We stay every year. This cabin is comfortable, spacious and has lots of parking. Highly recommended. The host is responsive and friendly!

An absolute steal for the price. Bryan was on top of everything and very quick to save the day when we couldn’t figure out the boat. Very cozy cabin that felt more like staying with family rather than the cold hotel feeling of many rentals. The view from the sun room is unbeatable and even on rainy days creates the coziest atmosphere. The beds were comfy, the water area was nice and sandy, the fire pit fully stocked, and ample parking for 6 individuals. We absolutely loved visiting and will be back if Bryan will have us!

This is our second time booking this property. The hosts are absolutely amazing. There was an issue with electricity in part of the house and they sent an electrician over the the 4th of July weekend and got it fixed right away. Also for the inconvenience they let us use the boat for free for the rest of our stay. Our kids absolutely love this place we will be back year after year.

This is such a wonderful place for a getaway right on the water. The kids were constantly occupied with the boating, swimming and fishing (they caught multiple bluegill, bass, and even a pike). A full park with beach and playground is just a quick boat ride or drive away. The home was clean and had everything we needed (including toys and games for the kids), plus a gorgeous view of the lake from the 4 seasons room. We loved opening all the windows and drinking our coffee from the couches while we watched the kids fish and play outside in the mornings!Listing needs to be updated: there was no double bed in the living room (looks like they updated the couch, which may have previously been a pull out?), and the basement bed was a twin trundle rather than a double bed. The stairs to the basement are not great for young children due to being extremely steep, but there is a lock on the outside of the basement door to prevent littles from entering. Recommend bringing your own firewood, and if renting the pontoon you will need to refill the tank with rec fuel.That being said, the kids are already asking when we can come back! We had a great stay, and the host is very friendly. Super easy check in and check out, too.

Well apportioned house with amazing views of the lake from almost every window. Plenty of room, very comfortable. Host was accessible and friendly. Highly recommend. Would come back.

Always the best time spent at the lake. It has a true lake cottage feel. Bryan is always responsive. Already rented for next year. If you are looking for a family cottage on the lake to spend time with family this is it!

Great place

Family Reunion great place to stay. Perfect shade for hot summer days. Great raft for the kids. Plenty of chair to accommodate everyone. Older house but many rooms to sleep in with lots of bedding and towels.

Nice family vacation

We enjoyed the house and lake. The house seemed cleaner than last year and it was great that the cupboards were cleaned out so we could put stuff away. We missed the paddle board that was there last year. We really had fun on the paddle boat, floating dock and the kayaks.

Perfect lake house

This was our second time renting this house and there has not been one issue. Everything was as it should be and everyone had a blast! Already rented for next year!

Fun for all

We had a great time. The kids had fun playing, fishing, roasting marshmallow’s and playing with all the toys! Adults had fun on the kayaks and paddle boat. A great location! Thank you for sharing it with us!

Left the men home :)

Girlfriend’s getaway. Brought the kids, left the husbands at home. House was everything we needed and more. Spent the days enjoying the kayaks, paddle boat, floating raft, and docks for fishing. The weekend flew by, but we were so happy to have found this place on the lake.

grandma & grandpas lakehouse

It’s like staying at g’ma & g’pa lake house. Everything and anything you could need or want is at your fingertips. We all enjoyed the lake & pontoon. The kids enjoyed the paddle boat, kayaks and the swim platform. My husband and I enjoyed the sun room during every part of the day. Thank you for the enjoyable stay.

Our Family is from Lansing and Grand Rapids, MI. We love Michigan. Summer time at the lake has given us our best memories. We are so excited to have our kids and Grandkids spend time with us to provide them with the special memories they will have.

We have also been renters for many years. In 2003 we rented on School Section Lake and it became one of our favorite lake's in Michigan. When we realized this year we could finally get our lakefront property this is the ONLY lake we looked at. We love it that much. In 2013, we purchased the neighboring cottage and have loved it ever since. In 2018 we purchased this property as well because we love the incredible view. We are directly across from the gorgeous colorful island and penninsula with nothing but mature trees. And beyond that you see the hundreds of acres of county land that is free of cabins and left as nature intended it to be. We also realized quickly this is a home. It is beautiful and fully equipped with everything you need. You only need to bring your clothes, food and drink and plan on having everything else already here. The lake is special. It is well maintained by the Association for weed control, the clearest water around and this incredible 'up north feel'. It has character with the island, peninsulas and amazing mature pines. There is a county park on the lake that has an amazing swimming area and walking trails. However this is still a semi-private lake. The lake only allows boats with motors less than 10hp. We as property owners can have as we please. And this courtesy is extended to you if you choose to bring a boat or Jet Ski.

You can also bring your own boat or rent a pontoon if desired.The semi-private lake keeps boat traffic down. The morning, late evening no-wake's and all sports during the day it the perfect balance of peaceful cruising, fishing and the fun of an all-sports lake when you just want to get out and enjoy the water and the sun.
