Our second stay in this comfortable, warm cottage. House is well equipped, has good WiFi and is only a 5 minute walk into town. While the house was clean, this time around it did smell a bit musty, although not a big deal breaker.

A beautiful old cottage in a stunning location, with a comfortable garden out the back (mind the low doorway). My second stay here, just as good. Extremely well equipped, very comfortable beds etc. Had a little difficulty with reliable hot water until we sussed out the magic Boost button, and the bird feeders could do with being replaced, but these are nitpicks. Most important, I rate cottages by: do they come with a tea strainer, and Scot Beck does.

The many gardens on the property were exquisitely cared for and so beautiful. The home owners were kind and friendly without being intrusive. The cottage was a delight to stay in and the cupcakes were also a delight to the eyes! I highly recommend this lovely place!!

Wonderful Oasis

Everything about Coppice was top shelf. Our welcome and introduction to the wonderful cottage, the explanation to the location and what was offered by the locale as well as how everything functioned within the cottage spot on. Gil and Barton were absolutely amazing and the cottage was one of the best stays that we’ve had. The cottage is warm and inviting it has all the necessities that one would need to have a wonderful and complete vacation. It’s location in the lake District makes it ideal for getting around. It was a wonderful and memorable stay. Thank you ever so much..

Perfect

We having been traveling throughout the UK for 6 months, staying at many places, and this apartment was one of our favorites! The apartment has an amazing view that never gets old, reserved parking, a great kitchen and lounge, and a great shower. The bed was one of the most comfortable we've slept in these many months. The balcony is a wonderful bonus. Ambleside is a very pleasant town to explore and call 'home'. It is also ideally situated. Keswick is too far north, Kendal too far south, and Windermere too frenetic. Ambleside is just right! Communication with the owner was great and we simply can't sing the praises of this apartment enough. We highly recommend it to anyone wishing to visit the Lake District.
