About this property

Charming Apartment in Tuscany Historical Villa close to Florence

Loggia is one of five apartments in Villa il Paradisino. A 16th Century Historical Estate, we are also a working farm with 15 acres of ancient olive groves, luscious vineyards, fruit and vegetable orchards as well as romantic gardens to explore or sit back and watch the world go by. A family-run enterprise, nestled on the edge of Florence.

LOGGIA (100 sq meters),
A particularly beautiful and charming apartment situated on the first floor. It comprises a vast living room (36 sq mt) with a grand, stone fireplace and kitchen. The bedroom has an elegant, wrought iron, four poster bed, a single bed and a large bathroom with shower and tub. If you need extra beds there is a very comfortable double sofa bed in the living room. The whole space has classic Tuscan ceilings of ancient wooden rafters as well as floors of antique Florentine terracotta tiles.

It is the only one of our apartments to have an elevated balcony, providing panoramic views of the grounds and a perfect place to have breakfast, relax in the shade or share an aperitivo.

Only 6 km from the city centre , the villa is the ideal location to explore both the historical sites of the city and Tuscany’s beautiful countryside that surrounds it. But our place is more than just a base, here you can have a unique experience in a Renaissance family home, enjoy the food and wine we produce and learn how to cook our family recipes.

Not only are we 15 minutes by train from the historical centre of Florence but also a stone’s throw from the Tuscan hills and within easy reach of Chianti, Lucca, Pisa and Tuscany’s other marvels. And should you wish to go further afield Rome, Venice and the Cinque Terre are all possible day trips. We are lucky to have excellent public transport links and should you wish, you can enjoy your stay here without the use of a car.

Sesto Fiorentino has all the facilities you would want from a small Italian town; excellent cafes, gourmet restaurants, traditional trattorias, banks, pharmacies and doctor’s clinic. The Villa is like an oasis, once you step into the property you are transported into the Tuscany’s countryside and its rich agricultural past. We are just 20 minutes from Florence airport and within easy access of both Bologna and Pisa airports.

Absolutely paradise
Just thrilled I found this place. It is about a 15 minute walk from the train station through the quiet little town. (FYI, no taxis at the train station, so you may need to plan ahead if that is an issue for you) The property is lovely - a lovely oasis of olive trees, grapevines, and lovely flowers. My kids loved the ping-pong table, and we spent a surprisingly long time just watching the fireflies! The apartment is very large and quite beautiful. Very comfortable beds with high quality sheets, and tons of pillows. Enormous bathroom with a rainfall shower and plenty of huge towels. The grocery is an easy walk, and the apartment has plenty of pots/pans and dishes/glasses if you plan to eat meals there. They also serve breakfast but we didn't have a chance to partake. The staff is all SO nice and it is clear that they love this property and their guests. Thank you for letting us enjoy it for a few days as well!

Ciao a tutti!
I'm Costanza and I'm born in Florence and live here with my partner Knut who is Norwegian and our wonderful little viking Leonard.
I love cooking, agriculture, nature and meeting new people from all over the world :-).
I have always breathed a wonderful atmosphere in the big kitchen, around the marble table where my grandmothers and grandfathers were used to cook together delicious meals.
I have a degree in Agricultural sciences and technologies from the University of Florence.
Me and my sister Serena give cooking classes teaching Florentine cuisine. Serena prepare wonderful vegetarian and vegan meal for our guests and she is a Naturopath. Knut is a food and wine lover and he exports hand made italian food to Norway.
My father all around the Villa has a wonderful little farm that provide fresh vegetables, fruit, herbs and eggs to our guests: he is passionate with agriculture, history and arts.
My mother coordinates all of us...she is our "shining sun".
We'ld love to meet you!

Why they chose this property

What makes this property unique

People that are passionate with garden, agriculture, locally produced food and wine, with arts and history and that are looking for authentic Tuscany will be happy to be our guests.
We' ll be happy to serve you breakfast and dinners made by the best natural ingredients from our garden and local organic farmers.
We have a Reception that provide assistance to our guests to help them with their daily program: we are here for you!
We are a nice place also for family reunions and children are very welcome to enjoy the pool the garden, giving food to the ducks and chickens, playing with our dog, taking cooking classes and participating to our pizza parties: a marathon of Taste around a XVI century wood burning oven.
Your vacation in Florence will be a memory of a life time.
