Acerca de este alojamiento
Crowrach - sleeps 7 guests in 3 bedrooms
A detached barn conversion forming part of the larger Crowrach Farm, Crowrach Uchaf is teeming with countryside character - think thick stone walls, slate floors and log-burning stoves. Outside, 360-degree views of mountains, ocean, and rolling green fields await, while the inside is a contemporary and comfortable retreat.
Ground floor
Kitchen
The heart of the spacious ground floor is the kitchen, which is a light and bright space equipped with a range oven, American-style fridge-freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and a microwave. There is also a small seating area with a wooden table for any quick snacks or food prep.
Sitting Room
Through the kitchen at the far end of the cottage, a comfortable sitting room beckons with a log burner, Smart TV and French doors that provide a gorgeous glimpse of the blue waters off Abersoch's main beach.
Dining Room
On the other side of the kitchen, a dining room features a traditional farmhouse dining set and hillside views.
Bedroom 1
At the other end of the cottage, the bedrooms and bathroom are conveniently adjacent to the entrance hall. Bedroom one is the master superking room with a comfortably cushioned headboard, wardrobe and chest of drawers. It can also be set up as a twin with prior arrangement.
Bedroom 2
Bedroom two is an equally comfortable space with a king-size bed, chest of drawers and inspiring views of the surrounding countryside.
Family Bathroom 1
A spacious family bathroom features a shower, WC and basin with a separate bathtub perfect for post-surf soaks and pre-bedtime baths.
Shower room
An additional separate shower room features a loo, basin and shower.
Hallway
A charming entrance hall boasts original stonework, stunning slate floors and ample space for hanging coats and storing sandy shoes.
First Floor
Bedroom 3
A converted attic room complete with original timber beams is home to three comfortable single beds, making it a charming sleepover space for any younger guests in your party. Any fully-grown guests staying in this bedroom should take care with the sloping ceiling and beams.
Outside
The outside area at Crowrach Uchaf is the real show-stopper. Encircled by ancient dry stone walls and banks coated in vivid green ferns, the converted barn boasts plenty of parking space and awe-inspiring views. At the rear of the property, a private decking area is equipped with outdoor dining furniture and is the ultimate sun trap. Beyond that, a wild lawn area invites you to admire the sparkling sea views of Abersoch, Porth Neigwl and Cardigan Bay.
The Local Area
Crowrach Uchaf is perfectly placed for discovering Abersoch and the surrounding beaches, towns and villages. To reach the village centre of Abersoch on foot, we suggest heading straight down the lane from the cottage, past the entrance to Beach View Caravan Park, keeping left to continue straight until you reach Machroes Beach. Here, you can either walk along the beach into Abersoch at low tide or follow the coastal path instead. Once you're in the village centre, there are plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and pubs to enjoy - don't miss the sweet treats and good coffee on offer at Two Islands, or the moreish Mexican food at Mañana.
For surfing, you're only a short journey from two of North Wales' most popular surf beaches. Porth Ceiriad, which can only be accessed via a sloping walk and a series of steps from the car park, less than 0.5 miles from the front door of Crowrach, while Porth Neigwl (Hell's Mouth) is 2.5 miles. Surf hire, lessons, and other watersports essentials can be organised with Abersoch Watersports, West Coast Surf or Offaxis in the village.
Another coastal village well worth visiting during your stay is Aberdaron. Perched close to the edge of the Llyn Peninsula where the land reaches out towards Ireland, Aberdaron is a charming community complete with a pub, bakery, beautiful beach and even a wood-fired sauna overlooking the sea. There is a National Trust car park at the centre of the village, making it easy to visit.
