About this property

Hideaway Haven- In town 5 bedroom Snowy Mountain Chalet in Charming Wallace

Spring and summer update: As of May 8th, 2026, 2 outside tables and chairs will be available!
Enjoy a peaceful stay at this 5-bedroom house in Wallace. The tranquil space features a king bed, three queen beds, and a cozy bunk bed, and a work space, perfect for families or groups. Guests can unwind in two bathrooms, both offering a soothing bathtub/shower experience. The house stays comfortable year-round with heating and AC. This home is located centrally in Historic Downtown Wallace - Only a block from all main events, shops, spirits, restaurants, etc. Located 20 min from Lookout Pass Ski resort, and 13 min to Silver Mountain Ski resort in Kellogg. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, Wallace has lots of hiking, fishing, antiquing, biking the CDA Rails to Trails/Trail of the Coeur d'Alene's, biking the Hiawatha Trail, many local events, etc. Whatever time of year guests come, they are sure to find something fun to do! This home offers a layout that is spacious for family and friends, and is cozy and comfortable after a day of adventuring. Whether you’re relaxing indoors or gathering with friends, the brilliant layout makes every moment enjoyable. We hope you enjoy what our place and Wallace have to offer.

We have a back room that is set up for all your bikes, skis, snowboarding and other gear. It has a bench to sit to take off all the gear used in the winter and summer months outside. It even has its own entrance to the side of the house that you can easily get to with gear.

We have aimed to try to keep our kitchen amenities stocked and up to date! We have a popcorn/coffee/tea bar as well. We try to update it for different tastes! We have a special Disneyworld popcorn salt that we love enough to share! We always are happy to hear your ideas as well!

Pets: Our pet policy is for dogs only, we apologize! We do not have a weight limit on dogs, as our best friends come in all ages and weights! We can only allow dogs potty trained outside. Sorry, but we cannot allow dogs that are trained to use pee pads indoors. Please do not wash any pet items in the washer or dryer, as we cannot mix it with our washing items for the house. Please do not allow your pets to be on any furniture or beds. We really hope you can follow this rule as it helps the dog fee to not get higher, and us to continue to allow dogs. We will leave clean pet bowls for your pets in case you forget yours at home. Please do not leave water bowls on the carpet. Please do not use any of our dishes, bedding, or towels for your pets. We would appreciate it if when your dog is wet, or muddy, they do not lay on the carpet. There is a mat once in the front door that is specifically meant for paws and feet to help with that! This really is only a problem mostly in the winter with the snow outside! Please pick up all things from your dog, both inside and out. All poop should be in poop bags before placing in outside garbage. We cannot allow poop bags in the inside garbage. The $75 pet fee is included in the price when booking with a pet. If more than normal animal wear and tear is done, we will send pictures to discuss the damage and the terms to fix it. We are hoping it never comes to that as most people take care when bringing their dogs. If you notice your pet has a mishap, please let us know right away. We truly just want a good outcome to correct the issue with you, we are not ones to try and make you feel bad. We know accidents happen, and the sooner we can get the situation resolved, the easier it usually is. Please ask any questions you may have about pets, we always are here to help!

We are always happy to communicate! I can promise we will always be welcoming of your questions. Please don't hesitate to to text/call if VRBO messages aren't being answered quickly. I aim to respond quickly, and if I do not, it would only be if my VRBO messages are not updating quick enough.

We are always trying to add to our house to make it better for guests and we would love to hear your thoughts after sharing!
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

About the host

Our hosting whole story- My husband and I were in the process of buying this home for us to live in, then life happened! While we still bought the house, we will be using it for hosting instead! We have put so much love into this house, and we can't wait to share it with all of you! This house is not just a rental for us, it is all of our hopes and dreams as well. We will do our absolute best to bring smiles to as many people as we can! Our goal is to keep making this house better for everyone who stays in it. We are always welcoming of suggestions and ideas! While we cannot make a promise we can fulfill every suggestion, we will do our best to try and see what works! We are not simply home buyers that let someone else do all the work. I can promise you every detail of this house was chosen by my husband and me. We truly care about the guest experience, not only the payout!

Why they chose this property

My husband and I love most things outdoors. We would truly rather live in the woods most times of the year! We have a German Shepherd that is almost 13, and he is my whole world! Lucky for us, I can tell he feels the same way! We love small towns, close community, and the ability to go a few minutes in different directions to be driving up in the mountains.

We visited this charming town on Memorial Day as one of the places we wanted to possibly move to one day. A week after we got home we decided to get our house ready to be sold, and got it sold by August! That is how much impact this town had on us, and I believe it can do the same to so many others. The feeling this town can leave on someone's heart, should not be missed by anyone!

What makes this property unique

We have a very large driveway for Wallace! There are many houses in town where there is only street parking, and even that can be a challenge... When we were looking to buy a house, parking was one of our must-haves. We have many vehicles, and toys, and wherever we go, they go! We were lucky enough to find both our dream home, and our dream driveway. Behind our house is a hill, so there's no one to try and share any parking spaces. In a town where people come for all kinds of adventure, many times toys needing parking is a must, and you will definitely have that here!
