Una casa de campo de lujo 1 dormitorio, reformado y actualizado regularmente, en los terrenos de Rough Cerrar Casa, separado de la casa principal por un patio. El alojamiento es para 2 adultos. Hay amplio, fácil aparcamiento en la calle.
Los visitantes pueden disfrutar de los jardines y también pueden ver los Ospreys que anidan en Esthwaite Water. Su nido se puede ver desde el salón Coppice, por lo general se quedan entre principios de abril y finales de agosto. Hubo dos parejas de anidación diferentes y cada una tuvo 3 pollitos el verano pasado.

Our second stay at The Coppice. Again we found it clean, comfortable and homely. It is extremely well-equipped, very spacious and well-placed for touring the region. The owners are very friendly and approachable and we would certainly recommend for a stay in the Lakes.

Wonderful place to stay

The Coppice is a cosy, comfortable cottage with generous rooms for two, an outstanding location, and generous hosts, Geoff and Gill. We were so fortunate to see the osprey every day and sunshine too. A wonderful place to stay.

Beautiful accommodation in an idyllic setting. Host were very welcoming and made us feel at home. I would highly recommend this accommodation.Only thing to be aware of is the area can be very busy and parking can be difficult and expensive.Very narrow country lanes are challenging when driving around.

What a find. The cottage was perfect, bigger than it looked in the photos and very clean. A lot of thought has gone into this cottage to make it homely and it contained everything you could possibly need, a real home from home. Our hosts Gill and Geoff were lovely and there if you needed any local information. The area is beautiful and although the weather was not very good it did not stop us from getting out and about everyday. We would certainly look to book this cottage again. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

A hidden Gem

We had a wonderful stay here , such a beautiful cottage with all you need , I loved it . Ideally located to visit all the lakes , I would definitely recommend it and I will certainly visit again in the summer months

Wonderful!

We had a fantastic stay at this gem of an apartment! The location was perfect, just a stones throw away from stunning lakes and charming villages. The apartment itself was beautifully furnished, immaculately clean and super cosy. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and informative. We can’t wait to return.

Excellent in every respect

We were only staying for 2 nights but would like to go back to stay a week next time. Very comfortable and spacious accommodation for two; with 4 good-sized rooms (including the bathroom) it is larger than it appears from the outside. Beautiful situation and I would imagine some good areas for walking nearby although we didn't have time to explore.

Gorgeous little cottage

From the warm greeting to the fresh flowers in the lounge, our arrival at the cottage was great. The accommodation had everything you could need and was clean and comfortable. Geoff and Gill were hospitable without being in any way obtrusive, we definitely felt at home right away. The location was superb and we didn't seem to need to venture very far away to find excellent walks, access to the lakes for our canoe and lovely dinners out. A great place to stay all round, we will be back.

Coppice retreat

This is a fantastic cottage which we have stayed at previously. It is just outside of the village of Hawkeshead lovely and peaceful and only a short walk to the village and a great location for a base to visit local areas such as Conniston, Ambleside and Windemere. The owners are lovely and really helpful if you need anything. I would certainly book this cottage again.

Peace and quiet.

Having retired, we are still excited to be able to live in the heart of the Lake District in a beautiful location. We have worked in the area for over 30 years and have a background in sport and outdoor pursuits, so we know how to enjoy it and where to go, even pubs and coffee shops!

Knowing the Lake District very well we looked over the whole of the area before choosing Rough Close because of it's fantastic setting between Grizedale forest and Esthwaite Water. It is a beautiful location in any weather and at any time of year.

It is quiet and picturesque, yet very close Hawkshead and central to some of the Lake Districts' finest and most famous visitor attractions. The Coppice has been luxuriously updated and is maintained to to a high standard. It is very spacious and will certainly help you to make the best of your stay in the Lake District.
