I’m Darcey, originally from England, but I’ve been lucky to call both Hermosa and San José home for many years thanks to my family here. Surfing is my passion, and this house is especially close to my heart because it gives me the easiest access to Hermosa’s waves. I’ve been hosting for three years, looking after a variety of luxury villas in the area, and it’s a real pleasure to now share this beautiful home with guests.

I chose this area because it feels like home. My family is here, my closest friends are nearby, and there’s always a great energy in the air. The waves are consistent year-round, which makes it perfect for an early surf before breakfast. I love that I can walk to the beach in minutes, yet be just a short drive from town for great food, coffee, and a lively atmosphere. It’s the best of both worlds—laid-back beach life with everything you need close by.

What makes Ocean Eye special is how it’s surrounded by jungle yet only a short walk to Playa Hermosa. The bedrooms all have glass doors that open to the views, letting in the morning light and fresh air, but you can close them up and enjoy cool, air-conditioned comfort when you want it. The property is fully gated for privacy and has its own parking, plus a concierge to help with anything from booking surf lessons to organising transport.
It’s the perfect mix of seclusion, comfort, and easy access to the beach and town.
