Great Location but needs some cleaning

The location of the VRBO was incredible. It was centrally located to everything in the west end. The issue was the VRBO could use a deep cleaning. The walls had drip stains down them, the carpet was in pretty poor stained condition, and everything was pretty beat up. Both bathrooms had a radiator towel heater in them that we couldn’t get to turn off. This made the bathrooms heat up to 28 degrees C. Which in turn made the apartment extremely warm.

We stayed here the first week of June 2025. The location was close to where we wanted to be, but the apartment's condition was a great disappointment. The primary floor with both bedrooms and bathrooms is carpeted. The carpeting, in a word, is disgusting. There is dirt / mud ground into each area you walk and see. It needs to be torn up and thrown out - not even close. The cute couch pictured on the terrace floor had a blanket thrown over it. When we lifted the blanket we were surprised to find stains that came from where I can only imagine. It too needs to be thrown out. The glasses in the cupboard had lipstick on them (one picture below). There were (as another guest noted) stains on the wall. The layout was less than ideal -- the bedrooms are on the primary floor and the kitchen and living room were on the floor above. The process for picking up the keys was odd, difficult, and not revealed until you arrived. We had to walk about 500 meters to a shop / convenience store near the underground and show the clerk a code on my phone. He then handed me the keys. Who is he? I don't know. The host was responsive when I WhatsApp'd with them. There is an absolutely wonderful cafe directly next door to the apartment. I spent several hours there to escape the apartment.
