Great location, lovely fireplace, pet friendly, quaint & interesting historical value, nice coffee shop & pizza place close by, very restful environment, perfect resting spot after exploring Amish countryside....would love to return....& Would definitely recommend to others....
Our second time to gather with extended family at the stone cottage for Christmas and now for New years. So festive and cozy for Christmas. Lovely gathering space to relax with family. Nice big dining table to enjoy meals and for the kids to color and play games. Love the fireplace. Plenty of storage to put away suitcases and really feel at home. We love the coffee shop next door and going in to Berlin.
This was the fourth year my family has stayed at the Stone Cottage Inn, and we're already booked for next year. Perfect number of bedrooms and bathrooms for eight of us. The rustic charm is definitely its selling point. We love staying here and hope to continue for years to come.
This property looks exactly like the pictures! It is so quaint and simply adorable! We had 4 people stay for a girls trip, but we could've easily had several more! The cottage is in a great location with a coffee shop right next door, pizza and ice cream just down the street, and a park right behind! We even got to watch a baseball game at the park during our stay! We would definitely stay here again!
The house was cozy and comfortable. We loved everything about it. We've been taking a Girl's Trip almost every year for over 30 years. We really enjoyed this house.
We spent our time enjoying the Amish food along with a spectacular coffee shop right next door. There was plenty to do. Berlin was a few minutes away and always fun to go to
House is gorgeous! Well kept, very clean and everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed going the cafe next door also. We look forward to our next trip to Ohio and hope to stay here again. Highly recommend! Thank you. From North Carolina
If you are making a trip to Holmes County and surrounding areas…this charming cottage is awesome. The location is great. This cottage was built in the 1800’s and the remodeling that had been done is incredible (be sure to check out the book with the before pictures). The kitchen is well stocked with more than the necessities. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return.
Our favorite place to stay in Amish Country! The Stone Cottage is beautiful and our home away from home. So cozy and clean with everything you need! We have been staying here for years!
The cottage is clean, well decorated and nicely appointed. It had everything we needed. There is a section of the yard that is fenced which worked well for our dogs. It is a unique experience to see the old stonework and the progression of the restoration in the photo album. This place has been well loved. The cafe next door has good food and hot and cold drinks definitely worth visiting.
As life-long residents of Holmes County we are delighted to offer the small town atmosphere to our guests at the Stone Cottage Inn.
Why they chose this property
Of all the towns in our area, Winesburg is our favorite because it maintains the quaint small town feel.
What makes this property unique
The thick stone walls, warm hearth, and historic restoration will take you back in time as you listen to the clip-clop of passing Amish buggies on the road. Guests can enjoy the community park and playground directly behind the cottage. In season, fresh Concord grapes hang in thick bunches from the century-old vine adorning the front of the Cottage.
