For beach lovers, award-winning spots like Blackpool Sands and Bantham are nearby, perfect for sunny days spent swimming, surfing or picnicking on golden sand. Just five minutes away, the ever-popular Woodlands Leisure Park provides all-day fun for families, while those seeking a more laid-back outing can explore the lovely village pubs nearby, such as The Old Inn at Halwell and The New Inn at Moreleigh.

Dating back almost 300 years, Ritson Farm blends rich history with modern comfort. Once a traditional Devon farmhouse, it now stands as a beautifully updated haven for those seeking authentic countryside stays with space to breathe and room to gather.

Step inside and you'll feel instantly at home. The welcoming entrance hall sets the tone, featuring a unique display of old keys mounted on a piece of 14th century oak. The heart of the home is a generous country kitchen, complete with a gas Rayburn and modern appliances, ideal for preparing hearty breakfasts or evening feasts. The conservatory offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, making it the perfect spot to watch the changing light over the fields, whatever the weather.

The cosy sitting room, bathed in natural light, leads through patio doors to the garden, while a practical utility room ensures everything you need is close to hand. Every room showcases the craftsmanship of the owner, a talented carpenter, from a kitchen island made from a locally sourced chestnut tree to windows salvaged from Dartmouth’s Lower Ferry.

Ritson Farm sleeps up to ten guests in comfort, offering flexible sleeping arrangements across five bedrooms. One double bedroom is conveniently located on the ground floor with its own ensuite. Upstairs, you'll find one king, two double bedrooms, and a spacious room that can be set up as either a super king or twin, perfect for children or friends sharing. Whether you're travelling with extended family or a group of friends, the layout works beautifully for all ages.

The large garden is one of the highlights of this property. With a spacious patio, BBQ, and outdoor dining area for ten, it's made for alfresco summer meals. The lawn stretches along the house, edged by colourful flower beds, and opens to breathtaking views of the Devon countryside. Watch birds flock to the feeders or say hello to the donkeys and chickens in the neighbouring field, a countryside detail that delights guests of all ages.

Parking:
Private parking for up to four cars as well as an EV charging point. Please note, you would have to supply your own charging cable and there is an honesty box to leave money towards the use of the electricity.
