable. We're already planning our next escape!

A return to birthplace....

Lovely little house and ideal for our needs. Well equipped, warm and comfortable. And for the returning Cornish the welcome basket including scones, jam and clotted cream was especially appreciated. As were the manuals for the TV and kitchen appliances! We have family in Millbrook and deeper into Cornwall so received several visitors. A small arrow sign or similar in the parking area indicating the way to the cottage's front door could save visitors having to disturb the owners for directions. We couldn't help guide our guests because of very poor cell coverage on O2 and EE. A stylish grab rail in the walk-in shower would also be welcomed by those not so steady on their feet.

A lovely time and a fun experience at the cottage.

The cottage was fantastic, with its comfortable furniture and bedding, top of the line kitchen facilities, fancy toiletries and the added fun additions such as the retro gaming system, the PS5, the wide-screen TV and the pool table really made us feel like we got our moneys worth. Also, the owners are some of the most friendliest people that I&#39ve ever had the pleasure of meeting any queries that needed to be askedassistance that was needed, they were always there to lend a hand 😃 We had trouble getting the shower on the ground floor to work ( which was an issue as we were in a rush to use it at the time). Also, I don&#39t think another streetlighttwo would hurt, especially on the road leading to the cottage ( it can be rather daunting to walk through during the night).

Stylish, peaceful and comfortable

Location was perfect for us as we are moving into the area. Hosts Rob and Jenna were exceptionally responsive and helpful, giving us access to the garden washing line for example and leaving a very thoughtful welcome hamper of goodies - ideal when you arrive tired The beds were hugely comfortable and even with all the windows open during the night, the location was very quiet and peaceful The kitchen was very well stocked and there wasn’t anything we missed during our stay that wasn’t already thought off. The pool table was a little wonky so will need attention The living room sofas were very stylish and excellent quality but a little hard so definitely not ones you could slouch on. The parking spaces are underneath trees which meant that the car was at the mercy of bird mess at times
