This beautiful home has it all-- -- - a rustic modern feel with simple yet luxurious
lakeside ambience. You will find everything you need for a relaxing, fun-filled
vacation. Point William is Smith Lake’s most exclusive new development and is
conveniently located off Co. Rd 222. It is adjacent to, but not on, the main body of water; we appreciate the limited boat traffic. This means safety for those swimming off the pier as well as those kayaking or paddle-boarding right off the private dock. The double-slip boat dock is just steps away from and level with the house.
The custom craftsmanship of the home is obvious upon your arrival with calming neutral colors throughout. You enter on the main level to find the kitchen, the dining room and a living area with a fireplace and flat screen TV. Stunning views beckon you from the porch directly outside (unless you become entrapped in the comfortable recliner). XM music and DirectTV provide full entertainment options. The butler’s pantry has a coffee pot, microwave, icemaker and crockpot. A large freezer separate from the refrigerator serves those with substantial cooking plans in this well furnished kitchen.
The upper level has two guest rooms overlooking the lake with queen beds and a shared bathroom. The unique and adorable bunkroom above accessible by a ladder climb has four twin beds. This “crows nest” is not for little ones, seniors or those afraid of heights, but will be a hit with any older children and the young at heart. There is a ladder guard available to put up to keep the little ones off the steps.
The secluded master bedroom and bath are on the lower level with a king bed and flat screen TV. Here you have your own entrance to the lower level deck and view of the lake. The laundry is on this level as well as the entrance to the, inglenook, a sheltered recess with an adjoining fireplace. This cozy private nook with walls on three sides may well become your favorite part of this fabulous house.
Besides being the perfect spot for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and great fishing, you can also take a break from the lake to enjoy the complex’s pool and pool house. Here you will also find extra parking and a comfortable lounging area in the shade. All of the grounds are well-maintained in this peaceful and private neighborhood.
Whether you are enjoying that first cup of coffee while watching the sunrise, relaxing with a book on the dock or all gathered in the inglenook to share the best parts of your day -- -- -- -you will cherish the peace and tranquility you have gained while making lasting memories.
DIRECTIONS to 276 POINT WILLIAM LANE in CRANE HILL
Take I 65 to exit 305. Go west on County Road 222 for approx.. 17 – 18 miles.
(There are 2 4-way stops on 222 so be watching for them.)
You will pass Beulah’s Church, Dollar General (a second one), Skinner’s Store, the Arrowhead Park turn-off, and Livingston Church.
From Livingston Church, go about 1.3 miles to CR933. Take a right on CR933 at the deserted store. Go 1 mile on 933. (You will pass the turn-off for Silverrock Cove.)
Turn right onto CR931 at about the 1 mile mark. ( There may not be a sign for
931). The small Point William sign on the right comes up suddenly. You will first
see a house with the right side of the roof painted red. Follow CR931 for about 1mile passing the blue “Crane Hill Farm Garden”.
931 dead-ends into Point William. Point William Lane is a circular road and is one-way and steep. Stay to the left coming down along the fence. We are the 4th house passed the house with the orange door.
So…. CR 222-- -- -CR933- -- -- CR931. (Your GPS alone may take you somewhere else!)
Do NOT attempt to bring a boat down this narrow road.
There is a boat launch at Arrowhead Park; the cost is $5. A great map of Smith Lake is available at the office there for $7.00. Office Mgr. Melanie can answer most of your questions.
