Our rental is a sweet log cabin located right at Powder Mountain Ski Resort, where you put your skis on at the front door! The cabin is one of 20 mountain homes located right above the resort parking lot.
Our host will snowmobile you, your guests and your gear to the cabin. Since the roads are not plowed here, it keeps the atmosphere truly a winter wonderland. Views of night skiing, sunsets, sunrises and the valley below will provide a beautiful backdrop for your apres ski or morning routine. It is very easy to ski home for a homemade lunch (via the NEW Lightening Ridge Lift) and dry your clothes in the dryer, if it has been a very cold or wet ski day, so that the afternoon will be more comfortable. If part of your party does not want to ski all day, it is no problem for your group to split up without leaving some people waiting in a lodge.
This cabin was built by us for skiing! Also included is a boot and glove dryer system that will accomodate 4 pairs of boots and gloves that guarantees dry gear in the morning. Ski-in, ski-out means no driving or getting gear on in parking lots. Stock up on your groceries before you arrive and there will be no need to get in your car until you have to go home.
Location is everything and this cabin truly lets you forget about the stress of everyday life and simply lets you enjoy the beauty of the mountains.

The place had about 300 moths in it. There was mold and spider webs everywhere. It’s a brutal walk to and from the resort, which wasn’t mentioned. The toilets are old and overflowed on us.

I was in contact with Kyle many times during his stay & they had a great time & wanted to re-book. They evidently had an issue with a toilet that they let run all night and did not report the issue to us until the next day at 12:45 when our host showed up to shuttle them down on the snowmobile. He also failed to adhere to any of the check out procedures and left the cabin in quite a mess. When I discussed this with him he became quite irate and I told him we cannot welcome him back. In the 15 years of renting we've never had anyone not comply with check out procedures and be respectful of this very special property. Our bathrooms work perfectly as we arrived very shortly after Kyle's departure & stayed in our cabin for over a month.
Our cabin is described as snowmobile shuttle in & out and located in a community that does not plow our roads. We are not a boutique hotel, but a cabin designed for hardy skiers/boarders who want to be on the mountain and not drive up & down the canyon road.

Wonderful
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful ski cabin. The cabin itself is beautiful. It is comfortably appointed and the view is stunning. Our host was warm, friendly and went above and beyond to answer our questions and make sure we were comfortable. We highly recommend this to any couple, family or group of friends looking for a relaxing mountain get away. We will certainly be back.
We had a great stay at this Powder Mountain cabin. The snow was less than great this year but we still managed to have a great time. Communication with our host was great. Melinda made sure to help us get set up and checked in throughout our stay. I have only rented about 5 VRBO’s and this was by far the best equipped kitchen I have encountered. The knives were actually sharp!!! We even grilled steaks on the grill one cold night. Skiing out to Timberline lift in the mornings is easy to figure out. You can get back to the house via the Lightning Ridge lift or take a shuttle to the Sundown lift. I wish this had been explained somewhere in the cabin and we ended up walking back on the first day. It’s a tough walk. Great little cabin for a relaxing ski vacation.
This is a great cabin at Powder Mountain. It has a great outdoor deck overlooking the ski runs. We had two families of three, and the cabin accommodated all of us comfortably. The kitchen works great and it has a small outdoor bbq. We would definitely stay here again.
We really enjoyed our visit to PowMow. The house was perfectly located, easy to ski out and start off the day. Everything you need for a fun get away with the family. Thank you.
I stayed with my kids for four nights and skied three days. The house is gorgeous, homey and has everything you could need. The rides to and from the house were a little off because the caretakers snow machine was broken but he found someone to fill in. Also to ski back in you need to take a bus to the sundown lift then a traversing cat track its no big deal once you figure it out. The ski out in the morning is pristine down to paradise!
Perfect house and location ifor a skiing family during covid restrictions. Having a house that was slope accessible meant that we could all come and go as we pleased. With the ‘on mountain’ restaurants and bathrooms being restricted access, house access was most convenient! The ski out was easy down a short catwalk or, a short hike up for some powder runs and a cliff jump. The ski in was along a gentle catwalk which required a little poling but not difficult.
Access and groceries were a little tricky but easily sorted with a short trip down the valley and a short hike from the parking area. The snow mobile service on arrival was nice for luggage.
House is eclectic and fun. Kitchen is well appointed. Only disappointment was the hot tub not working but, to be fair, that was not offered in the write up.
A cool experience, beautiful views of mountains and Sundown ski lift, lit up for night skiing. We will definitely be back for more!! Powder mountain is the way skiing should be!
We spent seven days at the cabin and had the best time! The cabin makes you feel at home immediately, all the relevant amenities are provided. The shuttle-in and out was super smooth thanks to Justin, the amazing host. The cabin is ski-out to the Timberline lift, ans ski-in from Sundown via the Slowpoke trail, with only 2 minutes of walking for ski-in. We will definitely come back!
Perfect cabin for fully enjoying the magic of Powder Mountain. Clean, excellent location, friendly check-in staff (Justin), good communication from owner and great amenities.
Fully recommend this place and will look to stay here again!

Thank you Chad! Sorry I didn't get a chance to speak with you while you were on mountain...I trust the snow Gods were good to you!
My family and I came over to this lovely cabin for the Christmas Holiday and had such a great time. Melinda is so kind and accommodating, the host Justin, is super friendly and helpful. My kids (ages 8 & 11) absolutely loved taking the snowmobile up to the cabin. It was so cozy and relaxing. Can not wait to come back!

Cabin is Fantastic
The cabin itself is beautiful. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stoked. The snow mobile ride in and out of the cabin was exciting. The only down side is it is hard to ski back to the cabin. It is quite a long walk from the nearby ski trail back to the cabin door. Skiing out is fine though.

Beautiful cabin, excellent location, and amazing snow
Myself and three friends stayed at this beautiful cabin for 5 nights and had a wonderful time. The cabin is beautiful and spacious with plenty of room to relax after a long day of skiing. The cabin is not accessible by car, but that was not a problem at all. It adds to the charm and the snowmobile ride in/out was a lot of fun. The parking lot is only a short walk away if you need your car (10min), but if you bring enough groceries you will not need your car until the end of your trip. The cabin is ski in/ski out and is fantastic! The mountain hosts/neighbors who took care of us during our stay were great and incredibly friendly.
Location-->The cabin is easily accessible from Salt Lake City and the drive from the airport is very scenic--we saw several moose along the road. I would strongly advise listening to the cabin owners/Powder Mountains advice regarding the necessity of a four wheel drive vehicle in winter--we rented a 2WD vehicle at first (without chains) and it was a little difficult to dig the car out of 17 inches of powder. We traded the car in for a four wheel drive the next day and everything was fine (we should have listened in the first place!)
Mountain-->Great skiing and snow. We had 17 inches of powder during our stay! Greatly exceeded my expectations.
I highly recommend this cabin and will hopefully have the opportunity to stay here again in the future. I have stayed at other ski in/ski out locations in Jackson Hole, WY, Steamboat Springs, CO, and in the North East and this cabin is my favorite BY FAR.

Pow-Mow WOW Cabin
This authentic hand built log cabin was amazing! Super great Owner & host that made our stay very enjoyable! Everything was as advertised, clean, and comfortable! Having been to Powder Mtn. before and having stayed in Eden the last time, this has changed everything. The joy of near mountain top views, fresh air, walk to powder turns(sort of ski in & out access) really made this location unique. We look foward to staying at this very cute & comfortable cabin next year. Extra bonus was "Spikey", the loveable porqupine neighbor that we had the joy of meeting. If you have dogs (not sure if allowed), please be cautious of this potential dog saftey hazard!
I highly recommend this place if you are up for the adventure of Powder Mountain!

The place to be in a snowstorm! Warm, spacious and inviting.
Our family had a week in the lovely Log cabin in January and can claim that we were the ones who brought the long awaited snow with us! It was a great week, although we would have preferred to be there the week after the few feet of snow had fallen, rather than during it - but that is ski holidays for you!
The cabin is 3 levels, with a bedroom on each level, and the master bedroom being a mezzanine level above the living area. We were treated super well by the neighbours who ferried us, our food, ski gear and belongings to and from the shuttle pick up on snow mobiles to the house. This was especially appreciated on our last day, in a pretty full on snow storm, when we had to leave a day early to make sure we could get our flight back to Australia.
Skiing at Powder Mountain was fantastic. We loved the laid back resort and fantastic runs and would love to return in spring sometime. A bit more warmth would suits us better. Some days were bitterly cold, but it was always wonderful to return to the Cabin and enjoy a warm bath and some chill out time.
Thank You...Powder Mountain was a real find and a highlight of our holiday.

Good property no Snow
The pictures reflected the actual property and the condition of the property was great. The place was cozy and a wonderful holiday spot for someone who wants on mountain accommodation especially so kids can enjoy the outside. The only that lacked was the snow!
About the host
Hosted by Melinda Clark
We started skiing the utah powder in the late 1970's and after moving to Hawaii in 1981 it was or dream to have our own slice of Powder Paradise as well. We visited the ogden Valley area in 1997 and bought property at Powder Mountain to build our ski cabin without ever seeing snow on the mountain or ever skiing Powder Mountain.....we just had a good feeling about it!
Why they chose this property
My husband John built this beautiful swedish cope log cabin in 1998 to fulfill our dream of having our very own ski cabin. We have thoroughly enjoyed every minute we have at our cabin during winters & summers alike.
What makes this property unique
The best thing about our cabin is the location, especially in the winter. The fact that we do not have to drive to ski is huge! No piling in the car with all your gear, cold boots in the parking lot or driving home all tired from your epic day on the slopes. Enjoy your Apres ski & gourmet meals right at the cabin surrounded by antique winter gear and enjoying the view of night skiing! The summer offers the best wildlife viewing right from the lanai!
