Our renovated one-bedroom suite (sleeps 2-5 people), captures the refined style of tropical Hawaii and offers fully equipped kitchen, separate living area, private lanai (balcony) and in-suite washer/dryer for 'at home' convenience. If you’re interested in something larger, ask about an upgrade opportunity.
Guests of the Kaanapali Shores can also enjoy our Garden Pool (ideal for kids) and Ocean Pool and Beach Club Restaurant. Also available are two lighted tennis courts, a pickle ball court, a fitness/massage center, two jet spas, complimentary scuba lessons, kid’s camp and the beach! The Beach Club Restaurant and lounge overlooks the pool and the blue Pacific Ocean and has a menu of contemporary Island cuisine and “family style” prices. Located within the lobby are a salon, sundries & beach apparel stores. Fine shops, galleries, and restaurants are also nearby.
We have both Garden and Ocean Views available.

The beach/shorelines in the islands does vary with the seasons. Winter tends to erode them pretty dramatically in spots and the tides shift so that by the end of summer they are normally at a peak. One of the broadest stretches of sand is right next door fronting Honua Kai but the swimming in that area has a fair amount of exposed coral, especially in the winter months. I appreciate your comments and hopefully the details I am including here will be helpful for planning future island visits. Lost our reservation but upgraded room
Originally booked the 1 bed, 1 bath room but we spent 2 hours trying to check in. VRBO didn't send over the reservation to the hotel. Luckily, the hotel upgraded the room to a 2 bed, 2 bath room which was great.

Glad the resort upgraded you. They should have as the missing reservation was on the hotel and not VRBO. They found it the next day and advised me they were holding the wrong arrival date. Mistakes can happen but how they are made right is so important. Glad to know they did so.
I was also delighted to speak with you and hope you and your bride will come and visit us on Maui again....at least once a year...right!!!

The property is awesome. In fact, this particular unit is also beautiful.
Koa wood futrniture. Nice TV. Even though it says "garden" you can actually see the ocean.
But the VRBO owner is completely useless. I tried on multiple occasions to get in touch, change adjust reservations and they were completely unresponsive. Once you put in your credit card number you are on the hook.
The property is managed by Aston, and they do a great job. But since you are booking through a private property management company your only recourse it to email..... and I barely got a response. 10+ reach outs, one response.....
Again , no issue with the unit. Just the customer service.
