Gorgeous location! A unique and fun set up with tons of extra touches (fire starter and s'mores kit, stain remover, paper plates, games, bean bags, outdoor fridge and kitchen set up, etc). Super clean. Private and together space perfect for a big group.

PVXC Reunion

We are a bunch of former (70’s) high school cross country teammates who get together each year to run a race. This year we ran the Hiawatha Trail and we needed a place that could accommodate our group. Bear Creek Cabins was perfect for us! Miriam is a wonderful host and had everything ready for our stay. The cabins are clean and well kept. The outdoor kitchen area is amazing and we spent a lot of our time just hanging out there. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We are thrilled that the cabins worked well for your group! The outdoor kitchen area tends to be the heart of the complex where food is cooked and memories are made. Thank you for choosing Bear Creek Cabins for your stay!

Just what we needed.

Everything about the Cabin Retreat was amazing. The level of comfort and attention to detail was impeccable. We absolutely loved the outdoor kitchen and having instant hot water tanks at every sink/bathroom was an unexpected bonus. Nothing was skimped on, from the available supplies in the kitchen, the stash of board games, or the cozy bedding. We also greatly appreciated the low-scent detergent used for the bedding and towels. It was just one more little thing that made our stay even better.

Great cabin for families

We enjoyed our stay at the “cabin-retreat”. We (just 1 of us) used it as a base camp for exploring and fishing the North Fork CDA region. It is more well-suited for a larger group, say several families, who enjoy hanging out together. It is set up for outdoor meal prep and eating, which is fine if the weather complies. The interior kitchen is minimalistic with a very small 2-burner stove and no oven. You need to unplug the coffee maker to use the toaster oven. The sleeping cabins are nice and there is a washer-dryer and shower

We had the pleasure of staying at this retreat!

We had the pleasure of staying here in this cabin. Pro's- This place has Everything! Has a gorgeous outside patio area (covered) with barbeque, black stone grill, microwave and all the things you need to cook!Beds were comfortable, with comfybedding! The bath house was equipped with everything you might need! This property was clean, and had beautiful views! If you love being one with nature, this place is for you! Con's! This place is located in the STICKS! You're up in the mountains deep! The steep gravel road to reach this property is a bit sketchy! Straight up! Be prepared to use your 4 wheel drive, or all wheel drive for safety purposes! Camera's! Be prepared to be on camera 24/7. There are cameras located on every cabin! When you enter they warn you this place has 24/7 SURVEILLANCE! And they aren't kidding! I noticed at least 6 camera's! They watch them like a hawk! Absolutely NO PRIVACY! I had a unsettled feeling about it! Emails- She will comment on everything as your stay progresses. Whether it's on your pets, your members in your party, who is staying nightly, and so on... Fee's! Be prepared to PAY! there were hidden fee's and they changed their policies overnight! First Aid kit! If you're lucky you will not use it, however we were not! One of our friends recieved a spider bite on the wrist the first night while sleeping. His wrist swelled, and this made him sick! He had to stay back from fun activities to take care of this unfortunate bite!

Thank you for taking the time to provide your review of your stay at our cabins! The location of the cabins does feel like you’re in the sticks and the road up is steep and narrow at times. It’s a trade-off to be only 15 minutes from I-90, yet immersed in nature. 😊 In the welcome message we send to our guests, we make note of the road to reduce surprises, and we confirm the number of guests and whether or not there are pets to be sure that the reservation and payments are accurate before your arrival, and this provides an opportunity to update the reservation in case plans have changed. Upon your arrival, it was noted that there were additional guests and pets. I processed a payment request for the $50/guest/night for the 4 additional guests and the $100 pet fee, which are the same fees that are listed on VRBO. There were no additional fees charged, nor were our policies changed. Your understanding, prompt communication and payment was greatly appreciated! There are 3 exterior video surveillance cameras that monitor the road and the courtyard areas. Again, I thank you for your review! Guest feedback is helpful for future guests and for us to continually work to provide a great experience at the cabins.

We had an amazing stay at Bear Creek Cabins! The property is absolutely beautiful, with incredible mountain views and plenty of space for our entire group to spread out while still having great gathering areas. The separate cabins gave everyone privacy, and the main cabin, pavilion, and outdoor kitchen were perfect for spending time together. We especially loved relaxing around the fire in the evenings and taking in the peaceful surroundings. The property was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. The location was ideal—private and secluded, yet close enough to the river, trails, and interstate for easy day trips. If you’re looking for a place to reconnect with family or friends in a gorgeous North Idaho setting, this is it. We would definitely stay here again!

One-of-a-Kind, indeed!

I booked this amazing property to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday. From Spokane, WA., it is just an hour and 15-minute drive on I-90, making the Kingston area a perfect spot for weekend getaways. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a lovely welcome-to-the-cabin basket and even a card for my husband. Very thoughtful and much appreciated. Owners were available via text or by calling in case we needed anything, which we didn't - as they have thought of EVERYTHING! The property is even better than the photos! Each cabin was immaculate and was supplied with anything you might need. It is the perfect place for gatherings large and small. The view - THE VIEW!!! it is one that is hard to put into words. Early morning with a cup of tea, watching the clouds in the canyon - and the sun rising - setting the tone for a perfect day. The sunset over the beautiful forest and valley below. I mean, I could get used to that. Plus, you just cannot beat time spent around the campfire at night. We are already planning our next trip to this amazing property. Gail Golden
