Formerly Covert's Moose Lodge, which was built in 2002, was created with families and hunters in mind. We have only used the lodge for visiting guests and never lived in as a regular home. It is located on the end of a quiet road in a tranquil valley consisting of open meadows, hills, and a large pond.

Relax in front of the gas fireplace or sit out on the deck or relax in the hot tub and enjoy the view of the hills, ponds, and wildlife.

The floor plan is open and roomy. The large floor to ceiling windows offer lots of natural light. Hardwood floors in the main living areas. Wall-to-wall carpet in all sleeping areas. Walls are natural pine.

Located in the Hartwick area of Otsego County, it is only 9 miles from the Village of Cooperstown and 18 miles from the City of Oneonta. We are just 7 miles from the Cooperstown Dreams Park and 16 miles from the Cooperstown All Star Village.

Over 5,000 acres of State lands are available for hunting, fishing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and hiking just minutes from Oakview Lodge. Otsego Lake, Canadarago Lake, Goodyear Lake, and Susquehanna River are all nearby.

We have satellite TV, high speed wi-fi internet (as of October 2023), local and long distance phone (cell service is very limited), central air conditioning, washer and dryer for your use. Washer and dryer are not available in winter months. Gas fireplace is not available in summer months.

Place was very nice-host were good just unusual that you pay a cleaning fee and you’re still expected to vacuum the place before you leave and checkout is 9am so we had to pay 50 extra to have a later checkout at 11

Wknd getaway
Stayed at this property late January, with my wife, for a quiet winter getaway. The lodge was awesome, comfortable and cozy, with all amenities. Photos do not do it justice. Hot tub was great! Communication with hosts was easy, and Nate walked us through everything once we arrived. A definite recommendation for a couple or with the family.

Our seventh time in the cabin and it was lovely as always. The kitchen is great for cooking big breakfasts and family meals. The hot tub is a hit with the kids and the rooms are set up perfectly for a family.

Nice getaway!
Loved how quiet the surrounding area is. We saw numerous deer and turkeys roaming near the pond. Home was fully stocked with everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Amazing getaway

Family wedding weekend
we had 10 family members from across the country stay together for a holiday weekend wedding. The location was perfect for all the activities - Baseball HOF to breweries to lunches in Cooperstown - and we had plenty of space for everyone. The younger members of the family really enjoyed having the hot tub!

Wonderful Spot Near Cooperstown
The property is comfortable and unique. It has modern amenities such as a hot tub, dishwasher and washer/dryer and is set in a beautiful, quiet location. The house is a short drive to Cooperstown, making it a perfect home base to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame.

We stayed at this property during our recent week at Cooperstown Dreams Park. The property accommodated our group of 5 adults and two children. The children especially enjoyed opportunities to fish and enjoy the hot tub when we weren't at the ball field - which wasn't often! It is an 18 minute drive from the home to CDP.

The house was exactly as described- beautiful, clean, spacious and comfortable. We were vacationing here for a baseball tournament in Cooperstown. Would highly recommended for baseball families as there is more than enough room for multiple families. Nate and Dana are great hosts :)

We really enjoyed our peaceful stay! The land is absolutely beautiful. Nate and Dana are very accommodating. We had an ant issue one day and they quickly took care of it. We wish we would have had more time to relax at the lodge and enjoy the scenery, but we spent most of our time at the Cooperstown Dreamspark.

We enjoyed our stay overall. The hot tub was clean. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and there are plenty of towels. Beds were comfortable. However note that there is no shampoo, body wash, or kitchen basics provided - only salt and pepper (no oil, seasonings, water bottles, coffee, etc).

Out family stayed at Oakview Lodge while our son was playing at Dreams Park. Great property. Equipped with everything you could need. Wifi and Satellite TV worked great. Easy 15 minute drive to the Park or downtown Cooperstown.
