Finalmente hemos encontrado el lugar perfecto para una reunión grupal en un bed and breakfast de Texas hill country ... ¡Comanche Homestead! En esta tierra en expansión donde Comanche alguna vez deambulaba, se sienta esta cabaña de troncos de 6 habitaciones, perfecta para reuniones familiares, retiros de álbumes de recortes, invitados a la boda, lo que sea. Si bien la granja también es ideal para una pareja, tendrá capacidad para 14 huéspedes. Aunque se encuentra a solo una milla de Main Street, ¡definitivamente tiene el ambiente campestre!
La cabina tiene una sala grande en la planta baja con un televisor de plasma de 50 "con selecciones satelitales y un sofá cama adicional. Debajo del televisor hay una encantadora chimenea de leña de roca ... y los propietarios que viven en la superficie también le proporcionarán leña. También apreciará la gran cocina completa y el área de comedor, así como la lavandería, lo que hace de Comanche Homestead el lugar perfecto para una estadía prolongada.
El dormitorio principal también se encuentra abajo con una cama king size y TV LCD adicional de 32 ". Uno de los dos baños de la casa también se encuentra abajo e incluye una combinación de bañera / ducha. Great Getaway!

We had 3 couples in our group and we absolutely loved our stay here at Comanche Homestead. We were close to town but felt like we were way out in the country. Lovely property that was so roomy for our group. Beds were very comfortable, lots of room in the living area. The surrounding property had a stock tank with a dock. The two boxers were so friendly and greeted us every morning and evening. Loved seeing them running down the gravel road to say hi to us. Would definitely stay here again.

Family of 10 weekend

This house was great! We had 10 people, so with 6 bedrooms every person/partner has their own room. The house is conveintly close to town, but nice and tucked away so it was nice and quiet. Lots of seating inside and outside. These are not complaints, but good to note:-There are only 2 bathrooms (1 upstairs, 1 downstairs)-There are plates, cups, and silverware but you should bring your own Tupperware. There is some cookware but we wished we had brought our own. -There are some dogs and a cat on property that are very friendly. They will come right up to you. Things that should get fixed/updated:-the front door is difficult to open and close-the dishwasher leaks -ceilings fans would be a helpful house addition-better lighting inside to brighten the space

Would not stay here again

This place really, really, really needs a good cleaning. The dishwasher does not work and MUST be replaced. The door is broken on the small area which holds the dishwashing liquid, so the soap never comes out. People are putting away dirty dishes into the cabinet and silverware drawer. We had to wash every single thing before we used it. I was scared to use any of the pans in the cabinet. I had to capture the lizards and take them outside so I wouldn't be sleeping with them on the fold out sofa. No one cleans the nooks and crannies of anything. Luckily the shower wasn't bad and I felt comfortable using it. I needed to dig through the linen closet to find sheets that would fit the sofa bed and I was scared to do so. It was hard to find something I thought was clean and I had no idea what kind of insect was going to come bursting out of the stack. Absolute Charm boasts luxury accommodations, but this rental is NOT that. A good cleaning would go a long way. I did appreciate the lighting and signage at the end of the driveway on the blacktop road. It is a great location from town. We were visited by the local pets daily which I enjoyed.

Great place for family

We had a wonderful time! The kids had a great time feeding the goats and playing at the pond. There was planet of space for us to spread out and enjoy the beautiful weather and views!

Amazing time at amazing place

This is a beautiful log cabin, very spacious, with all the amenities of a modern home. It is next door to the main street in Fredericksburg. The owners are very hospitable. There is a bunch of goats, including baby goats, a llama, and several ducks. The younger kids had a blast.

Very Good

House was perfect for our group. Everyone loved the animals. A few things that could have been better. Black coffee pot doesn't work properly. It took 3 hours to brew 6 cups. Thank goodness there were other coffee pots to use. Kitchen could have been cleaner especially the light above the stove. Burners on the stove were a bit difficult to light.

Comanche Homestead

Comanche Homestead has been our annual lodging location since 2011. We missed 2020 due to covid. We love this location and never consider staying anywhere else. I reached out to Danny Hallford regarding several maintenance issues that we have not encountered in prior years. There were issues with the dishwasher, microwave and washing machine, front screen door, missing window treatment and air vent function issue in one of the bedrooms as well as minor cleaning issues. Danny is always responsive and confirmed he will look into this. These problems did not change our mind about this location. We plan to book again for 2025 once our group confirms a date for this annual trip.

THE ANIMALS GREAT, THE HOME TERRIBLE DUE TO IT BEING RUN DOWN

still waiting for the owners information so i can get my money back as it was very deceitful for them to post pictures like you are staying in quality quarters when in fact, you aren't. the home is totally run down and needs to be upgraded, everything in the home was filthy dirty and the coverings on all the beds had not been cleaned as their were still stains on the bedding. i am just so upset that i paid good money for my family to spend a wonderful weekend in the country and hurt that most of them were sick with allergies from the dust everywhere!

Fantastic

We had a wonderful time the house was great the land and the animals and the proximity Fredricksburg was all great there's only one complaint and that is I think you need a better cleaning company. The house was a little bit rough, dirty floors, kitchen, etc..

Another successful family getaway

Country feel in the city

This was a beautiful country property with all the amenities a farm offers. We loved all the animals around us. Friendly cat, dogs, horses. There was a llama, ducks, goats. Huge land, access to a little stocked lake. Our group enjoyed the quiet country feel just as much as driving 3 minutes and getting to the town center. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay. We hope to return.

Nice log wood farmhouse

We were a group of bicycle riders who needed a place to stay during an event. While management company was not very accommodating (denied much needed early check in and failed to describe coffee maker available), owner lives next door and was able to respond instantly. Farm is nice with plenty of animals and gorgeous sunsets.

Fall stay with friends

A nice location and property for a group gathering, however, this place needs some attention. One of the toilets didn't work and the other had issues as well. The TV had no internet connection and the owners were not able to fix the problem.

Daughters birthday stay

My daughter is 11 and absolutely loved her first stay in a log cabin. It’s is a charming home, and Maverick the dog is the perfect greeter. Kiddos really liked the outdoor swing and their rooms. We enjoyed seeing the goats in the field and being so close to downtown. The porch was our favorite place to enjoy morning coffee. Loved the rock inside of the home. We would have liked some regular coffee for the morning, but all that was available was decaf- so we had to run and get some. Carpet is older and not the cleanest, and the dishwasher was falling out. Overall this is a nice place for a large family or group to stay and outdoor area is charming as well.

Sister time

Everything was great except we were told the coffee maker was a Keurig and that coffee would be provided. It was not a Keurig and the coffee provided was decaf. HEB is close enough to correct that so no real issue just a bit of constructive criticism! Would definitely rent this cabin again!

Amazing

We loved the stay. It’s close enough to the main area but yet far enough that you felt you were completely away. Loved the visit from Maverick and snoopy, the pups, and the goats every morning and evening. We loved the fact we were close enough to the main drag that we could go get cleaned up before we went out to eat.

Plenty of room for the whole family!

Nice rustic cabin with plenty of room for all 11 people without feeling cramped. The owners are super kind and even brought over a baby goat to let the kids feed it. The cabin is on their farm but only a mile or so from Main St which was awesome. Made it very easy to go out and shop or eat if we didn't want to stay in. Only two drawbacks -1. The cabin needs a deep clean by a professional with mold remediation in the bathrooms. 2. The cabin sits right next to, what I'm guessing, is the family's landscaping business. It's a bit of eyesore if you think you are going to be on sprawling country land. Not a big deal but not what was expected from the pictures. Overall we had a great time and accomadated the whole family for a good price.

High School Friends-Girls Trip

We loved the house, and the area. Just about a mile from town but we were in the country away from everybody! We really loved the goats, horses and llama!! The house is so cozy. We would definitely stay here again.
