Perfection

We traveled with my mom. The Palisade Palms was the perfect place to stay. The property is beautiful with almost private access to the beach. The sunrises were beautiful. The pool area is spectacular. This condo on the 15th floor had amazing views of the bay. We spend hours watching the ships coming in and out. Stocked with everything we needed. Host was easy to work with and responded quickly to questions. We look forward to another trip to Galveston and staying at this fabulous condo.

Condo review

The main thing I was disappointed in was the cleanliness of the condo. There was puboc hair in the bathtub and toilet, I could tell the floors had not been properly cleaned by the amount of dust and hair on them. There was also notable dust on furniture. For the cost, I expected it to be cleaner.

Birding in December

Nice birding from our bay view unit. Second bedroom was pretty small with no closet usage. Kitchen was nice as were the washer and dryer. All the guests we happened to meet were friendly and helpful.

Perfect location, beautiful facility

This was our third year in the same unit. The facility is perfect for our group consisting of a toddler, a great grandmother and parents in between. We love the pools and easy beach access and of course the playroom. This end of the island is definitely our speed. We love how quiet the beach and area is. Will very likely return a fourth year!

We loved this condo & Palisade Palms

Condo was clean. Everything worked as it should. The condo is spacious with an Amazing view of the Bay. The pool was great. Our kids enjoyed having a PS3 and a Xbox 360 to play in between swimming /tanning and enjoying our favorite places to eat in Galveston.

Well worth it!

Beautiful well kept & clean condo right on the beach! Owner provides everything you can think of. (Beach tent, boogie boards, sand toys, pool noodles, basketballs, towels) Beach chairs provided by the building. Kitchen fully stocked with pots and pans. Kids loved all the building amenities (24hr fitness & game room), pool area open till 1am perfect for late night swimming. Feels very private & secure, away from the crowds but still close enough to drive or walk on the beach to the seawall. We definitely enjoyed our stay and will recommend this place to all our friends & family looking to visit Galveston.

Great place with lots of amenities!

We had 4 adults and 2 kids. The condo was spacious and comfortable. Easy beach access and the place has a pool and hot tub access that was never too full even at spring break. The beach is clean too! Our kids didn't want to use the sleeper sofa and since there weren't curtains on the living room windows they would have been awake early. But there were air mattresses with sheets that allowed us to put them in other places. Beach towels and beach toys available were great for the kids! We would definitely stay again.

Great unit with a ship channel and city view

This is a spacious and well maintained unit. We own a unit in this building and the amenities are great! It is very safe and has a great pool, covered parking, fitness center and 24 hour staffed front desk. My family enjoyed their stay the week of Christmas. We would rent this unit again for our overflow guests.

A great return visit!

We visited Galveston for the fourth year in a row and the second time to this property. We are already planning to return again next year. This is a great place for our three year old. The pools are shallow and so fun he also loves to visit the playroom each morning before most of the family wakes up. Our 86 year old grandma does well in this property too! Great reviews from all.

Wonderful stay at Palisade Palms

This is our 3rd time staying at the Palisade. We love this condo because of its amenities, private beach and how close it is to all the things we like to do in Galveston. Our condo was just what we were looking for. The owner had everything we needed including extra beach toys, boogie boards and even buckets and flashlights for late night crab hunting. We really enjoyed our stay and will for sure be back next summer!

East Beach delight

This unit is located in a twin tower condominium on the east beach of Galveston. The balcony faces the bay with an endless parade of interesting ships in the channel, and high enough to avoid the mosquitos. We were able to play pickleball, pool, shuffleboard and swim in the gulf via the nearby beach. Also found nearby cycling on quiet and safe roads. the unit is clean and quiet except for two days of lawn maintenance below, with the drone of leafblowers all over the property. Our host was pleasant and responsive. We would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Loved our stay, would stay again!

My husband and I and our 2 kids (4 and 2 years old) have stayed at the palisades a few times and loved it. It was our first time in this unit. This unit was nicely maintained with very comfortable beds. A wonderful surprise that came with the unit was the beach tent! It fit on our wagon and made the day very nice on the sand. The kids loved seeing all the ships go past from the balcony. One of the reasons we love the palisades is how kid friendly they are with the playground, indoor playroom, and kid pool. The only suggestion I have would be for some sun shades on the living room windows. The glare was so bright we couldn’t see the tv during the day. But there were tvs in the bedrooms and those rooms have shades, so it all worked out. :) We would definitely stay here again!

I think there are better choices for the rate

I’m general the condo was not very well cleaned. Sheets on pullout bed were dirty. found they had food and dirt in them. Found a used BandAid on one of the pillows. Dishes were dirty, look like someone had them in dish washer and never started them and then put them up in the cabinets. Almost none of the tv remotes had batteries in them. If we wanted to use something other than the cable this made it impossible to do. The internet was pretty poor, wasn’t strong enough to stream or do the work I needed to do from my room on my laptop. The network for the internet is hidden, just in general a pain to deal with, just make the network discoverable so all the lessee has to do is put in the password, it’s not that serious guys. The pullout couch wasn’t very comfortable so we were going to try and use the blowup mattress that was here for the kids but it had a hole in it so that was useless. The rental add said there was an electric grill on the patio but that wasn’t the case. I did notice some other units had these but my unit did not. Great location and nice facility, well insulated rooms and great beach access. Pools and hot tubs were nice. Common facilities such as game room were nice. Not quite worth the money in my opinion giveN things mentioned above when there are many other options in Galveston.

Perfect beach getaway

We had a fantastic week. Traveling with an 85 year old and a two year old can be challenging, but this property had the perfect accommodations for both of them and us in the middle too. Our toddler loved the play room and the pool was shallow enough that he could enjoy himself all day. We prefer this end of the island and enjoyed lots of local restaurants. Access to the beach was very easy and what a beautiful almost private space! Would definitely return.

Palisades Palms “Excellent” - Condo itself “Ok”

Beds very comfortable; however this condo can really only handle 4 people max. Not enough seating in main room or on patio (only 2 chairs). Housekeeping cleanliness was not great upon arrival and kitchen missing some normal kitchen items. Needs paint touch up on walls and baseboards. That said, Palisade Palms is fantastic 5 star property. We have stayed there 3 other times in very nice condos and greatly enjoyed this property.

Galveston vacation

We enjoyed the area we were close to many attractions. The property is pretty and the pool is beautiful the beach was quite a hall. It's a bit longer journey then we had intisapated but the beach was nice. There were afew issues in the condo that the owner was on top of. it was just an inconvenience if we wanted to wait for maintenance to help with. also the cleaning crew for what they charge were lacking in their service there was a cleaning towel left in the shower the shower gel was left empty the conditioner dispenser didn't work the electric grill was left dirty which didn't matter because we couldn't use it do to some sort of electrical issue that tripped the outlet. The view of the gulf that we expect was not to be. You cannot see it from this condo! And the view to the bay was blocked due to some scaffolding cables that were hanging in front of the building that were never used our intire stay. A little disappointed for the price but overall it was a good vacation.

Lovely condo

We just stayed 6 nights at this lovely condo and would definitely do it again!!! The resort and condo has everything you could want or need.

Great Condo!

This codo was everything that we had hoped for. The location right on the beach was great and views from the unit were amazing. The building is kept very clean with maintenance and cleaning people constantly on duty. We had one minor plumbing problem that we reported to the concierge and maintenance men arrived within minutes. They, along with the owner, had the problem solved quickly with no inconvience to us. We would love to stay here again.
