Tropical living at it´s best! This Balinese bungalow in the heart of Manuel Antonio is only a block from the bus line to the beach, yet the location on a private road makes you feel like you are the middle of the rain-forest. This vacation home has two air-conditioned bedrooms in the main house, one with a queen size bed and one with a full, and king bed in the loft of the main house. The kitchen and sitting area are designed to be open-air, and the charming deck connects to create a large tropical common space unique to this home. Just a few meters away is "The Doll House," an air-conditioned casita with a day bed and trundle and a full bath.

As you approach the house, a gorgeous garden of tropical plants and flowers creates a beautiful entrance. A small plunge pool surrounded by a decorative concrete deck is just steps from the sliding door entrance and the wooden deck filled with seating, a plush porch swing, and a dining set. The fully-appointed kitchen and living area open up to the deck to create an excellent indoor/outdoor large living space. The gorgeous furnishings, all imported from Bali, will remind you of the most excellent vacation rentals in the area costing much more.

The fantastic rental price of this newly-built vacation bungalow in Manuel Antonio cannot be overlooked. This is an outstanding value for any traveler with many amenities and a perfect location near great restaurants and shopping plus the local bus line to Quepos and the beach. We had an amazing stay and the place was incredibly beautiful! Often we would find monkeys in the trees surrounding the property, they were so cute! And Sydney the property manager was incredibly helpful and kind. I highly recommend staying here.

We loved our time here. The location is very convenient and the home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Loved enjoying our morning coffee while watching the birds and listening to the wildlife! We would love to return again!

A beautiful home tucked into nature with pretty Balinese architecture and design! A great space for a small group, but can accommodate many people without feeling too massive. We saw so much wildlife everyday! Great location in Man Ant! Would 100% stay again!

Wonderful casita in convenient location

Very clean, well appointed home with plenty of space to sleep multiple people. Loved the location and ability to walk to many restaurants from the Vrbo. Also easy to grab a cab, get picked up for excursions, etc. would recommend and would stay again!

Little oasis in central locale

We had a great time here! The monkeys came to visit in the trees above, the kids loved the pool and we felt very welcomed by the concierge. We were thankful to have all the excursions planned and to be picked up.

Memorable Repeat Visit

We love this oasis. We stayed in the house 5 years ago and our second visit was even better. The accommodations are very comfortable -- crisp sheets, plush towels and kitchen comforts. We spend all our time on the porch, swinging, sipping and playing games. The yard comes alive in the morning with hummingbirds, opossum and parrots.

Sweet little oasis

My friend and I were looking for a quite place to spend a few days and hang and cook. We only left the house once to jump in the ocean. We basically sat on the hanging swing and relaxed in the plunge pool day and night. Was super cozy, bedrooms had cold AC, the host was very helpful and attentive. He met us and checked us in and out. I would stay here again.

Heaven on earth

Carlos was able to accompany us when we arrived home. Even though we arrived in the middle of the night. Throughout our stay he was very accessible and always available to us. As for the house, it is a real oasis! The backyard and its animals that show up there in the morning, a big wow! The kitchen is very well equipped. the house is spacious. The rooms have air conditioning, except the fourth which is in the open air on the second floor. However, this one is equipped with two fans. Very well located, access to the city bus is less than 5 minutes walk. Thank you very much Carlos for your help! Annie

So Nice!

It was just my wife and I who stayed at Casa Mango Tango. It is such a beautiful place to stay. It was a highlight of our trip just to be able to come home to such a nice place after a day of exploring and experience the jungle wildlife all around us while cooling off in the pool. In addition to the monkeys passing through each day, there were a pair of macaws that visited frequently. The house itself is decorated very tastefully, and the kitchen is well equipped if you plan on doing any cooking. The house felt very safe as well, with a locked gate to enter the property and 2 safes in the house to store your valuables. The strong air conditioner in the bedrooms were a godsend for a good night’s sleep. Carlos helped us out with everything we needed and even stocked us up with a few essentials for when we arrived. All around, this is one of the best VRBO we ever rented and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit Costa Rica’s Manuel Antonio / Quepos region.

Perfect Home Base in Manuel Antonio

My husband, son (14) and I just returned from a wonderful stay at Casa Tango Mango and would absolutely stay here again. Such a perfect little house tucked away so that you feel it's your own private oasis. We only used the 2 air conditioned bedrooms in the main house so, sadly, the cute casita sat empty. Although the main area is open air the fans do a good job keeping it cool and sitting on the porch swing under the fan was the most lovely spot for morning coffee and evening cocktails. It was HOT when we were there and the pool stayed nice and cool. Walkable to a good grocery store and several great restaurants near the Plaza. Bonus is a taxi stand at the top of the road and we found most drivers familiar with 'Casa Tango Mango' when returning from the beach or park. THE BEST part of this place for us were the monkeys! We saw so many of them almost each morning and evening in the trees, on the roofs and along the fences- hours of adorable entertainment!

Jungle Villa!

This open air villa is private and a great place to stay. The plunge pool was always super nice to dip into to cool off after hot days at the beach. We didn't end up using the Casita but in the main house there are 2 air conditioned bedrooms (one open-air bed in loft) which were nice to have because it was pretty hot/humid outside. We saw plenty of wildlife around the house including monkeys, agoutis and also saw a toucan. The location is solid I would say. You are walking distance to the markets and most restaurants, but if you wanted to walk to other restaurants in the heat of the day driving or taking the bus would be easier. The bus ride is around 10 mins to get to the main beach where you can rent chairs/umbrellas from the locals for $5-10. It feels like you are sort of living in the town with the location of the house, does not feel super built up/resort-like. In terms of cleanliness, it was as good as it could be with the open air concept. The main living area/kitchen of the house is only enclosed by screens so there were some bugs that go through but nothing too crazy. We recommend lots of sunscreen and bug spray when exploring! We recommend getting a guide at the national park, doing a jetski tour, and white water rafting. They were so much fun! I would overall recommend this place to people to stay at, just know you are living in the town and it will not give a resort-like feel. The hosts were amazing and super helpul!

Perfect Getaway in the Rain Forest

My family (2 adults, one 6 years old) love casa Mango Tango! The villa is so unique and we were able to spot monkeys and Toucans right from the patio. The bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchen were comfortable and well appointed, and even doing laundry was a breeze. Very easy access to restaurants and activities and David was great. Would highly recommend for groups and families!

Tango Mango is Awesome

My wife and I had a great time at Casa Tango Mango. Our host David was excellent and very communicative. Internet and work was very strong. Kitchen had all the tools you need. Main bathroom is large and beautiful. The house is fairly private and is very secure. Overall our stay was pretty spectacular. The only thing I would say is that if people have a hard time sleeping with a bit of noise then don’t book here. The wildlife will wake you up here because the house is very open to nature and does not protect from outside noise at all. That being said, we actually enjoyed that part of it.

4-bedroom gated villa hidden right off the main street.

Common open-air kitchen and living room surrounded by 4 bedrooms. Besides the loft with king-sized bed, the other 3 bedrooms all have air conditioning. 1 of these 3 bedrooms is the separate pool cabana with its own bathroom/shower. Kitchen/living room opens up to covered porch and small pool. Great aspect of this property is the 5-minute walk to the grocery and restaurants and bus stop down to the beach. No car really required. Definitely would pick this property again!

Perfect in-town jungle hideaway

We had a great stay at Casa Tango Mango! The charming, beautifully decorated bungalow was super private, shaded, jungly. We loved lounging around or in the little pool--spotted monkeys, agoutis, and a basilisk lizard while we sat on the patio. There was plenty of room for our family of four. Parents in back bedroom. Gorgeous, huge main bathroom. Our 18-year-old son had his own hideaway in the casita; 14-year-old had privacy sleeping upstairs in the loft. We could have accommodated another couple in the second air-conditioned bedroom in the main house! We had everything we needed to cook. Loved eating in the outdoor dining room. Walked or took taxis to restaurants the other nights. Taxi stand and bus stop are a hundred yards away, so you can easily get to the park, beaches, or anywhere, even if you don't want to rent a car. Easy walk to grocery store, pharmacy, ATMs, restaurants. Concierge and staff are easy to reach and very helpful. Added pluses: outdoor shower, and washer & dryer (so helpful if you're packing light). We can't wait to return.

Cute vacation oasis near the bus to the beach

We had an amazing time renting casa tango mango to celebrate a 30th birthday on a girls trip with 5 friends. The house easily could have fit more like 8 people! The pool is great for a quick dip to cool off, but the sun is not direct so it’s mostly shady so not too hot. It is a very relaxing house with AC in 3 bedrooms! The king bed is up in the loft had really strong fans so we could keep cool while sleeping up there despite not having AC up there. The hammock is lovely and David was a great contact who quickly answered our questions and provided support. Would love to come back some day soon! Thank you!!!

we travelled for a week with two teenagers. our stay at casa tango mango was excellent. very clean, elegant decor, an oasis of outdoor living. lots of wildlife and a good location for walking and easy access to restaurants shops beach. david our consierge was responsive and helpful. recommend costa verde for lunch and live music on weekends. would surely go back
