Overall nice location…not too far from beach…bike there in 5-10 min or short drive. Plenty of space for my family of 5 and it was nice to walk on the marina docks and see the boats and view.

Fantastic home and location

This home was clean and well stocked. The owners were very kind and easy to contact. We enjoyed the view of the boats at the marina. It is a great location. It is close to restaurants, stores and the beach. It is a wonderful home and beautifully decorated.

Our weekend at the Boat House was awesome. Christine was there to greet us and give us a tour to explain everything. The house was nicer than the pictures and very well equipped. It was a very relaxing get away.

Location is superb. On the water. Excellent view. Access to the dock for fishing, crabbing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Few easy minutes to the beach. House is fully updated and upscale. Christiane is very responsive and very nice. Entire family was super happy with our stay!

Best vacation ever

The Boat House was wonderful the moment you get there walking through the home. It’s so relaxing and inviting. The owners are very nice people and their attention to detail in this home is wonderful. They are so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this property. We have stayed in other VRBO’s and this one takes the cake. Everything you need, just pack your clothes.

The views from this property are magical. Once you walk into the living room you are transported to the most relaxing and peaceful oasis. The home has absolutely everything you could need and the Owners were amazing. They were available when needed and left us to enjoy their home when we didn't. I would recommend this home to everyone.

Amazing vacation rental!!!

We spent the most amazing week in Cape May at The Boat House in Roseman's Boat Yard! The house is recently renovated and has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Decorated by Chris herself in a wonderful beachy decor, the house is exactly how it appears in the pictures and is SO clean! Chris and Don are wonderful and gracious hosts. They are accessible, but not intrusive in any way. The location is peaceful as it is not in a high traffic touristy area. We spent our evenings on the porch relaxing and watching the beautiful sunsets in the marina. Quick drive to downtown Cape May sites and restaurants. Highly recommend this rental! We will definitely be back! Thank you Chris and Don for sharing your lovely home!

We have been coming to Cape May for a long time and this is absolutely our best trip! Cannot thank Christiane and Don enough for their hospitality and generosity during our stay. They connected us with some truly amazing people that made our trip. They were incredibly kind to us and our kids and that we count as the most special. Great conversations! Being able to fish off the docks, go paddle boarding and kayaking made this an unforgettable trip. The home is beautiful, well decorated and spacious. It was beach-y modern without being over the top - really well done! We took full advatange of a great kitchen, cooking up the catch of the day and firing up smoothies. Truly a memorable experience! Dockside Tranquility

Fabulous stay at The Boat House! This was a “girlfriends get-away”, 6 of us have been going away together for 30+ years.The owners were wonderful and the house is gorgeous. It was very clean and well stocked with kitchen items (and toilet paper). The decorating is just beautiful, the beds were very comfortable, good pillows and lovely comforters. Great water pressure in the showers. We were able to take advantage of an “off season” linen package offered by the owners ( very nice quality sheets and towels). The L-shaped wall of windows provided a panoramic view of the boats, dock & water. For me there is nothing more soothing than being near the water. If we hadn’t had so many fun things planned to do in Cape May I would have been content to stay in the house; that’s how lovely it was, and of course, the view…Definitely want to stay here on the next visit to Cape May.

so beyond amazing! the boat house is the best rental house we have ever stayed at, and we travel a lot! courteous and caring hosts, cleanliness, every resource and house need, comfortable and modern. we needed to be together as a family and it felt like we were completely at home. my family loved the house too and want to come back again and rent it. i even joked i was going to move in! christiane and don were the most accommodating and supportive hosts i have ever experienced. we had everything we needed which allowed us time to just be together and feel at peace on the beautiful cape may waters. there is no better rental house for me! we will be back!! Amazing!!!!

My husband and I have been bringing our two boys to Cape May since they were babies (now 14, 19) and this was by far our favorite vacation home so far. Chris and her husband Donald are such gracious hosts. The Boat House is so comfortable, you won't want to leave. We fished and crabbed right off the docks, had the chance to talk to the boaters and even got a private paddle board lesson from Marty, a local at the marina. Each morning we had coffee and watched to boats go by. In the evening we saw the most spectacular sunsets from the porch . The inside of the house was perfectly decorated and appointed. It was hard to eat out because the kitchen was a cooks dream. We especially loved the wine fridge. On a few occasions, Donald set up the outdoor kitchen for us to use and even offered herbs from their herb garden. If you are looking for a special getaway in Cape May you must stay at The Boat House. It is truly a "hidden gem". We will definitely be returning.

Our family was looking for a peaceful and relaxing place to spend some quality time with our ailing parents. We also knew this trip would be the last one we would take as a family, so it was so important for us to find the right house and location. "The Boat House" by far, exceeded all our expectations. The owners, Christaine and Don, were so wonderful and very accommodating. They made us feel right at home and what a lovely home it is! The home is beautifully decorated and the amenities were wonderful. Everything we could possibly need was right at our finger tips. The views from all the windows were breathtaking and the beds were very comfortable. ;) The guys enjoyed fishing from the dock and meeting some of the deck hands who were so helpful and fun. We also enjoyed sitting outside and relaxing, just taking in the beauty that surrounded us! Thank you so much Christaine and Don, for your wonderful hospitality and for making this very special and emotional time with our parents, one we will cherish always and never forget. Lovely home in family boatyard of Cape May Marina

This is a lovely home along with two other renovated properties since the matriarch of the mulit-generational family lot moved out. There’s a real community that lives, works and recreates from Roseman’s Boatyard, where the Boat House claims the central position: a beautiful spot right on the dock overlooking the backwaterways of Cape May. Christianne and Donald have impeccable taste and have created a beautiful, comfortable rental home repleat with all the amenities one could want: beach tags for 6, numerous cruiser bikes, 2 kayaks and at least 3 paddle boards. It took a couple days to figure out how the arrangements work, but these are available to the rental family to use along with the supervision and tutalge of Marty, “the Medical Marvel Man” as we affectionately referred to him. He’s Donald’s bestie and like the first mate of anything needed by guests at the Boatyard, including paddle board lessons & fishing poles for our boys: he’s ever generous and attentive. We were welcomed to enjoy the marina, tour the docks, and make ourselves at home on the boatyard, which we gladly did and thoroughly enjoyed.. While nothing to do with the Boat House directly, multiple surrounding boat and home owners fly Trump flags: there were up to 10 at one count within a .25 mile radius of our location. My family and I are white, and we never felt personally uncomfortable, (politically, another story...) but I feel it’s important to note this for families for whom personal comfort and safety in the surrounding location might be impacted.

Hello everyone - This review is a bit late. Our family of four stayed at The Boat House Mid-August. We have stayed in Cape May many times, but this was our first time staying in the marina. We are so happy that we made that decision this year because The Boat House did NOT disappoint on so many levels. First the Owners – Chris & Don are amazing! They are available when you need them but not intrusive at all. I would come back just to see them again and of course their dog Tiller!. The house is way more than what the picture show. The décor was beautiful ( Great job Chris!), the space was more than ample for the four of us. You literally don’t need to worry about bringing anything extra as the house has all the amenities you need. The wrap around windows showcasing the marina was EVERTHING! Loved waking up to seeing the sunrise and the boats. The spa-ish bathrooms were perfect and the beds were very comfortable. We used to outdoor deck with awning every morning for coffee and every evening for cocktails! This is the “Spot” – You see all the activity of the marina, the beautiful boats and if you are looking for great conversation, you will find it here. This is Why we booked. I have to add that you may think its noisy – but this area has a peaceful way about it, a quiet noise that will relax you. Walk the dock path - if you are looking for that perfect FB, IG, etc…sunset pic, you will get that here. THE most beautiful sunsets! Or you can just sit on your deck with your cocktail and enjoy. We used the available kayaks many times - Very Safe and easy to get in and out. We went to the beach every day – 5 min drive and never had a parking problem. – Thanks for the ice Chris and Don! Walking distance to a great breakfast at Salt Water Café, grab a beer and shooters at the Schooner, great dinner at Luck Bones. There’s no doubt , we will be back!

Boathouse totally exceeded our expectations! The pictures don't do the property justice. The interior was upper end coastal and gorgeous. This was not a rental, it was a home!! Well stocked kitchen, thoughtful and comfy interior. Beautiful furniture and great indoor spaces. The location is walkable to many restaurants and sights. Washington Street Mall was walkable as well with a 30 minute stroll along beautiful streets. It was a quick couple minute drive to the beach, 15 minutes to Wildwood, Naval Air Museum, Ferry and plenty of other enjoyable things to do. Best part may be staying at the Mariana and getting to watch the comings and goings of the boats. The sunsets are spectacular!!! Our hosts were pleasant, helpful when needed, and responsive to any questions we had. We certainly would not hesitate to stay at this property again!

My husband and I stayed at this gorgeous home with our 1 year old daughter and everything was absolutely perfect! Christine even set up a crib and high chair for us. This Boatyard marina has been here since1876, my husband has grown up here as a child ,we are the fourth generation to operate this place!
Donald is always around and personally their no other place he rather be!
The people that have a boat slip with us never leave , we have second generation slip holders! We have an open table and chairs with umbrella on the edge of the dock where everyone gathers, and your more then welcome to sit in and enjoy all the great people that gather!
