Best of Both Worlds. A country retreat but a short drive to everything

Our Charming Country Cottage (Main House), is in a beautiful garden setting surrounded by nature, Oak trees, fruit trees, California native plants, flowers and hiking trails. it is like living in a sanctuary. The best part is, it is a short drive to all amenities and the 101 freeway. This is the Main house on our property as there is a detached, separate guest house as well. (see our other listing. The guest house is rented separately and it has it's own driveway, entrance and private fenced yard). This listing is for the Main House only.

The Main House consists of 2 Bedrooms (we use the 2nd bedroom as an Office and guest room). The home has recently been remodeled. The Industrial Farmhouse Kitchen has all amenities, new dishwasher, professional gas range/oven, Refrigerator and open shelving and all amenities. The living room has beautiful Hickory wood floors, a stone wood burning fireplace, a Restoration Hardware Belgian Linen sofa and RH Boulipngerie French Rustic Farmhouse dining table. Living room has vaulted high ceilings with skylights, French doors, wood fireplace, 55" flat screen 4K TV, Cable TV and Streaming with Roku, ( you can add any channel like Showtime or HBO if you like). The Living room opens on to a large Indonesian Hardwood deck with outdoor teak dining furniture that seats 8 and a beautiful redwood Pergola. Under the pergola you will find one of our favorite additions, a super comfortable outdoor King size bed.The master bedroom has a Cal King Memory Foam Bed and french doors that open onto another beautiful deck beneath oak trees. This deck has a hammock, a hammock chair and a table that seats 4. It also has a BBQ. . The 2nd bedroom/office has new hickory wood floors and a super comfortable memory foam single bed. We will add a 2nd twin bed if you need it. We have 150/150mps Optical High Speed wireless internet, brand new forced air and heat, ceiling fans, outdoor dining, plenty of off street parking and a shared Washer/dryer ( in a shed outside and it is shared with guesthouse tenants who are a fantastic young couple). The Bathroom has just been remodeled. It is shower only and has french doors opening to a private garden sanctuary. There is also a beautiful shared OUTDOOR shower and claw foot BATHTUB on the property. The exterior has been completely landscaped. There is outdoor living room furniture. The street has very little traffic. There are friendly neighbors close by. We get ocean breezes so it is cooler here then in Agoura or the Valley. Each of our two houses has it's own driveway and private space. They are detached, separate in every way except that they share the washer dryer which is in a shed between the two houses. Both houses are private and sometimes we don't see the people from the guesthouse for days. There are neighbors on one side, however the houses on our street are quite far from our house so you actually feel like you are living in your own private park.
