2A Water Street, a ground-floor apartment in Bakewell, consists of a dining kitchen with gas oven, gas hob, microwave, undercounter fridge with freezer compartment, toaster, kettle, and coffee machine, a dining table for six, and a sitting room with Smart TV and woodburning stove. The bedrooms include a double and a double with single bunk above, serviced by a bathroom with shower over bath. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Two small to medium well-behaved dogs welcome, but sorry, no smoking. Shop, pub, and river 0.1 mile; lake 1.4 miles. 2A Water Street is a fantastic base for exploring Bakewell and the Peak District. Please no shows in the property. Please note: The property is not suited to people with limited mobility issues due to relatively steep staircase. There is an old 17th- century market hall in the town centre and a modern leisure centre with swimming pool nearby. Bakewell is situated within the Peak District National Park and is ideally placed for exploring this beautiful region. Both the rugged Dark Peak and the softer limestone White Peak are within easy reach, and Alton Towers, Britain’s premier theme park, is only a short drive away. There are many stately homes to visit including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, and Hardwick Hall to mention just a few, while the impressive caverns in nearby Castleton and Little John’s burial place in Hathersage are also well worth a visit. Take a trip to Buxton and visit the impressive Edwardian Opera House, designed by Frank Matcham, who also designed the London Palladium.
